    Getting old sucks

Especially when watching finding Nemo? With your grand kids ?
  4. Well, that's one I've definitely encountered. I typically just go w/ the knife. This was in April. Just got full feeling back.
  5. Weren't going to kill them until Geno retires.
  6. .
  7. Well it's true if you just watch the play. He clearly looks to two reads before progressing to Wingo. The playcall was interesting because of what you mention but Wingo was hit on an in-breaking route near the hash, so it's not like the explanation of having to hit on the sidelines proves it was a single read.
  8. *starts
  9. This week's decisions: QB1: set OP: set RB: set WR: set TE: .... Kittle or Gadsen? FLEX: Vidal? Boutte? Worthy? Whichever TE I don't start?
  10. conclusion made. you need a bigger tv.
  11. Not because it is easy, but because they're on TV more than Leave It To Beaver re-runs.
  12. They apparently got a lot of money and great recruiting base. Three coaches before bk won it all there
  13. Well, QB development ultimately should culminate in being drafted by the NFL. If a college coach is running an offense that is not allowing his QB to flourish because it's not to his strengths or confidences (yet) and worse decreases his draft status I would say it is poor development. Either that coach needs to develop the player to be capable of running the offense he calls or align his offense to the capability of that QB. How is forcing a player to run a system he's not confident nor is the talent capable of not a QB development issues? Similarly, that he is NOT capable of running the offense the coach is calling is a clear indicator that the coach didn't properly develop that player for that offense. I don't see how you keep missing this point. I'll add that if the player isnt capable of running the offense being calling and there isn't anyone who is capable on the team... isn't that also a player evaluation AND development issue?
  14. G.R.I.N.D. I guess the R at the end is implied. Whoop!
  15. In addition to my 2025 ranking above - here are a few I’ve watched recently that I don’t see mentioned that often and a few my kids enjoy for Halloween every year: - Strange Harvest - if you enjoy mockumentaries/found footage this is definitely worth a watch. Production value and acting is a step above what you would typically see in this subgenre. 6.5/10 (rent) - Braindead/Dead Alive - I hadn’t seen this in probably 20 years and holy shit what a ride. Peter Jackson was in to some weird shit. One of the goriest movie ever made - but in a lovable way?? 8.5/10 (hard to find) - Beast of War - Low budget Australian b-movie but hard to go wrong with WW2 and a terrifying shark. Acting was pretty good as well. 6/10 (rental) - Match - I didn’t like this as much as some others on this thread, but still worth a free watch on Tubi. The protagonist was just too worthless and it fizzled towards the end for me. 4.5/10 (Tubi) - The Long Walk - One of my favorite SK books and this lived up to the hype for me. 8/10 (Rental) - Rituals (1977) - If you are a fan of Deliverance, this is a must-see. 7.5/10 (Prime, Tubi) - Good Boy - I enjoyed this for what it was - props for bringing something original to the table and it had some legit scares. 6.5/10 (Rent) - V/H/S Halloween - probably 2nd best in the series for me. I think if this got a theater release and more exposure it would be big for the masses. 7.5/10 (Shudder) - The Pit (1981) - If you are in to early 80s weirdness, this will scratch that itch. 6.5/10 (Tubi) - Cure - I mentioned this before in this thread. If you enjoy slow-burn Asian horror this is an absolute must see. I lost sleep over this shit. 10/10 (rent) - Frewaka - One of the better folk horror movies I’ve seen in awhile. 7.5/10 (shudder) - Pater Noster and the Mission of Light - In to extremely low budget crazy-ass cult shit? This is for you. 7/ 10 (rent) - The Coffee Table - I don’t even know what to say here. Easily the most uncomfortable subject matter on this list. It’s a dark comedy so that gives it some wiggle room I guess? Just….I warned you. 6.5/10 (shudder, Tubi) - Red Rooms - Not necessarily horror but one of the best movies of the last couple years imo. I’ve seen it 3 times and end up having a different take every time. 9.5/10 (shudder) - Ghost Watch - If you havent seen this, do it. This was filmed as a news special back in the 80s - similar to Dateline or 20/20 and it freaked an entire country out. 9/10 (Shudder) - Freddie Freako - Homage to Ghoulies, Puppet Master, even Garbage Pail Kids (but really good). Same director that did the great Psycho Gorman (must see) and The Void. 7/10 (Shudder, Tubi) - Candyland - Lot lizards getting picked off by a serial killer. Lots of nudity and violence. This was a true hidden gem. 6.5/10 (Shudder, Tubi) - The Innocents (1961) - Absolute classic and holds up well. My teenager wasn’t excited about it but ended up loving it. 9.5/10 (rent) - Trick r Treat - My families Halloween tradition. 7.5/10 (Max) - The Orphanage - Another one we try to revisit every couple years. 9/10 (rent) - Lake Mungo - #3 on the Wutang family tradition list. People hate this or love it. I think it’s awesome. 8/10 (Tubi) Here are some personal favorite FF movies that you might not have heard of: - Milk & Serial - Butterfly Kisses - Jeruzulem - Delivery: The Beast Within (slow but brutal) - Europa Report - The Tunnel - Borderlands - Wer - Afflicted - Missing: Life of Belle (Not great but the ending is shocking) - There are Monsters - The Sacrement - Taking of Deborah Logan
  16. As I have said before, academia is, by its very nature, liberal. And it therefore probably is somewhat a monoculture. And I think one can argue for more "conservative" scholarship without accusing the existing monoculture of being some woke consipiracy of DEI Marxists and trying to destroy it in favor of conservative scholarship. Other than adding a "conservative" scholar, who is truly a scholar and not some kind of demagogue, ostensibly subtracts a liberal scholar. "Best" is always subjective. It's one of those things where MAGAts seize upon a tiny kernel of truth and turn it into some kind of woke conspiracy with the worst possible solution.
  17. Fuckin cheese graters am I right?!
  18. "I'm gonna whip us up some skinny negronis and charge my shirt." Enjoying the new season of Loot. Maya Rudolph is a treasure.
  19. They also scored a TD with 46 seconds left and we had a pick six called back I don't count garbage TDs, they scored 17 points when it mattered. Texas was up 10 with under a minute left Yes, we scored 6 points in the 2nd half. Vanderbilt scored a TD in the 3rd and a garbage time score in the 4th
  20. Texas 27-24 Vanderbilt (Oct 26, 2024) Box Score - ESPN May want to revisit the stats from last year's game (27-24). Likely they have improved more than we. Pavia was 16/67 rushing with a long of 18. We led 21-10 at the half and scored 6 points in the second. 104 yards rushing which includes -20 by Ewers. Vanderbilt is a very physical team. I think we win but will be challenged.
  21. Aside from this quote, why the hell would a governor go on McAfee?
  22. Nico needs to get his shit together
  23. Yes I'm aware, I've been lurking for years. There are many who post that crap 100% serious too. It's not hard to see who those are.
