Transfer Cycle 2025-2026 - This Is Fine

Honestly, I like the autocorrect version better. -
Lol chill man. RB was our top target coming into the offseason and still is. Us not ponying up 1 million for Wisner shows our confidence in finding an RB1 in the portal.

Also will be nice for Arch to game in-game reps with the WRs sticking around (bye Moore)

Merry late Christmas to all my surly family! A lot of us have been thru a lot of years together thru good times, bad times and trying times. I spent a lot of time on here through some pretty bad times of self pity drowned in alcohol here and it’s always been an escape for me, a way of feeling connected somehow when I didn’t in real life. This year has been my best in a long time by far. Last January I made a decision to cut the alcohol down to a couple times a month if that and to totally change my diet, exercise and mindset. Since then my career has taken an amazing turn for the better, I feel great, I look great lol, amazing how that works. I’d like to thank all my random internet friends for being a huge support system for me over the years without even knowing it. Merry Christmas Surly!

San Antonio Spurs 2025-26 - Release the Kraken
Horn of Gabriel replied to Mitch Cumsteen's topic in Basketball
Spurs youth, athleticism, and length really bothers OKC. We can leave Wemby to anchor the middle or help side D and press out to the 3-pt line and more aggressively hedge switches than they're used to seeing. They have talent and will adjust, SGA did score but seemed weirdly passive sometimes. Next time we meet I'd expect them to more aggressively drive off the PNR and throw themselves into Wemby to get fouls. It was also delightful to see them brick 3 after 3 but if half of those fall at the normal rate it's a much tighter game. Agree we are a year ahead of schedule. I'm not a huge Fox fan but he was nails yesterday. Also props to everyone for cutting and making the pass. I think my favorite was Champanie making a cut for a dunk past SGA who got caught ball watching. Reminded me of the beautiful game a little bit. -
Don’t be a pussy rubber. (to Greenspoint)

I don’t think lamenting the current state of college football and acknowledging that we are uniquely positioned to benefit from it have to be mutually exclusive thoughts. We will absolutely be fine. I just, selfishly, don’t love that some of the magic that I associate with the sport is gone. But you are correct, come next year I will still root like hell for guys like Jesus Terry and Maraad Watson, who under previous circumstances would never ever have worn the burnt orange. -
I’ve heard several “Texas fans” in the last week talk about the bad year Arch had and that they wish Ewers were still here. I immediately knew those were casual fans who read more about the team on Facebook than actually watch the games. Yes, Arch started the year slowly. He was pretty damned good by mid-season. Maybe tune in and watch the games.

Nvm, apparently the two you’d want (C Slaughter and LT Barber) are RS SRs headed to the league.

I cant remember a bowl game between two blue bloods where both programs were limping in this badly we had better not lose to this shell of a team

The RB group finally getting upgraded is the biggest development in Sarks time here. After Brooks went down in 2023 the back ups fumbled twice in the semi vs Washington and last year we ran a sweep with below average speed against tOSU on the goal line, ultimately costing us that game. With a game breaker in those years Texas likely wins a championship or two the last couple of years.

This was his first year on campus. No idea what you are talking about with the redshirting twice. https://texaslonghorns.com/sports/football/roster/james-simon/14457 just because you are on Surly, doesnt mean you need to be a surly prick.
