Could this be the craziest coaching carousel of all time?
boilerhorn replied to GreenspointTexas's topic in Football
IIRC, that is after the 2024 game. In 2023, FAU beat USF 52-14. Herman left the starting QB in during the 4th quarter and had him throwing, too. I guess Golesh did not take kindly to it and brushed him off. -
She’s had a ton of girls drafted, including a handful of top picks. So she develops well

Government Shutdown 2025: This Time It’s Personal

This doesn’t quite mathematically align with trump’s 92% overall approval rating (AND GOING UP!) which came from a very highly placed source, so there must be a liberal bias in polling usa’s sample. -
Before the have to contribute to the dysfunctional family Christmas thread, please help solve the following math problem/family argument. Target had a Black Friday deal. First 100 in line win a prize. 10 of the prizes are bonus, more valuable prizes. If my wife, 2 sons, SIL, and mom go, what are the odds of winning a bonus prize? It's been awhile since I took statistics, so I'm not going to assume I'm correct.

Apparently, he's not good at the glad handing part of the job. Big complaint I would hear from the UNT faithful is that he really didn't seem interested in being around the fans. He would do his radio show at the local Rudy's and as soon as his segment was done, he was gone without shaking any of the hands of the folks who were in attendance. He's a good coach, but nowadays you have to be more than that. You have to be CEO of the operation, and part of that operation, especially at the P4 level, is being a promoter of the program. From what the UNT folks tell me, he doesn't seem to have much desire to do that part. -

yeah, I'll leave it to the soccer experts, but that NC in year 1 and then not following it up with an elite 8 or sweet 16 kind of makes you wonder but the year before(2021) the NC the previous head coach lost to UCI in round one. Maybe we needed UCI's Head Coach, jk. not really the amount of time as a HC that we usually see CDC go after but hopefully much better than kelly and the recruiting ties to Cali could be huge.

Phil's Neflix travel show is also very good. He's a good dude.

Holy shit you dipshits: 9-3 Texas is probably in the playoffs
Bert Orange replied to Wulaw Horn's topic in Football
This shouldn’t be about scheduling Ohio St. or Notre Dame. Or whoever the fuck else OOC that we want to see. This should be about a 12 game conference-only schedule to ensure 1) we still see good games 2) the conferences that wish they were competitive get even more irrelevant in the selection process and 3) we see Ohio St soon enough. In the damn playoffs. i sure as fuck would rather see more SEC games than I would watch a cupcake. Both net the same result. One is immensely more fun to watch. -

Harry Enten putting odds on whether ACA subsidies are extended is pretty silly. -
Oh, this is absolutely part of the play. Every single asset of "we the people" is aimed to be transferred to the private hands of TrumpCo and his cronies. Every. Single. One.

WTF was Herman's problem with Golesh after this game? I mean, other than getting whipped by 23 points. -
Brasil has more accountability than the US, given the news of the dropping of the GA case voting case against tfg.

The FSU loss happened after 9 months to prepare. No road games for a few days. UF also had a bye. So our bye is more pertinent than their bye? They were in desparation mode which allowed them to regroup. They had 5* WR play his first game. He took advantage of our missing CB, our best CB. We at least had the ball with the opportunity to tie in the 4th, albeit a small chance. They took both Georgia and Ole Miss to the 4th without the full services of their top 2 pass catchers versus us. FSU lost to a team that beat San Jose State on a last second FG. The last possession Bama had to tie or take the lead was midway thru the 2nd quarter versus FSU. They went 3 and out. But sure that’s a way better loss. Yes, if Bama wins the sec championship, they are clearly in. They are in if they make the championship for that matter. We have played and competed against more high level teams than anyone. We’ve also done it on the road or at a neutral site as much as anyone. -
Predicted enrollment for 26-27 at Bryker was 117%. They did say those numbers were not counting portables but that number was a factor in them determining closures. Maybe those numbers are wring but it's at least what was pointed out as one of the factors. In the initial boundary change I was going to have an elementary change so I'll definitely be keeping an eye on this. In the spirit of trying to align feeder patterns and keep from having to cross major roads I think they are just going to add to more discrepancy between school east of 35 versus west of it.

All I care about at this point is beating aggy. After the Florida dick-tripping, I'll be content with a win over our three historical rivals and still being in the playoff conversation until the last week of the season whether we make it or not. It would just be too damn funny to piss in aggy's punchbowl while they are psyching themselves up for a playoff run. -

I agree that a lot of D1 coaches are the types of highly driven people who often just aren’t nice to be around. I don’t fault corporate speakers and guests who cut off their hobnobbing at time. Those contracts how they make their money, the fees are spelled out, and I don’t fault an other professional for leaving when their job ends. It’s fine if they are having fun and want to meet and greet, it’s also fine if they call it once they deliver what they agreed to. Different story if you’re assholish at dinners in your honor or kids events or something. -
Yeah, but he's less a songwriter than a virtuoso. Which also has its place. But c'mon, Broke Down South of Dallas and Highway Patrol are just plain fun.

Never watched a single episode during its original run. I have now seen every episode at least 10 times. It's great comfort TV. The entire cast is fantastic.
