The extra practices you get from a Cheese-Dick bowl game isn't gonna make a team tangibly better the following season.

This is the kind of stuff that happens in war these days - innovation at a rapid pace.

For me, the worst thing about Trump is not Trump himself. It's that he's exposed people I loved, respected, etc. (relatives, friends, friends' parents, co-workers) as being pieces of shit. A lot of people kept a lot of awful thoughts and opinions buried because of polite society, and they fooled a lot of us until Trump came along and told them it was okay to be prejudiced and ignorant.

I think it's a little of both, and I think Trump can only punch down. Four very recent examples: Mamdani's appearance at the White House. He confidently went into Trump's space and didn't cower, didn't grovel, and Trump can't punch back in those circumstances. Trump clearly still thinks about NYC, and damned if he wasn't in love with its new mayor. He was even asked about his comments about Trump being a fascist, and Trump defended him/changed the subject. South Park. Trump has constantly gone after broadcast networks to get late-night hosts canceled, because he had leverage over those networks and their licenses. Matt and Trey give no fucks and literally got paid "FUCK YOU" money and are now basically untouchable and are just fucking merciless, mocking his dick size, even doing some live-action bits making fun of him and his dick size, mocking how much of a piece of shit he is, how incompetent he is, how wrapped up in TikTok or twitter his underlings are, etc. Just showing no mercy. The White House issued a tepid response and then backed off, probably out of fear of more of MAGA seeing it. Governor Newsom. He has flipped Trump's attacks and his fake awards around and is just pounding away using Trump's wording and style, constantly mocking Trump's actions. You'd think Trump would be sending in the National Guard to more CA cities to try and put Newsom in his place, but given the previous deployment was mocked, plus he's been embarrassed to see Newsom use his own words and attitude against him, he's mostly leaving Newscum alone. Mark Kelly. Trump and Hegseth threatened him, claimed he was seditious and Kelly challenged them head on. As TwiceHorn said, Hegseth probably talked to a real lawyer, plus he was being clowned for not realizing the photo was in a mirror. Trump probably recognized at some point that Kelly was looking for a fight all the while Kelly's stature was being elevated. Oh, and Trump probably didn't realize what had happened with the second strike stuff until after he went after Kelly. You are 100% right, he doesn't feel like a coward when he sees clear weakness. And he doesn't understand Ukraine because Trump has never been the underdog - he was born on third base and thinks he hit a triple. In his world, the one with the most resources/money should automatically win.

Unfortunately a little bit of dead air is not allowed by any broadcast these days. It’s brutal

After I got burglarized and filled out a list of stolen items and approximate value in the Sheriff's Dept teeny tiny form only to get a 4 word response of "I can't read this", I refrained from replying "sound it out". Probably be a lot cooler if I did.

Little Richard, Fogerty and Cobain had the intangible vocal quality for rock and roll. Maybe McCartney and Westerberg.

We feel jobbed by the CFP committee, but they have been telegraphing this move for weeks so we expected it. We were not shocked like ND. Even still we feel like every year we are taking a step forward. First year in P4 was rough (5-7). Y2 we were 11-2 and almost made the CCG and the CFP. Y3 we were 11-1, made the CCG, and just barely missed the CFP. We also just signed our highest rated recruiting class ever (#21), locked in our head coach, and have increased commitments for NIL. We are ascendant and the future looks bright. Kalani is taking the high road and saying all the right things and showing respect for Georgia Tech. We all wanted to play ND, show we are better than them, and show we deserved to be in the CFP. We want to take our righteous anger out on our next opponent like we did to Colorado last year after getting snubbed by the CFP. We mostly think ND is acting like cowards (they knew they would be playing BYU and decline) and crybabies. They are throwing a fit. Some history. We had a 6 game contract during independence with ND. It was a 2-for-1 home/away balance. When they made a deal with the ACC that complicated the series and delayed it. We had played 2 games in Bend and we were trying to get the game in Provo scheduled. They wouldn't fulfill their agreement and refused to come to Provo. We ended up playing a neutral in Vegas to close out the shortened deal. We see it as another bitchass move on their part, just like the refusal to play us again this year. A lot of BYU fans are sick of their antics.

On Friday, overhead a guy in my office (two doors down from me thankfully) talking to another guy about how he and his whole family had Covid right now, but it was so mild he didn't feel sick enough to stay home. Thanks dickhead, lucky for you but I'm not that eager to strap on a case since I'm in my 50s and obese. And I have a cruise coming up and I don't want to catch this crud.
