2020 NFL DRAFT

Recommended Posts

Haven’t seen this posted in this forum but LSU had 16 players at the combine, which is 4 more than UT, Aggy and OU combined. Obviously, Ed is a recruiting guru but that talent difference is ridiculous.

Malcolm certainly has the work ethic to make have a decent career in the NFL. He may never be a full time starter, but should provide quality depth for a team that knows how to use him correctly.

Denzel Mims has made himself a ton of money since the season ended. He killed it at the Senior Bowl and then put up huge numbers at the combine. He’s got a really good shot at going in the first round now.

6’3, 207

40: 4.38

Vert: 38.5

3 cone: 6.66

That 3 cone is elite for a guy his height.

He has Jones going at 81 and Duvernay at 102. I’ll be absolutely shocked if Jones goes anywhere near that high.

Duvernay will really struggle to go before the third round. This draft is absolutely stacked at WR.

I can't help but think that a handful of teams will scout him differently than the media pundits and have him higher up their boards. If you want a consistent source of production, Duv's your man.

New England Patriots awarded four compensatory draft picks, leading NFL

Mar 10, 2020  Mike Reiss ESPN Staff Writer

The New England Patriots were awarded a league-high four compensatory draft picks, the NFL announced Tuesday.  The Patriots add two third-rounders and two sixth-rounders to their overall haul of 12 picks. It helps them partially fill a void of not having a second-round pick -- a selection they traded to the Atlanta Falcons for receiver Mohamed Sanu in October.  A team losing more or better compensatory free agents than it acquires in the previous year is eligible to receive compensatory picks.  The Patriots' selections (Nos. 98, 100, 212, 213) were a result of losing defensive end Trey Flowers, offensive tackle Trent Brown, defensive tackle Malcom Brown and receiver Cordarrelle Patterson.

New England was one of 15 teams to be awarded compensatory picks. The Denver Broncos, Houston Texans, Minnesota Vikings, New York Giants, Philadelphia Eagles and Seattle Seahawks all received three picks.

The Texans received the highest overall pick, a third-rounder (No. 97).  The Giants (99), Seahawks (101), Pittsburgh Steelers (102), Eagles (103), Los Angeles Rams (104), Vikings (105) and Baltimore Ravens (106) were the other clubs to receive third-round picks.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Chicago Bears, Miami Dolphins, Washington Redskins, Ravens, Seahawks, and Eagles (2) gained fourth-round picks.

The Broncos and Dallas Cowboys received the only fifth-rounders, while the Patriots and Seahawks had the only sixth-rounders

In the seventh round, the Giants (2), Texans (2), Vikings (2), Dolphins (2) and Broncos (2) landed picks.

Hopefully Jake Fromm has a great O-line in the NFL, cause With 5.05 40 he isn’t out running anyone.

I fully expect Jake Fromm to suck ass in the NFL while I also expect his former backup, Justin Fields, to be a Top 5 pick (probably #2) and have a long NFL career with several years as a starter.

Something about Fields makes me wonder if he will hold up physically in the NFL... kinda like Cam Newton and all of his injuries.

On some Cam news... maybe to the Raiders??

The number of flying headshots that I saw Cam receive (without a flag) in on game about 3 years ago was more than I’ve ever seen in a single season.

Actually adhering to the rules will extend the careers of mobile QBs.

Vamos a ver.

This draft I feel is going to be a welcome sense of normalcy and morale. Also it’s gonna have an 80s/90s feel to it which is going to be awesome if they do it with war rooms/ phone calls to the headquarters with the pick. Hopefully no schefters getting tipped on picks so he can tweet them out

Mel Kiper's mock draft 3.0... (5 days ago)

Kiper is basically just a caricature of his former self at this point. It’s wild how bad his analysis is these days.

Might be right B-Mack...

Kiper has CeeDee Lamb going to Dallas in the 1st Round in above Mock Draft 3.0.

https://sports.yahoo.com/report-dolphins-attempting-acquire-no-162019375.html

The Dolphins are rumored to be working on swinging a deal with the Bungles to acquire the #1 pick. Would Burrow pull an Eli if he were drafted by the Bungles and refuse to play for them and demand a trade? The Dolphins certainly have the draft capital to offer pulling off the trade, they have three 1st rounders (#5, 18 & 26) and two 2nd rounders to offer in a package. That would be rather enticing to a 2-14 team with a lot of holes who could slide by another year with Dalton tanking for Lawrence in the 2021 draft. I wouldn't draft Tua at #5, not with his injury history. For a team that hasn't had a reliable QB since Dan Marino they can't afford to continue fucking up and rolling with an injury prone QB like Tua.

Most think Tua won't be available at the #5 pick anyway.  Would be crazy if Carolina could somehow end up with Burrow, but Panthers probably don't have enough to offer.

Burrows with Joe Brady in the NFL would be fun to watch...

2020 NFL Draft Prospect Rankings: Top 100 Big Board 2.0

Damn, this writer has some BULLSHIT TCU bias...

36. Jeff Gladney, CB, TCU (rSR, 5' 10", 191 pounds)

Gladney lacks ideal size and length at the position, but he plays with a more physical presence than his weight would suggest. Blending foot quickness, short-area agility and a feisty competitive toughness, Gladney has a nose for the ball that's led to 26 passes defended since 2018 and five interceptions over his three seasons as a starter.

41. Ross Blacklock, IDL, TCU (rJR, 6' 3", 290 pounds)

Often utilized in a two-gap role at TCU, Blacklock displays impressive burst and lateral agility to be a disruptive one-gap penetrator at the next level. His pass-rushing upside puts him in the mix as a potential first-rounder in April.

42. Jalen Reagor, WR, TCU (JR, 5' 11", 206 pounds)

Reagor’s 40-yard dash time (4.47) was worse than expected in Indy, but the junior receiver plays much faster than his timed runs at the combine and is a dynamic player in the open field. Last year’s production (43/611/5) dropped from his breakout sophomore campaign (72/1,061/9), but his quarterback situation was less than ideal.
