  7. Is his bat handle wrapped in a wonder bread bag?
  8. Oh, the glee! Shop talk coming up.
  9. How many John Kruk looking guys can you have one team?
  10. Klubnik and Leavitt are the two I thought were out of place. King might work for GT. The rest? Spares. Congrats to Marcel for being 10th on a list of a bunch of mostly "eh" guys.
  11. Africa Corps has some advisors in DRC but has not really been involved in stirring the pot either way. They could see an opening to offer security assistance in exchange for mineral access but the other players— Uganda, Rwanda— make this more complicated. Russia wants to profit in Africa and have influence and pose as an alternative to meddling Western powers. They see openings to help authoritarians crack down on insurgents or dissidents and to force Westerners out. Less interested in refereeing or getting involved in potential inter-state quarrels.
  12. Fox deal estimates: Yeesh, that is pricey. Maybe the Spurs can work their magic and fix his 3pt shot, that would make this a lot better.
  13. Allegorical of our states' mutual history.
  14. I highly recommend taking a solid dose of mushrooms, putting on a good set of headphones and listening to this on repeat.
  15. Nobody ever accused those morons of being smart…
  16. I didn't say can't change em. You quite could, but it would be expensive. Most lawdogs and certainly most of their clients would love that. But, the justice system was operating well within longstanding norms when it couldn't secure a final, indisputable conviction in four years or less, assuming all available appeals are taken. As long as a conviction was subject to appeal, MAGA was never going to believe it would stick, and even if SCOTUS had denied cert on everything, it would have been some weaponization TDS conspiracy bullshit. But it gets back to brisket's philosopher's dilemma. We have one party and their demagogue that wants to shred the social contract, particularly as pertains to the rule of law, and the rest of us that hope for survival of and a return to norms. How much should we rip the contract and destroy the norms in order to return to them?
