  2. Lol at Trump’s unpredictability being part of some grand strategy. Trump is unpredictable because he’s senile, has the attention span of a goldfish, and doesn’t know himself what he’s going to do from one minute to the next (except drain the treasury into his and his family’s pockets).
  3. narrator: it was not worth it.
  4. I don't know. Ricky wasn't the top ranked back in California his senior year in high school and many had him as a fullback. And how do you feel about this list? 5. My daughter and I went to see it tonight. We both enjoyed it. It’s a fairly short movie at just over an hour and I thought that was the perfect length for it. I’m always down for a good dog movie and my daughter likes horror movies so for once we both agreed. I thought the dog was really good in it and I only went to see it because I knew he didn’t die in the movie
  6. He rang that dude up. Pretty sure I heard the birds tweeting around the drunk guy’s head.
  7. scramblyn

    Getting old sucks

Bracelet seems apropos there nmn, god speed.
  8. Exactly. Mack drove that program into the ground, too. Ran the wheels off it and then kept going until the brake rotors gouged the pavement and shattered. Belichek was handed a smoldering pile. Now Mack is back in Austin and our program has cratered again. Let’s buy him a house in Norman or College Station and kindly tell him to get the fuck out. Again.
  9. OL is very hard to evaluate. and how the fuck do you know the guys we have coming in are good? we thought all of the hot garbage on the OL right now was “good” while they were beating up on nerds in high school games.
  10. Weird discussion on WR weight. How much did Worthy weigh his freshman season?
  11. The problem is that our Secretary of State declared that Maduro was a "fugitive from American justice" whatever the fuck that's supposed to mean, so I don't think there are any deals to be cut - Maduro is lining up to be Trump's Noriega or Saddam Hussein or Ghaddafi or whatever example one wants to use. And Trump ordered Grenell to cease discussions in a phone call he made while he was in the middle of meeting with DOD leadership. I know, I know, he was trying to pretend he was tough in front of the generals and admirals, but still. We seem to be ignoring all of the other cartels that are a bit closer and have killed far more Americans than Venezuela's cartels. Kind of odd that Trump has zeroed in on them, and talked about regime change and declared they are unlawful combatants, and Rubio declared he was a fugitive from American justice, etc. I absolutely hope I'm wrong and that nothing happens, but somebody is 100% coaching him on the specific language to use, trying to shoehorn it into the stuff passed after 9/11, and that can't be a mistake.
  12. temu Patton 🤣
  13. She reminds me of a soulless Alicia Silverstone.
  14. Aside from beating OU by a million, what is your ultimate TX/OU weekend list of stuff to do outside of the game? For this weekend, we are leaving from Austin on Thursday around noon. We'll stop in West at the Czech Stop and get some kolaches/klobasknics and gorge on those on the drive up. From there we're bypassing Dallas and heading up to Choctaw casino to burn some money and steal some from the Okies. Friday morning we have a 8:30AM tee time for the couples on the trip, after that unwind back at the casino and get a decent steak dinner there. Saturday drive down early to enjoy the fair, beer in a wax cup and corn dog and see an OU beat down. We're old so after the game we don't have a ton planned - maybe hit a bar and watch whatever other games are on. Sunday sleep in and get brunch somewhere (recommendations?) before heading back down to Austin. What are your go-to's, aside from the obvious "beat OU by infinity," and "get a beer in a wax cup and corndog."
  15. Fat Tire Bike Tours are the best. I dunno how they find their guides but they always hit. My sister was in Paris also but in 2005 with McCombs PPA. My parents couldn't reach her for 12 hours and called the embassy to get someone to track her down. Luxembourg Gardens and the boats on the lake - felt like a scene out of Madeleine no? Brilliant idea about the AI scavenger hunt, we should've done that. Our 7 yr old got bored at the museums quicker than the others. Other than the pastries and crepes, what meal did your kids like best? I don't know that our kids had one specific meal they liked most but their must have item at every restaurant quickly became escargots.
  16. I don't think he was "garbage." He was a quality DC. He was pretty good at Cleveland. Pretty much every DC in the NFL ever considered good probably had a talented roster. And if he capitulated to Brady in New England it was clearly the right move.
  17. Sounds just like R/C planes from the 80s and 90s.
  18. Anybody thinking it’s just about the money is giving short shrift to Tech’s recruiting operation. I’m not sure how long they’ll be able to keep Blanchard, because that guy is cooking and will remain in high demand:

    Burgers

That's the one. I never had anything else from there b/c it was so good.
  20. AND you are in a 5+ story building & hit every floor button upon exit or it's a full glass one & you get to watch reactions for the people who got on after your departure.
  21. There’s an argument to be made that there are certain professions, teachers and nurses spring to mind, filled by folks who wish to serve, who want to make a difference, who are not paid what they are worth because money is not their motivation to do what they do. Those people who value others so much they put service before income. And society shits on them, by taking advantage of their desire to serve the greater good, in order to keep more money in the pockets of parasites, skinflints, and money hungry demon spawn. You will know this lesser of society when they identify themselves as “taxpayer.” Everyone pays tax. Luke 21:3

  23. Theoretically yes. The Chair is supposed to bang the gavel to bring order. But the Chair is not just not cooperative, they're basically aiding and abetting. I'd really love to hear from a psychologist or someone with a similar profession about the best way for a Senator to treat a witness who behaves like that. It seemed like Schiff did the best job but I'm wondering if they mocked her, how they might have gone. Try some other approaches, maybe. We see the sartorial senators trying to be dignified but confronted by a wild squealing hyena. Are they going to be polite or are they going to get a figurative rope around that hyena's throat and go to work.
