  1. Past hour
  2. Lashlee can have SMU in position to compete each year in the ACC simply because of outside of Miami and possibly Florida State who exactly is making a case for being the third best team in the ACC? Maybe GTech, but I am not sure if any human can truly play a full season at quarterback in that offense and not end up beat to shit. Clemson? Dabo is way too young to be being too stubborn to change like Gundy and Patterson you would think, but maybe he is willing to ride that program into the ground. VTech? UNC? UVA? The one thing Arkansas does offer is a place in one of the two big conferences, but is it worth it if they are going to split a big portion of the revenue off to support basketball and baseball compared to the other SEC schools?
  3. goddamn we are so regarded
  4. I'd prefer a BORT type rail line.
  5. Who reached out to her?
  6. Does this one make @Wilcox Cummingtonitehorny for civil war too or what?
  7. Lol I've never heard of the pin/pen thing. Interesting.
  8. Yeah I don't know why NC isn't being mentioned at all. That state is Southern as fuck in places
  9. Tha fuck you talking about? My profile picture is of Bigfoot.
  10. So, Australians. Got it.
  11. As if I didn't have enough to watch during thanksgiving break
  12. If you ever feel like just another face in the crowd, at least know that you are the only human being to ever exist that holds this particular belief. You aren’t a nobody.
  13. The mole inside Task swapped the phones
  14. Austin must have changed a great deal then because I don't recall having to put up with average at best Tex Mex just for scenery.
  15. The ubiquitous gambling stuff is even worse than the politicization of everything. Have you forgotten? Sports have always been a front in the culture war. Jesse Owens, Jackie Robinson, and Muhammad Ali were and still are meaningful largely due to politics of the day. I’m sure 1930s Nazis, 1940s American racists, and 1960s American racists disliked the incursion of politics into their sports. So part of this complaint is just the unpleasantness of the current political climate and the unsavory views being expressed. It’s a fair complaint, but it isn’t really new in this respect. It’s not like there’s some enlightened political past we can look back to. We’ve always been pretty terrible. It does feel constant in new way though. There’s a constant need for attention that’s the way of our culture now and politics is at the forefront of this. That constant churn for your attention is exhausting. Part of that is the culture and part is how the current guy manipulates the system and plays the culture. His mere presence is political in a way that seems new to me. If he shows up somewhere, it’s a political act that demands some moronic opinion. You could argue that any presidential action is by definition political, but there used to be some level of compartmentalization between politics and civics. Now everything is a signifier of political identity — sports, music, TV and movies, books, church/faith, clothes, cars, education, language, etc. It’s exhaustingly all encompassing. This came upon slowly but all at once. I suspect the way out will move in the same way. It’s hard to see much of a way out right now though. We just do these moronic things because that’s what we do!
  16. Where is all the Project Connect money going? I live in RR, but seem to remember a decent tax increase was coming for Austinites. Never get a straight answer though. Is it being set aside for adding the new lines or is it getting mixed in with current cap metro operational costs.
  17. I "dated" two wayward LDS women back in the day. The first one was kicked out of BYU and found herself working as a waitress in Austin. The second one was a early twenties divorcee who moved to Austin from Idaho via Houston. Both were very fun, it was like partying with hot religious crazy chicks on Rumspringa. I guess the key is dating them down here.
  18. That’s only partially true. There are weirdos out there promoting the absurd notion that the Earth is only 6,000 years old, using their own fucked up interpretations of the geological record.
  19. First thing I thought of when I saw the thread title
  20. Hopefully Pitman is up for some high living in Austin after being stuck in Arkansas
  21. Even before back up cameras, it was easier to back in park. You can see the lines on both sides with your side mirrors when you back in, can't see them at all when you pull in.
  22. SOS indeed.
  23. I’ll let Boulder know first thing in the morning!
