2-1 fouls didn’t help. Can’t think of any fouls called on Arsenal that I disagreed with, but there were 4 or 5 non calls that were bs, one took us out of what would have been a dangerous set piece and almost lead to a manu goal the other direction.

Fuck all this "Trump got played" nonsense. He's a Russian asset. He and Putin are in this together.

Awful. -
im guessing he has options, he'll be yo-yo'd
-
cross-posting this because Fiona Hill makes such a good point about putin giving trump something he can sell to his rubes but that's worthless on the int'l stage

Tuve has been swinging at a lot of pitches up around his eyes lately

you're assuming wrong, that's for tonight and tomorrow

Yep, especially since he had him in a crucifix in like 3 different rounds. How he didn't rain down elbows and strikes on him is beyond me. He throw a hundred little short baby punches to the corner of DDP's head, but he never seemed to try and put him away with actual aggression. Normally I'd have been bored of it, but I was actually entertained watching a defending champion just get absolutely manhandled and able to do nothing to stop it. 25 seconds each round and he was a ragdoll. It is a bit funny to hear DDP claim hell be back to get his belt back. But even if he improves significantly, what does that mean? He stuffs 3 takedowns and lasts an average of 50 seconds on his feet before spending the rest of the fight on his back next time? That would be a huge improvement.

Third Man director: Carol Reed Touch of Evil and Citizen Kane director: Orson Wells I recommend The Fallen Idol, one of the Carol Reed Holy Trinity that he did in three successive years (3rd Man, Odd Man Out, The Fallen Idol). A truly unique, odd, and terrifically entertaining flick.

ok maybe i'm delusional i could have sworn there was a review of the room a couple of weeks ago -
I'm being flippant, but it's because no one truly gives a shit. Those that did represented a small, financial minded portion of yesterday's GOP and the rank and file repeated it because they were told to. Dropping the sarcasm, you ask a sincere question, and I think it's at least partially because the rhetorical pivot needed to call out the hypocrites doesn't work. Probably the most obvious example is the Christian support for Trump, whose sins are too numerable to list. Rather than reconsider their support, they just double-down that the illogical must be because of God's plan. There was a Vox piece years ago in which an academic reported on a study that showed people don't really want the truth, in fact they resent it when it doesn't confirm pre-existing beliefs. I think we need to keep it simple. The #1 issue for Gen Z is economics, and I've read that housing affordability is the principal driver (although that could tie into jobs or inflation in general). It's also an issue that's got some gender specificity (it ranks particularly high amongst the male voters that the Dems have been shedding). It's a mid-term election--you don't have to fix it, you just need to be clear that the other team failed. I also think the party need to re-orient around the family as the center of public life. If you can't squeeze "this helps your family" into every single benefit message then it needs to be de-platformed. I think they've been afraid of this because the evangelicals have made "family values" antithetical to the Dems sense of inclusiveness, but they need to take it back and it's a good segue for a broader economic policy that's consistent with long-held Dem efforts. It's also helps defend some of those marginalized without making them poster children or exploiting their misery. If I'm forced to talk about trans rights I'm going to do it in the framework of parents like @troph that love their children and children that love their parents.

Did you just make all that up? -
No. Ford didn’t ask about corresponding moves and Dana didn’t offer

If only there was an alternative that these people could vote for!!!

The Third Man is outstanding. Touch of Evil is good too.

How many more years should we give her to get past the Sweet 16?

Hell, I don’t remember posting a first one. You’re going to have to remind me. -
Did Dana touch on the plan for Costanza? He’s pitching too well to send him down again.
