  1. Past hour
  2. I would have said last week, Get some Gloves and you can borrow my man card. Today I say this- I heard a term from a prim and proper lady a couple of years back that I had never heard before, "Bat in the Chimney." But in her case, she was referring to a booger that was hanging and blowing back and forth in the nostril. I thought is was pretty funny. Any of ya'll heard that before? I think of it every time that little booger is a problem...
  3. And 6-7 is fairly self-explanatory if you've ever spent 10 minutes around any teen for the last 6 months.
  4. He is probably feeling overwhelmed, which often leads to indecision and anxiety, which piles up more stuff to do and leads to a vicious cycle. My approach when there is too much to do at work is to choose a couple of things to do and tell all other project heads to take a hike. Arch should tell coaches that he will only practice a couple of pass plays until he feels comfortable and coaches see the improvement. He is trying to process the whole playbook and is unable to act on even simple stuff.
  5. Gonna have to send that to some folks I know and ask them why Epstein was arrested and died under Trump's DOJ if he wasn't trafficking anybody.
  6. Just very sad all around. So senseless.
  7. Ryder Cup 2025: Europe’s new trick? Team practicing with VR headsets to mimic expected abuse Rory McIlroy told reporters Sunday at the BMW PGA Championship that members of the European Ryder Cup team have been wearing virtual reality headsets with programmed crowd abuse to simulate the potential reception they'll receive at next week at Bethpage. Eleven of the 12 European team members were at the BMW PGA, the DP World Tour's flagship tournament at Wentworth in England. That number does not include vice captain Alex Noren—who won the tournament—and captain Luke Donald, who missed the cut. Noren topped France’s Adrien Saddier with a birdie on the first playoff hole. The 45th Ryder Cup will be held at Bethpage Black in Farmington, N.Y., from Sept. 26-28. Europe was triumphant in the previous edition in 2023 in Rome, although the team has not won in the U.S. since Medinah in 2012. Donald hosted a team dinner on Tuesday at Wentworth—the headquarters of the DP World Tour, which runs the European side of the Ryder Cup—attended by players, staff, caddies, wives and girlfriends. McIlroy revealed it was there that the 11 players were given the VR headsets. “They said ‘how far do you want this to go?’” McIlroy told reporters at Wentworth on Sunday, after a closing eagle gave him a 65 for a T-20 at 12 under par. “And I said ‘go as far as you want.’ It is just to simulate the sights and sounds and noise. That’s the stuff that we are going to have to deal with. So it’s better to try to desensitize yourself as much as possible before you get in there. You can get them to say whatever you want them to say. So you can go as close to the bone as you like.” Asked for specifics on the content, McIlroy told the Guardian: “You don’t want to know. Not for publication.” Donald made his debut as captain at Marco Simone in Rome. The former World No. 1, who won five PGA Tour titles and six on the European circuit, was praised for his attention to detail as a Ryder Cup skipper. It seems the 47-year-old will continue the scrupulousness onto Long Island for the biennial event in two weeks. “We are doing everything we can to best prepare ourselves for what it is going to feel like on Friday week,” McIlroy said. “But nothing can really prepare you until you’re actually in that. You can wear all the VR headsets you want and do all the different things we’ve been trying to do to get ourselves ready but once the first tee comes on Friday it’s real and we just have to deal with whatever’s given.” The European squad left England Sunday for New York, where it was planned to play a nine-hole practice round on Monday and 18 holes on Tuesday at the course that hosted the 2019 PGA Championship, as well as the 2002 and 2009 U.S. Opens.
  8. The thing that frustrates me the most about Sark is he seems to think his offense is akin to the early 90 Cowboys. Where the defense can know what’s coming but they still can’t stop it. I think he calls plays in the sense where, if y’all execute properly the play will be successful. Which is likely why he called all those zone running plays against UTEP. Trying to force the OL to be able to execute, yet the result was us watching them fall all over themselves. I can’t honestly believe they are executing these plays in practice but maybe they are. But at this point I think there is plenty of game tape and over the next 2 weeks, a few positions should be open for competition. I know Sark treats these games as glorified scrimmages, but he really needs to call a friendly game for what the offense is capable of against Sam Houston so they can have something positive to build on going into SEC play.
  9. Part of the text exchange with the roommate: Robinson, who allegedly said he had planned the shooting for "a bit over a week," appeared worried he wouldn't be able to retrieve the rifle, which was a gift from his family. "I'm worried what my old man would do if I didn't bring back grandpas rifle," he allegedly wrote. "I worry about prints I had to leave it in a bush where I changed outfits." "How the f--- will I explain losing it to my old man," he allegedly continued. Totally cooked.

  11. https://fred.stlouisfed.org/series/CUUR0000SEHA August 2015: 287.086 August 2025: 436.981 Increase: 52.2%. for comparison's sake, cpi is up 35.8% in the same time, u.s. wages for all private is up 44.8%, owners' equity in real estate is up 165.5%.
  12. Of what you said “…articulate…relative and compared to young college students…” is the only accurate part. But yes that part is kind of what I said. Search his encounters with true debaters to see the difference
  13. I posted it yesterday. My daughter is a sophomore at Ole Miss and one of very few liberals enrolled there, I'm sure. One of her friends posted the story in their group chat and told everybody to be safe. The friend said a black guy "hung himself" from a tree at Delta State and that word was it was an execution (lynching -- my word). Told everybody to stay safe and aware. (I asked if the friend subscribes to our politics and she isn't 100% sure but thinks she's at least moderate if not liberal.) Another friend here in Dallas has posited on social media that three of the hanged kid's limbs were broken. Of course local authorities are specifically saying that none of his limbs were broken and there were no signs of foul play. Sure, Jan. First off, people who commit suicide don't usually do it that publicly and I'm fairly certain black Americans ain't involving no goddamn tree after the history this country has with slavery and lynchings in the South.
  14. He had some pretty solid punt returns on Saturday. Glad to see some progress on special teams.
  15. This is 100% mental. If he was this bad in practice it would be known publicly and I doubt the team would have the guts to even show up for the games. Because of the ridiculous expectations he’s trying to be perfect and overthinking.
  16. I’m hoping and praying that with a release of a ton of evidence today people will calm down a bit more. Information and having it is better than darkness. Not having it breeds a lot of fear and confusion and anxiety and misinformation which brings even more hatred. Fear leads to hate. And with the transparency they were able to show today in laying out the case the crux of it will be his texts to the roommate. They are beyond damning. And the roommate can testify to them. The shooter said how he did the crime and tried to disguise himself, what he used, where he put the weapon, how long he’d been planning it, that the old man was just a random arrest, said once he disposed of the weapon he’d have left no trace but the best part was the two obstruction charges where he tells the roommate to delete all their correspondence and why. A treasure trove that we don’t normally get, the shooter gave up a lot of evidence, and the gun being an heirloom in the family 🤦🏼‍♀️ and his parents identification and his confession to them…damn. Nailed. People will calm down a bit. We can’t help r fix the ones who are determined to make this worse. He was caught. Quickly. Turned in. Is still alive. Left a massive electronic trail. And also out a bullseye on his discord group. And if they have involvement FAFO.

  18. Idk. Was sort of hoping the Dems could have put up a figr
  19. Yes. They have been so free with them that the next time someone gets turned down will absolutely be the first.
  20. Explain to me again why I should be paying taxes?
