Jesus Fucking Christ. We held Ohio State, the undisupted #1 team, to 200 total yards and 2 scores (one of which was a miracle jump ball) in their house when our psychologically broken QB couldn't hit water from a boat. I'm going to have to ask you to leave.

Before his stint at Florida, I had always considered Napier to be a very good QB coach. Now I don't know what to think.

I think that it’s undeniably true that Americans commit more crimes than Finns or Danes, and the thesis “there’s more crime because of higher incarceration rates” strikes me as “high interest in trains causes autism” type reasoning. I think I can point to countries that have extremely low crime rates while having overly harsh—cruel even (Singapore)— penal systems that I wouldn’t want to model. So you’d need to look at them as well as the friendly Nords. America’s general lawlessness as compared to other developed societies has been remarked on for centuries, since before we were a country. There are likely some society-level interventions that might help that, but I am wholly unpersuaded that the focus should be incarceration rates and in a lot of ways addressing basic safety and security will be a prerequisite to success in other areas.

Has anyone built a watch from DIY Watch club? Seems like a neat idea.

"Is our period of abstinence over?" asks man currently raw-dogging a hooker.

Angels just named Kurt Suzuki as manager
-
Well, at least they got the name of the group right.

Yeah, mostly this. And y'all know my pretty unambiguous stance on Nazis (I think they are bad....which is apparently a controversial and un-American take these days, to hear the admin tell it).

Any assistants from PSU, Florida, etc that we'd want? I wouldn't mind bringing Stan Drayton back (ducks)

This is giving me flashbacks of Charlie Strong constantly saying “we just gotta go out there and execute.” Sark’s game management is that of a hairstylist who knows they’ve given you a terrible haircut but they keep chopping off more to try and fix it. Before you know it your head is shaved bald and you’re being told that’s the hottest look right now.

Strawmen wouldve been better at pass protection

Kicking at that under thrown ball like a dipshit too. He’s dropped way too many passes this season to think he’s too good to make an honest attempt at that and act like a bitch. It suggests that some of the balls he’s dropped that were behind him were due to a lack of effort. We have to expect him to portal if we stick with Arch, but perhaps it will be for the best in the locker room.

We are terrible at blocking as a team, not just OL, but the WRs and RBs and TEs too. That's why our screen passes, behind the line throws, or the end arounds never seem to work. Someone seems to be missing their blocking assignment on every play. There is no culture guy like Whittington on offense who sets the tone for others to follow. Culture carried us to the playoffs in the last two years, and I am afraid, the lack of it will keep us out this year.

Truly....imagine if this exact thing were happening under Obama. Fox news would have wall-to-wall coverage of "OBAMA DESTROYS THE PEOPLE'S HOUSE!" They might even pre-empt one of their reverse mortgate commercials to air extended coverage. It would be the only thing they talked about for months. Now? Not a fucking word.

even that bomb vs SHSU, that scrub was running right with him

Sark will never let go of the play calling unless an ultimatum comes from the big boys in Bellmont and the big cigars. He keeps saying that he was hired to be the OC as well as head coach. He will have to be forced to let that go.

it's almost as if you can't stop the foibles of human behavior on the supply side. Has it EVER worked? (don't look too hard, the answer is no). But dammit, we're gonna try again, and the right will keep voting for it because it means they get to blow things up, victim-blame folks for being actual human beings, and then go home at night at huff the paint fumes, or get drunk off our gourds, or high as a kite on Oxy while we blame "them damn Mexicans" for everything that's wrong in the world.
