Wolff looked great once again.  Unfortunately, with his rising stock I'm afraid he might not be here a year from now.

I said the same thing about Dani a couple years ago.... but still here

7 minutes plus stoppage time, and I feel sorta confident we won't get another shot off.

You're a wizard, Harry.

Unsurprising result at Cincinnati, but for a minute there I thought we might be able to take a point on the road.

We seem to play a two-man game once we get into their third, and as a result we need someone to make an amazing play in order to get a legit scoring chance. Right now, that's pretty much Wolff, sometimes Biro or Bukari.

We should have a lot more depth to our tactics at this point. Not necessarily more complicated, but there should be more facets to our strategy.

Good Lord, this is a beating.  Stuver giving up rebounds that any decent team would be pouncing on, the defense chasing the ball, no creativity or aggressiveness to shoot up front... the midfield is the only decent showing tonight.

Sigh. You could hide “suck” in a haystack, and this team would manage to find it.

Two coaches in a row that insist on Wolff taking corners when he either can’t reach the box or can’t kick it 3 feet in the air 90% of the time. Such a waste of opportunities.

I would have been happy with a tie going into this match but damn, we dominated that game for 75 or so minutes. Vancouver keeper seems like a badass based on the games I've watched this year. I remember him from previous years, but he seems locked the fuck in this year.

Bukari was really causing problems tonight, I wish Uzuni was making more of an impact. Sabovic had his best two performances Wednesday and tonight, he is starting to look like a great rotational replacement for Dani or Sanchez.

Regarding Wolff taking corners, I agree that he is not doing well, but I honestly don't think we have better options. We haven't had anyone who could provide good corner service since Fagundez.

Twice in this game Uzuni made super weird decisions to pull back when I thought he could have pushed forward.   Particularly early in first half where he could have battled forward then just passed it across the field.

I am not seeing it from him. Bukari clearly has a ton of skill, but he and Gallagher don’t seem to connect well along the side.

It just feels like a bunch of guys that haven’t played together, and I guess there is some truth to that.

My wife is all about “they aren’t playing together as a team.” I’m all about “nobody in this world is better at killing their own momentum than this team.” They get an advantage or breakaway…and if it’s not PERFECT….they seize up and start back-passing, killing any scoring chance they may have had. It’s MADDENING. It’s a cousin of how our forwards insist on 4 touches at the goal when a one-touch flick, imperfect as it may be, could score.

Z with his first MLS goal - sweet! And good for me, as wife is excited because he’s one of her two favorite players. It was a solid sequence as well - man, I’d love to see a lot more play like that.

I think this is the definition of playing to your opponent - draw against crappy ATL and RSL; draw against top tier MIN and VAN.

Yep.  Was a bit bummed to miss the match last night, but between the weather and my wife feeling lousy, was the right call.  Was not fun to watch until we made our subs.

Gee, Nico....have you noticed how this team gets a fire lit under them when we make our subs, like EVERY time?  So, maybe don't wait until the 70th-80th minute to fucking do so?

Neither of our center backs has any passing range. Asking them to hit a long diagonal is just not in their toolkit.

We also really miss when Dani can’t advance the ball with his feet. RSL was happy to let our dual 6 midfield have the ball because neither of those guys were able to get the ball into the attacking third with any consistency. Owen had some interplay with Bukari at times but frankly the movement from the front 3 sucks. No one knows what the plan is to create offense and it shows.

BHI passed straight to the opposing goalkeeper several times.  Uzuni only touched the ball 16 times (I can't remember even close to that many).
All the play was up the right with Gally, Owen, & Buka.  Very little through the middle or on the left.  They have to figure out how not to be so one dimensional in the attack.  G,O, & B put together some great chances, but if that is all you have it become fairly easy to defend against.
Uzuni plays too far to the middle to be considered the left wing which leaves Biro trying too hard - they don't have the chemistry as G,O, &  B.  Really looking forward to Dani being back and Robert Taylor working on the left.  I hope that will help with a more widely spread attack.

This team is….officially very, very bad.
They couldn’t score in a Mexican whorehouse with a roll of $100s.
Watching them and UT baseball last night was a recipe for depression.
No strategic play as a team. Watching SD bring the ball forward with crisp passing and simply designed alternating runs was such a contrast.
Sure, there’s some talent issues, but yet again, we’re back to a coaching problem. The Nico hire was not what we needed - definitely not an upgrade.

Been waiting to this team to "click" before I spend money on going to see them this year, but this season is quickly passing me by..... Was so much fun during Driussis first year. People actually seemed like they wanted to play for Austin.
