  2. I have no doubt Arch looks good in practice. This is some mental shit. Most of his bad throws seem to be a factor of him not trusting his reads and hesitating. Then he's a step behind and rushes the throw with shit mechanics. He moves well in the pocket and is getting time to make plays. Just has to trust his read and let it fly on the correct timing.
  3. If we go, we are taking our money with us. I can let it sit in a bank making 4% and live a comfortable life in most places forever.

  7. So I met this elderly couple. Married for 41 years and they've lived in the Los Angeles area for 50 years now. Because of this clown show that is ICE, these two people, who are retired, should just get to be enjoying their lives without worrying about ICE picking them up. The wife says they now both carry their passport with them everywhere they go in case they do get detained. This is where we are at. Elderly Hispanics who contributed good things to society (He was a welder for the last 20 working years of his life, and she just retired from WIC after 36 years.) and yet now everyday they realize they could be picked up off the street just because of how they look. For those of you that kept friends who are in the cult give them a thank you for doing this to people like the ones I met. That story got to me, and I won't forget them.
  8. Whatever you guys do and wherever you end up, just remember Stay safe my friends.

  12. and those dextrose tablets. dont forget those
  13. Even more right wingers/MAGA chuds that don't believe the official story. The Michael Savage section is particularly hilarious. Especially when he goes in on Sean Hannity.

  15. Why limit yourself to one building when you can design a whole city?
  16. The classroom library approval thing is at least a year old. I know all of our English teachers had to scan every book in their classroom library, the ISBN info, not the entire book obviously. Any books not on approved lists set by the district were removed. It also applied to Science and History as well. Anyone that had any books available for students to use had to put them in the database or remove them
  17. https://www.mta.info/ Yes, train is going to be the best way. Not sure where you are staying, but if you are close to Grand Central, that might be your easiest way out. You can take the 7 to one of the LIRR stations and then get an earlier train than departing the LIRR from Manhattan (based on what I saw, trains start at 6 AM). Download Citymapper. That is the best app once you are here.
  18. Munting? Back in my day, we just called it Tuesday night.
  19. Keens is now owned by Tilman Fertitta. I have not been since he bought it. I have heard good things about La Tete d'Or, which is Daniel Boulud's steakhouse. Hawksmoor, a London import, is very good. Their Sunday roast is outstanding. 4 Charles Prime Rib has been on my list. It is almost impossible to get a table. That being said, the same folks took over Monkey Bar, so that is also a possibility. Delmonico's is on my list since they reopened. The Grill, Gallaghers, Gage & Tollner, and St. Anselm are all good possibilities as well.
  20. Welp, Surly brothers and sisters, this is one of those mile marker and signpost passings, makes me think of mortality, of aging. I, for one, am growing tired of being reminded. Grampaw Lllama made it to 89, which seemed ancient to me then. Redford did things with style and flair and confidence, elevating every project he touched. As someone posted above, if you see that a Redford film is on, you’ll probably watch it and enjoy the fuck out of it. If only our teams’ corches could coach as well as that dude could act!
  21. Not just here. I met a couple from Ukraine a few days ago that were relocated to the San Francisco area. This is more a worldwide thing. Seeing people displaced by war and knowing what they are going through, among other things, made that movie too hard to watch. Again, it doesn't mean it's not good. I just couldn't stay to see all of it. Sometimes a movie just triggers something inside to where I just leave. This was one of those. Not the first time it's happened on a movie over the years.
