A running veteran QB is going to make help any OL look better than they are. While the current guys may be talented and may be returning from your playoff run, most of them do not have extensive in game experience. If you look at their starting experience, it's basically what Texas is trotting out there, except 4 of our starting 5 have been in the same program 3-4 years. Yet you don't see us claiming "best ol evar". OSU also has a 6'0, 190 lb freshman QB that is functional in the pocket but by no means a running threat to keep alive against possibly the best front 7 in the country and the best group of pass rushers. You also just lost 2 of the most talented RBs in college football last year. I don't know if Peoples or the WVU Rb start over Wisner and Baxter here. Pray you are able to run the ball because if you cannot, this game is not going to be close.

I saw a few years back there was a Bobby Shantz day in Philly area and I wanted to try and see when the next one was going to be because i had thought about going up there to get his auto in my book of all Astros that I have 80+ signatures. Never materialized. Went to Philly this summer and looked it up and actually tried to send a message to someone associated with him to try and see if there was a way to get in person auto and never got reply. Getting the franchises 1st ever winner in my book would be pretty badass, but doesnt look like it will happen.

Shot up a bunch of Catholic school kids at their Wednesday mass. 2 dead. Add the Facebook thoughts and prayers to the thoughts and prayers they were doing as they were shot. https://www.nytimes.com/live/2025/08/27/us/minneapolis-church-shooting An assailant fired a rifle through the windows of a Catholic church in Minneapolis where students were celebrating their first Mass of the new school year on Wednesday, killing an 8-year-old and a 10-year-old in the pews and injuring 17 others, the police said. The attacker then died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound in the rear of the church, the Minneapolis police chief, Brian O’Hara, said at a news conference. Of the 17 people injured, 14 were children, the chief said. Two were in critical condition, he said. The shooting, at about 8:30 a.m. Central time, took place at the Annunciation Catholic Church, which has a school for children from prekindergarten through eighth grade. Monday was the first day of school, and the all-school Mass on Wednesday is an annual tradition. Investigators have identified the attacker as Robin Westman, 23, who is believed to have been a former student at the school, according to a law enforcement official with knowledge of the investigation. The suspect’s mother is a retired school employee, the official said. Ellie Mertens, 25, a youth minister at the church, said she was sitting with children in the pews when bullets started ripping through the windows. The shooting lasted for about 2 minutes, she said. “I was just feet away from this window where it was,” Ms. Mertens said in an interview. “The pew saved my life.” Chief O’Hara said that at least two doors of the church had been barricaded from the outside. The shooter, who was in his early 20s, also fired a shotgun and a pistol, he said. “Children are dead, there are families that have a deceased child; you cannot put into words the gravity, tragedy or absolute pain of the situation,” Mayor Jacob Frey of Minneapolis said at the news conference. Mr. Frey, a vocal advocate for stricter gun laws, added: “Don’t just say this is about thoughts and prayers right now. These kids were literally praying.” Here’s what else to know: Witness accounts: Inside the Hennepin County Medical Center emergency room, where multiple victims were taken, Za’khia Jones, 29, was with her fiancée when she saw children who appeared to be bloody being rushed in. “One kid came in and they had rushed her into a room and she was just screaming she didn’t want to die,” Ms. Jones said in an interview. Read more › Minnesota violence: The attack was the fourth deadly shooting in the city in just over 24 hours. And the Twin Cities area was rattled in June when a gunman assassinated a state lawmaker and her husband and left another lawmaker and his wife hospitalized with gunshot wounds, setting off a two-day manhunt. Governor responds: Gov. Tim Walz of Minnesota expressed support for the school community in a statement. “I’m praying for our kids and teachers whose first week of school was marred by this horrific act of violence,” Mr. Walz said. Trump: President Trump spoke with Mr. Walz by phone, a White House official said. Mr. Trump wrote on social media that the White House would continue to monitor the situation, and later signed a proclamation ordering that flags nationwide be lowered to half-staff until Sunday in tribute to the victims.

I don't have a side fooster I don't like republicucks that want me to die for israel as much as I don't like the democraps that want me to die for being white I want the federal government to cease to exist because they've turned into a huge corrupt scam that aims to screw the middle class in every way conceivable. Whatever side that is, that's the side I'm on. Have a federation of states that contribute to a US Military and leave everything else to the states entirely. Stop having a federal central bank. Civilians can still own automatic weapons if they were made before 1986. Requirements: Find one on the legal NFA registry (very limited supply). Pay $200 federal transfer tax. Go through FBI background check + ATF approval. Wait (months, sometimes a year).

193 House Republicans voted against the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act, which provides over $2.35 billion to expand vital school mental health services and improve learning environments. This is the most significant gun violence prevention law passed in 30 years. 202 House Republicans voted against the Bipartisan Background Checks Act, which helps keep guns out hands of people who are a danger to themselves or others. Senate Republicans have blocked background checks from even getting a vote. 201 House Republicans voted against a red flag bill that would create a federal procedure for law enforcement to intervene and prohibit people who are a danger to themselves or others from possessing a firearm. 210 House Republicans voted against the American Rescue Plan, which provided $12 billion to address mental health needs arising from the pandemic. 196 House Republicans voted against going after gun traffickers, which flood our communities with firearms used by criminals. 193 House Republicans voted against cracking down on the spread of ghost guns which are used by criminals and minors because they can be bought without a background check before President Biden took action to close that loophole through executive action. Now imagine getting upset at those who mock the "thoughts and prayers" solution offered by the GOP. As opposed to those who are actively and intentionally allowing persons like this Minnesota shooter to acquire assault weapons.

It’s gotten worse since 2017. The ass kissing in that recent cabinet meeting was otherworldly. -
I refuse to disclose my Austin360 board handle. Mostly because nobody would remember me and that would be very deflating.

I got put in time out by Katy on Hornfans circa 2003-ish because I said Les would make a good addition to our staff. She said I had earned my suspension because we didn't have any open positions, and it would require someone being fired. And wishing for someone to be fired was against the site rules. I really can't believe any of us happily hung out there for as long as we did. -

FBI statistics They have a more narrow definition of mass shooting I mean yeah in Chicago alone there's probably a hundred mass shootings a year by your definition (whatever that is). You didn't bother to give a definition or any statistics or anything... https://heyjackass.com/

They excelled in being sanctioned by the NCAA with bowl bans for blatant cheating during their “best years ever” record.

Of course but the people in charge of Congress all fetishize their firearms. They don't want it to change because they only care about being able to own a gun. It wouldn't be difficult to litter this thread with Christmas cards of Republican legislators that have family portraits where even the kids are holding AR15s. They wear AR15 pins on their suits. They love the guns. They value the guns more than citizens. They don't give a shit about this other than to use it as a tool to point the finger at people they don't like such as immigrants, minorities, gays, and trans people. To them, it's easier just to ban all those people. Also note to Zeus, which side do think pushes back on Red Flag laws? And anything passed isn't being held up by the gun friendly Supreme Court's right wing majority.
