Let's see... Oklahoma, Kansas, Idaho, Nebraska, Mississippi, Alabama... will I eventually get to 25? Gotta be something dumb like that. "The real states".

Why did Marge wear a sweater on 60 Minutes tonight that featured an American flag which only had 25 stars?

Y'all are overthinking it.

Some 10 year-old in a Chinese sweatshop is doing good to have them be stars and not circles or squares, and you want them to know how many states there are?

She has trouble counting beyond 18, and that's with both shoes off.

There's 25 stars on the other side of the flag you stooped lib. That makes a total of 50 stars. - Maga, probably.

Because the United States ceased to exist after 1870 and its an illegitimate corporation you fucking retards.

Y'all give Marge a break. She went to Georgia public schools where they outlawed arabic numbers. Jesus had 12 disciples, so why do you have to count higher than that?

It’s lucky she has the same number of toes

Sloth toe apparently told Donald Trump unless he agreed to cease funding Israel and Ukraine, she would resign.

Which means she apparently cares about the children - unless they’re raped and kidnapped by Russians.

Not sure if anyone has the appetite to read such a long piece, but while this profile of MTG -- based on a couple of interviews and some really candid quotes from her -- doesn't exactly put her in a new light, it certainly answers a few questions. It's possible I'm a fool, but her decision to part with Trump over the last several months seems genuine after reading this.

It also confirms my impression that she accurately reflects the views of well-off, middle-aged white women with Fox News Brain from culturally conservative small towns. In other words, she reminds me a whole lot of some I went to high school with and have kept in touch with since: entitled, arrogant, ignorant, conspiratorial-minded, but ultimately honest about who she is and what she (wrongly) believes in.

While I loathe the shit that she's said and done, and therefore I'm unsympathetic to her being cast from Trump's good graces, she sounds oh-so-familiar to some of the conservative people I know who've lived their adult lives in the Fox News bubble, blindly believing everything the teevee bobbleheads have told her for the past 30 years.

It's no wonder these people are always so angry and confused about shit when all they're told (and willingly listening to) is that "those people" are to blame for everything. And now that she's actually been exposed to trying to work with Trump -- as opposed to just fawning over him from afar -- the scales have fallen from her eyes, and she sees him for who he really is: a corrupt, self-serving asshole who's only loyal to himself.

I think she may be a good, real-time reflection of the erosion in support we (Surly posters) have been observing anecdotally among our families and in our social circles. @atomheartbevo You've discussed this in several posts lately, so I'd like to hear your thoughts after you read it. No rush, though, because it is pretty long and worth stewing over for a bit.

Definitely worth a read to get a better understanding of some of the turmoil going on within MAGA.

But....and this is very, very important....given a choice between Trump or a "I'm a Trump clone!" candidate and ANY Democrat, they'll vote Trump, because Dems are evil communistsocialistnazi demons who eat babies for the adenochrome and want to force every child to become both gay and trans, no exceptions.

She looks like she’s being hunted or is in captivity in this photo. It’s like a still from Planet of the Apes. Not of the hot fur bikini wearing retrograde woman that the actor falls for, one of the extras cast for their Denisovian features.

When MTG made her apology for engaging in toxic politics, it read like an apology. And, her statements in support of women ring true. That’s what I will credit. Go back to Georgia, Ms Greene. Keep learning.
