  1. Past hour
  2. It could just be a scenario where they called a route right into coverage. It happens. I did like this video, I think this guy does a really good job. Nice to see his assessment that Arch snapped out of it and was a different player. I could feel that in the game, I hope he just doesn't have to work into that every game.
  3. What are the viable alternatives? I have read that the Euro leagues only pay the absolute top players large salaries and the rest get the scraps. The 3 on 3 does not have the capacity to absorb the entire league even at their current salaries. Are there really alternatives that pay the same amount for 4 months of work? What do WNBA players make overseas? Not as much as you’ve heard - The Athletic
  4. We did, went in August. We had a great time. After 2 days, our 5 year old told my wife, "I thought they were talking weird, but now I know that's just the way they talk here." To see his world open in that moment was very cool and about 99% of the reason to bring the kids. If you're going with family, let me know and I can throw a couple of things your way. As far as the language, pretty much everyone you interact with speaks good English. Whenever we went anywhere, out of respect, we would always great them in French and try to ask what we needed in French as well ("quatre pains au chocolat, s'il vous plaît", etc), but as soon as there was a mispronunciation or wrong inflection, they would switch to English. It's just a generational thing for younger French people. They don't care.
  5. meh on that Nike branding effort logo for CC. Expected something a lot better...
  6. It's a negotiation, at least partially happening publicly in the media. That's why we get owners lying about their true costs, or at a minimum not correcting people who make egregious assumptions about "the W has and never will turn a profit!," and the players are going to do it from the other side to appear reasonable by saying "hey we're just asking for the same deal the men have, not on a dollar but on a percentage-basis." Like any negotiation, it will land somewhere in the middle. The owners don't get to set the value of their labor, that is set in the market and the players do have alternatives that currently pay them more, especially the stars. The owners just need to decide if they're willing to pay the new market rate, or go for a lockout. And I guess the players need to decide if the value of the WNBA's amazing platform is worth giving a discount to on their salaries. I come down more on the side of the players than the billionaires, but none of us here know what's actually going on in the room where it happens.
  7. NASA must not have got the memo
  8. My best friend in Seattle went to the UW-tOSU game and sat with the Big Cigars. He said that Jedd Fisch is going to leave Washington at the end of the season. Even though Florida isn't open yet, Fisch has already expressed interest in other jobs, and the Big Cigars really hate him. I hope we hire Ryan Grubb this time.
  9. You left off using tariff revenue to bail out soybean farmers.
  10. Chuck Schumer is so fucking worthless, how does he keep getting elected as Minority Leader? The guy can't communicate, he's senile and he's the only known dinosaur that is also an invertebrate. Someone called Hakeem Jefferies "AIPAC Shakur" and I think that's hilariously accurate. He's worthless too, now I see why the Dem establishment picked him as the next Speaker. Dems need to champion issues, not the process and rules. The issue isn't that you are not agreeing to a CR, the issue is that the American people don't even know what the fuck you are holding out for.
  11. https://www.cbsnews.com/amp/news/trump-defunding-council-of-inspectors-general/ It’s happening.
  12. Just struck me that President Huff & Puff (while not blaming everything on Joe Biden) is actually embracing Socialism (or is it Communism...well anyway) Japan handing over $500 billion in investment funds that require Goverment (aka Trump) approval. Taking a stake in Intel, MP Materials, Lithium Americas, and a "golden share" in US Steel and those are the ones that come to mind. I can barely imagine what MAGA, conservatives, Republicans and Libertarians would say if Obama or Biden said they wanted to take a stake in a Company. Feel free to tear apart the details of these deals, add ones that I missed and/or to point out how awesome it is that the US is getting it's money's worth vs. picking winners.
  13. Totally agree they deserve a raise, but comparing salaries/revenue percentages to the NBA is nonsensical. The league already offered a sizable increase as their base offer, and if they negotiate above that, they will all receive a large increase across the board. Their focus though, is on comparing percentages to the men which is not a good faith argument.
  14. Josh Pate is all in on Billy Napier?
  15. the point is 9-3 is a shit record, and not even in the conversation as a realistic option unless all time chaos breaks out across CFB
  16. Apparently the big programs disagreed with your brothers. I mean, Holy Cross, is he studying for the priesthood?
  17. Though privately funded, Congress did not agree (vote) to cede land for this ballroom. Still waiting to learn that ICE agents will continue to be paid during the shutdown.
  18. What is this, year five of the Supreme Court going full regard 100% of the time? And you and twice still hold out hope? Cute.
  19. I couldn't figure out why Wingo was working a post/corner route against zone. The corner who squatted was just waiting for him bc his responsibility was outside. He had help with the post move. Misread by Wingo?
  20. I had to re-evaluate one year after getting smash hammered and walking out of there with 3 Super Mops and a whole new cookware set.
  21. Let him play.
