RIP Legend What a debut song
  3. it seems like Twitter/X and Insta have been having some serious embedding issues lately, and have been adopting dark patterns like redirect loops to make it harder to leave their site
  4. I would take any day in the tropic or sub tropic temperature range over the heat and humidity of the southern US this time of year. We spent summers in south Florida for years and it was hot, but it was more manageable than TN is this week. We would just head in or to the pool during the mid day, mornings and evenings were perfect for being outside. It doesn’t really cool down at night, but that was still manageable. If you’re trying to escape the heat right now, you’re out of luck most places. We’re in Denver for Mumford and Sons this week and it has been right at 90 the last three days.
  5. He's damn good at PBP for the Cowboys though.
  6. The more practice & friendly time he can get with the squad the better.
  7. One of the least tech savy areas in the country, right there wish SW Arkansas and the state of Mississippi.
  8. 9. Flooding the zone. That's all Trump is doing. Say stupid outlandish shit that the idiots in the media will immediate seize on. Force Obama to respond. That then becomes the story. Trump does not think that far ahead because he can't ever stay on message.
  10. Gotta get off my chest: Just heard from my Dad that my Mom's 93 year-old mother passed earlier today. She was in a nursing home for the past 12 years or so, with the last 5+ years of that in a state of almost complete mental and physical incapacitation. I'm of course sad for my Mom, but relieved more than anything that it's finally over. My Mom, her siblings, and my Dad have been driving up to the nursing home constantly and dealing with god knows how many medical emergencies for over a decade. I have to imagine there were at least 2 dozen times over the past decade they were thinking she was not gonna make it. My parents are in their 70's now, been retired for a long time, and I know they expected to be able to sell their house and move away a long time before now.
  11. This is a dress rehearsal. Congress won't be meeting as much or doing as much in the coming years. Because they are irrelevant. We are governed, totally and completely, by a single despot. He doesn't need Congress, or legislation. They might as well pack up their tents and go home. I'm sure they'll still come to DC, to grandstand for cameras and such, but their role as one of the three co-equal branches of government is just about done. We have an absolute monarch now. Who is completely fucking malevolent and insane.
  12. Which is another reason why the idea that post season play with a multi-team playoff system is flawed when you are using rankings and unbalanced conference schedules. How in the world do you accurately rank that team going into a season and those early season rankings can dramatically impact the end of year rankings.
  13. I guess your plate is completely full reading TikTok comments about submarine explosions.
  14. Okogie spent parts of the last three seasons playing with Durant in Phoenix. Likely had something to do with the signing. He's a legit NBA rotational SG. Should be noted that he was (1.4/4.0 35%) from BTA when playing on the same team with Durant, which marked his career best streak from the perimeter.
  15. Looking for Torbush rep emoji.
  16. The lobster rolls at McLoons lobster shack are supposed to be among the best in maine. We’ll likely have those for lunch tomorrow. I’m interested to see how they measure up to red’s.
  17. maybe seattle will one day be in the 20th century of medical care and have mri's
  18. I don’t think he’s thinking that far ahead. He’s panicking, and hopefully it’s kept to just this stupid bullshit that makes no sense, rather than say starting a war or unloading some nukes.
  19. Playing 1B tonight.
  20. if you think the Lindberg baby kidnapping, Judge Crater’s and Jimmy Hoffa’s disappearances - and the Rockefeller kid vanishing in the jungles of New Guinea - are not related to President Obama stealing the Time Machine built to go back in time to catch the 2020 election steal mules red handed - then you are probably a part of the Deep State.
  21. Wow, Congress just shut down until September to avoid voting on the record on releasing the Epstein files. Totally nothing there though, let's get on to the important business like making the commanders redskins again
  22. When Trump says stupid things, they're not stupid. They're genius. You live in upside-down world, man. How have you not grasped that yet?
  23. I love the Udvar-Hazey Center. We try to go there every couple of years, as we are pretty close to it. Also, sucks we won't get to see the shuttle there anymore. I know, fuck Ohio and all, but if you ever happen to be in Dayton, check out the National Museum of the Air Force. I spent four hours there one day playing hooky from work and I felt I just scratched the surface of all the shit in there. So many of aircraft there that are they last of their kind in the world, not to mention some other famous aircraft, including Bockscar and Memphis Belle. Great place.
  24. I was checking out some rosters for the upcoming season and I came across Arizona State's two-deep on OurLads. If you needed any further proof of what college football's become, after NIL and the Transfer Portal have taken hold, look at A-State's projected starting 22. Nineteen of the 22 are transfers, NINETEEN. Jesus H. Christ.
  25. The real question is why would CBS not pull the plug sooner while they were losing more money than the WNBA annually? Steve sure didn't take a pay cut
