  2. IF you really do not want Big games then call the AD and have them very publicly start reneging agreements to play powerful teams in non-con. But as much as it stings we got deal a tougher schedule than most, and it was timed in a way that was markedly different from the majority of the SEC. We chose to do this sort of schedule because it is a pathway to the Championship series, but execution is key. And stubbing our toe at Florida was a really bad stub. Left us limping through Kentucky and Miss State, edging out OT wins vs those powerhouses. We played a fantastic second half versus A&M. And I do believe at this point in time we are as dangerous more than half the teams ranked above us. But fuck, we beat a shitty bad Florida team without playing like we shit, and this whole conversation is moot. The fact we were also grossly overhyped to start the season made the focus on our early season struggles even more noticeable. Will Texas be punished in the rankings for losing to Ohio State? Ultimately the answer is yes. So now the question for our AD is do you schedule great games to make buying season tickets amazing occasionally? Or do you go with a doormat lineup you still pay top dollar for, and have a better chance to make an expanded playoff? My vote is to still play the big OOC opponents. Because if you are honest, did it hurt Ohio State this season? We are a good team, not a great team this year. The loss to Florida was inexcusable, but so were OT victories vs Miss State and Kentucky! All of those games were games where we should have been giving second string players to gain experience in the second half. Instead we barely survived, after starting off the season with a #1 ranking in some polls. That is fucking embarrassing. We looked great against Ohio State and not so good for most of the season. In the end it is a style point and win/loss evaluation. It's NOT a looking at each team and saying who are the scariest teams to play in college football at this point in time? We win the games we should have, and we are in. So do you prefer watching Ohio State or Sam Houston State? Is the risk versus reward there or not? In the end it's a question our AD has to answer.
  3. I just wish for Jimbo to land at an Auburn or Ole Miss while aggy pays him to beat them.
  4. Texas needs to be 12 after this week. Ahead of Utah and Miami and Vandy. That’s a fair ranking and values strength of schedule and quality of wins and takes into account 3 losses. If Georgia batters bama and tech beats byu the committee could justifiably move us up to 10 and everyone would/should be fine with that. If that doesn’t happen then at least they can say OOC losses to really quality teams aren’t disproportionately harmful. if we are behind Utah fuck that shit- they’ve beaten nobody and what are we even doing.
  5. True. But urban has one thing Sark and Kiffin do NOT have as a HC: MNCs. Period. I am willing to overlook fuckery with a contingency plan in their contracts if they have actually won a MNC as a HC. I am not when they have not. That simple to me. Neither Kiffin nor Sark have an MNC as a HC and until they do they are just a good to great hire. And the off the field shit better not mess up the on field shit and cause losses.
  6. I wasn't getting snippy dude. I found it humorous that you "predicted" with such confidence that Bama would defeat Auburn. Auburn always finds a way to keep that game close then snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. Last night it was a refusal by Auburn players to hold on to the ball. Perhaps they are sponsored by a KY Jelly or Vaseline, dunno but it was definitely a very War Eagle type of problem.
  7. This would be the most pointless war in US history.

  9. When everyone can pay players the red stick isn’t such a great destination imo.
  10. We’re the same board that shit ourselves when Urban Meyer was a serious prospect several years ago. We only dislike assholes when they’re not on our side.
  11. Cade…
  12. A war against Venezuela is going to go even worse for him than the Epstein files. Everyone will have the exact same initial reaction. Why the fuck are we invading Venezuela?
  13. I actually fully agree withe RBG and Immamacs projection potential of Lane at Texas and think it's true for LSU. He could be getting the Tarmac treatment in year 2 or 3, or could go on to win 7 national championships. It's a high risk high reward choice and I really can't think of a better suited school than LSU save perhaps the hot mess that is Auburn.
  14. It’s a shit-hole. Absolute shit-hole. I’d live in Mandeville or Hammond & commute in.
  15. But we are Texas. we don’t do that. We have stubbornly refused to do that for decades. From systemic cheating to basket weaving degrees to scheduling tough OOC games.
  16. Hopefully he gets lsu beating aggy at something like a 75% clip. Otherwise I guess I don't really care.
  17. I can't disagree but my view is a variation on yours. I see him more like the philanering husband/wife who parties a bit too much and doesn't get along well with the in-laws. Yet, despite knowing all that some future husband/wife marries them with the "they've changed" mantra. Or... maybe I'm just projecting based on Texas' HC. I dunno.
  18. https://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/ncaaf/2025/11/13/cfp-selection-committee-members-college-football-playoff/87251133007/ Take a look at the committee and their resumes. Do we see ANY member(s) on here that based on their biography would be an advocate for our situation? I see ALOT of Big 12 connections along with Big 10. Remarkable is the lack of SEC representation. Which is surprising considering the way the rest of the college football world condemns the SEC for putting their thumbs on the scale.
  19. It’s a dumb move. You have just as good of a chance to win at Ole Miss and the pressure is much lower. Baron Rogue isn’t exactly an awesome place to live either.
  20. Reverse jinx. Almost worked. And really, there's no need to get snippy about a game between two teams in Alabama of all places.
  21. Swamp is a weird name for an LSU coed but I guess it *is* Louisiana
  22. I sincerely appreciate the education on the topic. Thanks.
