Senator Warnock reintroduced the John Lewis Voting Rights Act. What’s most amazing about this is that it wasn’t that long ago that voting rights bills were approved almost unanimously. WTH happened to us? https://www.11alive.com/article/news/politics/sen-raphael-warnock-reintroduces-john-lewis-voting-rights-advancement-act/85-52089c4f-9226-47c6-8d7b-74518ba01d90 Sen. Raphael Warnock of Georgia unveiled the measure, titled the John R. Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act, with the backing of Democratic leaders. The bill stands little chance of passage in the Republican-led Congress, but it provides the clearest articulation of Democrats' agenda on voting rights and election reform. The legislation would reestablish and expand the requirement that states and localities with a history of discrimination get federal approval before changing their voting laws. It would also require states to allow same-day voter registration, prevent voters from being purged from voter rolls if they miss elections and allow people who may have been disenfranchised at the ballot box to seek a legal remedy in the courts. “Democracy is the very house in which we live. It is the framework in which we get to fight for the things that we care about,” Warnock said. “These last seven months have reminded us that we ought not take any of it for granted. We are literally in a fight for the life of the republic.” Warnock was joined by Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer of New York and Sen. Dick Durbin, the top Democrat on the Judiciary Committee, as well as Sens. Richard Blumenthal of Connecticut, Cory Booker of New Jersey and Alex Padilla of California. The senators were flanked by dozens of activists, including voting rights advocates, environmental campaigners, faith leaders and union organizers. The reintroduction comes at a precarious moment for the Voting Rights Act. The enforcement mechanisms of the law have been removed or hampered by two decades of court rulings and lapsed congressional reauthorizations. And an unusual push by Republicans in several states to redistrict congressional maps five years ahead of schedule has also raised questions about the effectiveness of the law in protecting voters

Well this sucks.

Texas plays them their fifth game. They go @LSU, @Miami, BYE before Texas heads to The Swamp. That’s such a gift of a bye week given his injury risk.
-
Looks like most of the good closers have already been moved.

Anyone rebuilt or had rebuilt a SeaStar Hydraulic helm pump? I have the HH5371-1 1.7 cu/rev pump and it’s sucking air and leaking oil pretty bad. Its had a small leak for a year or so but it really let loose last weekend and has about 1/3 of a rev backlash. I found a place in Ca called Seatech Marine Products that will do a rebuild for $200 using your old pump. Anyone ever used them or had one rebuilt here in Tx?

CJ and Nahlin both said he was a full participant in practice. It'll come together when the pads are on, but remember he went down in practice 1 last season. They wouldn't have him out there if he wasn't physically ready to start camp. -
If need be, Ice's 10,000 new agents will mitigate that effort. We've been fully fucked since last November.

Gerry’s been the leading voice across even the national $9.95ers on Sharma as potential college gamechanger at DT. Even he is surprised by how that guy looks. He wasn’t penciled in to be in the 3 deep rotation but he may force his way in. -

To the point to where Gerry said yesterday that the D-Line is now the strength of the team. Pretty crazy considering that our DT room consisted of January and Hills not that long ago. -

The old phrase "there's nothing more expensive than a cheap lawyer" works for property managers too.

Mullins to Mets thank god. Did.not.want.

He's not prominent in the GOP, so I believe he might actually follow Christ's teachings.

Reading all the $9.95'ers....... I can only get so erect. It's a long time until our first game. It sounds like the $9.95'ers who were worried about replacing what lost at DT or safety are feeling confident in both. It also sounds like they don't feel the same way about the O-line that they do about some of the defensive replacements. I guess we shall see as camp progresses and I expect we will get some identification as to who looks like the starters with our offensive line moving forward. -
Fine, have it your way. Bada bop baw baw.

Please continue this. It helps knock down the swirl. Your experience here can help fill the voids left in practice reports and temper expectations of surprises. What in your knowledge is the impact during the first contact drill gonna be like?. Is he gonna feel it? Is the brace a perm fixture or are there other smaller more agile braces to give support? In your experience I know everyone’s diff but mentally how much does that hold someone back in this situation with being risk averse or timid that could cause injury by the very nature of being too careful and unnatural -
Take this dude, shoot me on Venmo. I need to go to the store.
-
While I agree, Venables didn't have that option unless he was ready to take a pretty big step back and become a coordinator again or move to a way, way lower HC gig. I'm guessing you agree but it's an important aspect of why he chose not to do exactly as you suggest.
-
I'm not mad at it. But we have several more holes

I’m 40 and I still wonder how much damage the Wild West of the internet did to my brain. Faces of death pain olympics serbian hammer (maybe Russian hammer) that horse lady heck even 2 girls 1 cup I watched hours of surgeries and trauma videos, mostly to just see what docs and medics see. Couldn’t have been good.
