  1. Past hour
  2. Hardly had to deal with the guy at all, actually. I've told this story before, probably, but the couple of times he attended class he just drew his legs up on the seat and turtled both his head and legs into his t-shirt and went to sleep. That damn t-shirt had to have been as big as a hot-air balloon, so that kinda narrows who it could have been. Still can't believe a guy that big could even fit into an auditorium seat like that, but he was indeed athletic. Nah. I get the whole Westlake thing. In some ways it's easier to be a fool for your local high-school team than for a place like UT that may be more closely tied to your livelihood. I make sure to ask my daughter two or three times a season if I'm cheering too loudly for her to be able to return home. Lots of ways to be a diehard, but some may just a little more restrained than others -- like I had to learn the first time I embarrassed the hell out of myself by yelling in the press box.
  3. https://sports.yahoo.com/article/washington-mystics-trade-brittney-sykes-194604210.html The Seattle Storm have acquired 2025 WNBA All-Star guard Brittney Sykes in a trade with the Washington Mystics. In exchange for Sykes, the Mystics receive veteran forward Alysha Clark, the Storm’s 2026 first-round pick, and third-year player Zia Cooke. Washington is waiving third-year forward Sika Koné to complete the transaction and waiving Cooke in a corresponding move. Mystics giving up on the season and going all in with the young guns they have in Citron and Iriafin. They had a really nice run and were the surprise of the league. Meanwhile, the contenders are loading up! MIN getting Dijonai the other day and now SEA getting another all-star to go with the 3 they already have in Diggins, Ogwumike, and Gabby Williams. Add in Magbedor and the rookie Malonga and they are looking pretty stacked. I feel badly for Alysha Clark who went back to SEA as a FA. She won a title there back in 2018. She's the oldest player in the league at 38. I know she didnt want to be on a team that wasnt competing in what could be her last yr. MIN and SEA actually play tonight too.
  4. Then the system is ultimately fucked. I’m sorry, it’s farcical to allow a presidential candidate to run the clock out and never go to trial and then grab immunity. Justice delayed is justice denied works both ways.
  5. He routinely made this throw his sophomore year
  6. Conner, Majors, Bond, Blue, Williams, Moore, Campbell were all no better than Quinn Ewers last year. That's a reasonable opinion. But it isn't fact any more than your opinion is fact. Calling it one makes you look like a moron or child.
  7. Well yeah, but it's a lot different in terms of likely homesickness than being some kid who's never left his hometown.
  8. I am shocked Helo doesn't know the greatness of Detroiters. Put Veep on the list if it isn't already.
  9. We lost gutwrenchingly the same day as the App State game. Kind of killed the mood for me, even if it was the rare "good loss" that presaged our rise back to prominence. I was in Asheville that day, so the locals being fucking amped was pretty cool.
  10. Congrats to Richmond Lamar. First team to join the US bracket in Williamsport.
  11. Whatever you say, Trevor O.
  12. Everything's fine, long as we win state
  13. Just doing him a solid, so he can go out tonight knowing he won’t pitch tomorrow.
  14. Triple with cheese every Tuesday is his pre-game meal
  15. Ok, now we gotta score for sure
  16. Joc and his piano made it to second
  17. Fat ass should have had a triple.
