Saw Steph Curry said they should be paid more too, which is funny because nominally of course they make a ton of money.

Quick aside, my wife and I are in our early 40's and she received this issue, addressed directly to her. I've been making fun of her ever since. Seriously though, how does AARP decide who they mail the magazine to? We certainly didn't sign up for it.

Texas Recruiting Notes 2026: Boulevard of Broken Bagmen

During COVID my buddies and I started getting together remotely to watch movies and talk about whatever. We had a zoom room open and would all rent a movie individually on Prime and watch it simultaneously. First movie, Heavy Metal. What a great fucking movie. And soundtrack. “you must be dreaming, to think I love you!!!” No way my parents knew I was watching that, but thankfully my friend in Lakeway had cable w HBO so it was definitely on the menu. Shit, we rearranged entire weekends to accommodate viewings of HM. -
I'm not sure that LIV merging with PGA would have changed the story line all that much. The Maxi league had to be over the top absurd for the story line to work in Happy Madison style.

Texas Football 2025 Fall Camp - Kicking the Sonofabitch In

Looking through some draft lists for 2026 and beginning to realize that there isn't a lot of slam-dunk first-round skill position talent in the SEC this year. Even with overall QB play looking better than last year across the league, this might be a year where defense is king. Most of the guys being mocked in the first round (non-QBs) are dudes like Ant Hill (LB), Kadyn Proctor (OT), Keldric Faulk (DT), Jermod McCoy (CB), LT Overton (DT), CJ Allen (LB), Jake Slaughter (OL), etc. I found that interesting because I think there are some who are nervous with some of our inexperience and/or unknowns at the skill positions, but it appears it might just be a theme in the league overall. -
The best part was HG playing that round on that muni course and getting hammered. The rest was forgettable

Couldn't help myself. It is sexy.

PET scans are fucking cool. Well, unless they find shit of course. Dr. mentioned my skull is unusually thick which explains surviving blunt force trauma events throughout my life. Started 5th cycle today. They got the peripheral IV on the first try for the first time since this started. Drink a fuck ton of water before you go in. Makes the veins a lot easier to find and cath.

I don't recall if it was addressed in any earlier episodes, but I thought she grew up with the Berzattos similar to Claire, either as a neighborhood kid or close friend of another family member. In the wedding episode she appeared to be close the Sarah Paulson's character. I didn't think that she met Richie and then the family but the other way around. I could be wrong, like I said I often miss small dialogue meant to fill in gaps. I sort of agree that it's not a usual relationship, but defining family by extension is kind of a theme throughout the series.

I think it's more cause it started out in Houston? But I get the sentiment though.

Dem Strategeries For Mass Cult Reprogramming
wildcat09 replied to Al Bundy's Napoleon Hand's topic in Cloak Room
That gets into a bunch of self-identification stuff, but for these purposes if you've vehemently against Trump and the modern GOP, I don't really consider that in "the middle." In terms of political strategy, Dems don't need to worry about trying to win your vote any more than they need to worry about trying to win mine. -

Somewhere between 5-7 and 8-4 seems reasonable. Worst possible outcome is 3-9 and best possible outcome is 9-3. -
Dem Strategeries For Mass Cult Reprogramming

I actually think big D should court and go after harder the 1, 2 and 3rd generation Asian, South Asian, and Middle East demographics which are fast growing, family-oriented, highly educated, high earning, and still for some reason will vote for someone like Trump. Just a hunch but I think if yo could activate these demographics, you wouldn’t need the hard to win middle/moderates/independents. Winning them is probably a ticket that upsets the most ardent on the left because I think the really socially progressive angles would be left on the cutting room floor, but I mean… I was just in California on vacation and every one of my Lyft drivers was one of the above and most were “well I don’t like him on everything but he’s doing some things really well”. (Even the immigrant from Mexico!). Granted this was SoCal and not Bay Area where I understand there is more red to be found. -
You got what you got; you can cut a layer off that top section but maybe you like that bread meat ratio.

Shipley swallowed by private equity. RIP Shipley

I remember a few years back Grant Brisbee tweeted that he was going to Houston for the first time and asked for places to eat. Quite a few people mentioned Shipley's and I was like, "We have a fucking Shipley's in San Marcos, and these clowns are suggesting it's where you should eat in Houston?" -
It's a dick pump.

Hate to say it, but the MPAA may have been right when it initially rated Poltergeist R. Not sure how Spielberg got it dropped to PG. -

PG 13 wasn't a thing until the mid 80s. Jaws and Poltergeist are both PG movies. -

Get out of my head! All of these. I watched Poltergeist at a friend’s house whose parents were mostly absent. I had nightmares every night for like a month straight and my parents were furious. Also watched “Heavy Metal” because it was animated and on cable and so my parents just assumed it was fine for a 6-7 year old. Whoops. -

There was a stretch there where our offense used to totally shut down for the entire 2H. Vanderbilt, Kentucky, A&M, and I think Arkansas. I think they also went on a long scoreless drought against ASU in the playoffs. Texas offense - 2H points Vandy 6 Kentucky 7 Arkansas 10 Texas A&M 0 ASU 7 -

I didn't know the guy who founded Pancho was a UT grad. Badass. I'm not much of an outdoorsman, but I have their burnt orange pearl snap and that thing is great.
