It’s kind of funny reading through pages of a bunch of middle aged white dudes bagging on the WNBA. I would say at this point with their social media presence and fan engagement, we aren’t their target market. My late teen daughters are all in. They don’t watch any other sports outside of F1, but they both have ESPN+ to watch games, follow numerous players religiously on socials, have travelled specifically for games, had a big watch party for the AllStar game, etc. Neither like Clark for the record, she has zero appeal/engagement for them.

Now is the exact right time for the players to go after more money with expansion, the TV rights contract, valuation increases, etc. Every other sport has done it, so the view around here on the WNBA players making their play for a larger split is a little odd.

Which ones that are beholden to another league, demanded increases in pay?

It ain't fucking magic.  The money has to come from somewhere.  How bout the WNBAers produce it first?  Nah.  Fuck that.  You owe us.

Collier hurt her ankle unfortunately.

They were up like a billion and never should have still been in the game
