  1. This. What we will learn is that the government has no fucking idea what the UAP is.
  2. If it gets rid of religion, I pray that it is incompatible.
  3. My MIL retired from teaching at ACC and has every quiz and test ever turned in because ACC requires she keep it in case someone complains about a quiz grade from 1996. The garage is just wall to wall piles of paper. The day she kicks it, we will start filling up a dumpster. Won’t look at shit. It’s all getting trashed.
  4. I’ll never go to Buda so close them down. It’s been going downhill since he left the Star Bar anyway.
  5. Depends. Seattle proper is gonna be more expensive but outside of that, it’s comparable or cheaper. If I go from central Austin to Vancouver outside of Portland or Gig Harbor on the other side of Puget Sound, 800K goes much further. Portland proper is cheaper than Austin and Denver is roughly the same for central urban neighborhoods but the close in suburbs are still way cheaper than central Austin.
  6. She was an aggy grad “going home”. She was probably taking a pay cut to go to her alma mater and unfortunately found out the hard way how much aggy thought of her aggy bonafides.
  7. I’ve seen a sign they put in the seat that says “I paid for two seats.” I assume you have to know to ask the flight attendant for it though.
  8. That Now or Later was 11 cents circa ‘85.
  9. Gotta kill 4+ for it to be a mass shooting. This was just a neighborhood freedom display.
  10. For retirement planning, I recently did a comparison of Colorado vs Texas vs Oregon vs Washington regarding property taxes, state income taxes, and sales tax. For property taxes I did a home value of $800K, for state income tax I used $150K in income, and for the sales tax I based on $25K of taxable purchases. Austin had a tax burden of ~$19,000 a year in taxes while Colorado was ~$10,000, Oregon ~$21,000, and Washington was the cheapest at ~$9,000.
  11. Val Kilmer was the original pick, then Smith, then Keanu. I remember reading about the movie on the early movie rumors site, Corona Coming Attractions, back in the mid 90s.
  12. As a hiring manager, I always told my assigned HR recruiter to pass me every single resume. I don't want them weeding out anyone. I found out the hard way when a half dozen good candidates were never passed on to me even though their resumes clearly showed they had the exact experience I was looking for.
  13. Let the prison corporations run mental residential facilities and we'd have 100% bipartisan support for mental health at unprecedented funding levels.
  14. The proposed Tulsa Massacre Shootin’ Gallery may be a bit much.
  15. The latest movie alluded to a time when Indy was more concerned with money and glory instead of protecting history. Let’s see that era and what made him change. Maybe he had partnered up with Belloq in the early days and that partnership went sour.
  16. We didn’t see that. They were well known and politically active and involved in everything. The Jedi should’ve been like a cult there were rumors about but few knew the truth.
  17. And add a few bottles of vodka.
  18. Having grown up in a small Texas town, I can verify that the locals ain’t gonna do shit. Odds are they’re the ones being dirtbags while being cheered on by their cousin-wives.
  19. For sale at the Meow Wolf gift shop in Denver.
  20. Dunno where to put this. Megadeth drummer had never heard Mr Brightside before, he listens to a drum less version of it once and plays through it in one take with a drum part he came up with on the fly. Completely changes the feel of the song making it more somber.
  21. Overheard in Colorado today: “Texans are always highly impressed with everything they do.” Lulz. He ain’t wrong.
