This story about Porter is cracking me up. Admittedly he didnt have a lot of solid options to work with, but the wheels are probably coming off when your disclaimer to the press can basically be summarized as "the dick pics I sent were not actually me,  just your typical joke stock dick pic images........get it???"

Damn, another one bites the dust for ol’ Diggity.

Clown me all you want but watch what kind of value these teams get out of some of these guys.  Although both guys (Profar and Hernandez) got about the upper limit of what I would have given them.  Jonathan Villar is another guy who contenders with an OF/IF need and an opening at the bottom of their order should be looking at.

I’m not clowning the $7M at all, that’s perfectly reasonable, it’s you wanted them both to play some CF this year & be a SS/3B option next. That’s fucking laughable.

Profar has played 9 more professional innings in CF in his life than Scraps has, & that was literally in game 60 of this season when they had jackshit to play for. He also hasn’t stepped foot on a diamond at SS or 3B since ‘18 because the throw from 2B is even too difficult for him. So yes, I will clown that.

I want Jurickson Profar, Enrique Hernandez, or Jon Villar.  All can play in CF and could serve as insurance if Correa leaves and they aren’t able to secure one of the other good FA SS.

Ha, ol’ Snake didn’t like those facts, so here’s more.

Profar’s season is representative of the difficulty in evaluating players on the heels of such a short year; the end results look solid, but it also should be noted that as late into the season as Aug. 27, Profar was batting .181/.291/.319. That was surely a cause of some concern for some clubs, as was the fact that Profar ranked in the 23rd percentile or worse in terms of exit velocity, hard-hit rate and barrel rate, per Statcast.

Yankees SP will be sick the first 2 months before everyone blows out their elbows thanks to the dipshit fucking training staff.

Sad to see Cannan Smith go, he was one of the prospects I’ve been following since he got drafted. OBP machine. He went to Rockwall and his brother is Jaxon Smith-Njgabaa, future star receiver for tOSU.

The Astros only stole some signs.  The Mets owner stole your investments.

Should The Mets Be Kicked Out Of Major League Baseball?

(LOL)

...Today is a sad day in America. Corrupt billionaires are getting richer off the backs of ordinary people just trying to make some money for themselves. And what crook is involved in all of it? Steve "Largest Fine In SEC History" Cohen. The new billionaire owner of the Mets is (allegedly) heavily connected to bailing out the hedge funds that got screwed over by the soaring prices of stocks like GameStop and AMC. He's (probably) part of the reason that Robinhood stole from the poor and gave to the rich by stopping people from buying stocks like GameStop, Nokia, and AMC. Are you an average, hard-working American who thought they were finally going to use the stock market to get rich? Well you can blame people like Steve Cohen for screwing you over.

Scummy Steve Cohen has tried to be the cool billionaire owner on Twitter mixing it up with the fans. But when you're looked at as a key figure in one of the biggest scandals in financial history, your mentions aren't going to be as fun. He's already crying about it...

...Don't let this guy fool you. He and the Mets need to be investigated and possibly punished.

Some possibilities:

-Steve Cohen is forced to sell the New York Mets back to the Wilpons for pennies on the dollar. The Wilpons would never be involved in a financial scandal like this.

-The Mets are kicked out of Major League Baseball entirely

-The Mets can stay in baseball, but they lose all their players. The other 29 teams do a draft of every player on their 40 man roster. First pick goes to the team that plays closest to them. Second pick goes to the team closest to them in the alphabet. So I guess the Yankees would end up with Jacob deGrom and Fransico Lindor that way? Wow didn't even realize that, but I guess it's the right thing to do.

GET GOING @MLB

The performance art is better at the link, but a) I don't want to steal too much of the writer's content, or b) I'm too lazy to post all those tweets

Can you imagine if they hadn't gotten rid of Wong?  The infield could have been Molina, Goldschmidt, Wong, DeJong, and Arenado.

That would be in the discussion for bet defensive infield ever.

Bottom line, they didn't want their Wong.  Respect their self-identity.

Didi Gregorius is returning to the Philadelphia Phillies after the free-agent shortstop reached a two-year, $28 million deal with the team, a source confirmed to ESPN on Saturday.

Gregorius, who turns 31 on Feb. 18, proved to be a huge bargain in 2020 for the Phillies, who signed the free agent to a one-year, $14 million deal last offseason. He rebounded from an injury-plagued 2019 season with the New York Yankees by hitting .284 with 10 home runs, 40 RBIs and 34 runs scored -- and an .827 OPS -- for the Phillies during the pandemic-shortened season.

If the bridge isn't burned maybe they still sign him. He clearly isn't getting many looks in FA.

His tweet after they signed waino was funny,  though.

LOS ANGELES -- Former Major League Baseball pitcher Scott Erickson has been charged with reckless driving in connection to a hit-and-run in Southern California that killed two boys last year.

The Los Angeles District Attorney's office said Erickson, 52, was charged Wednesday with one misdemeanor count of reckless driving.

Investigators told KABC-TV he was racing with Rebecca Grossman on Sept. 29, moments before she struck and killed 11-year-old Mark Iskander and his 8-year-old brother, Jacob, as they crossed the street in Westlake Village, a suburb 30 miles northwest of downtown Los Angeles.

The boys were crossing the street in a marked crosswalk with their parents.

Prosecutors alleged that Grossman continued driving, eventually stopping about a quarter-mile from the crash scene.

Grossman, 57, pleaded not guilty to charges of murder, vehicular manslaughter with gross negligence and hit-and-run driving resulting in death. The charges carry a maximum penalty of 34 years to life in state prison.

Grossman, a philanthropist whose Grossman Burn Foundation supports burn survivors, is free on $2 million bail.

Erickson is scheduled to be arraigned March 16. A call to a number listed for him went unanswered.
