That is correct. That throw you are talking about to Moore was thrown over the wrong shoulder. The throw I am talking about was the OT one and it was thrown over the correct shoulder but people here said it was thrown wrong because Moore looked the wrong way.

so why are you bringing up another throw to argue that this particular play was not a bad throw by Quinn? is it unheard of in a game for a QB to make a great throw and a bad throw? again, to speak on this particular play and to repeat the question: are you really saying placing that ball in a catchable spot is a herculean task expected of a QB

you keep telling people they don't know what they are looking at when they see that gif.

I know you’re just doing your job as Quinn’s PR guy but the excuses you are making for Quinn is the type of shit that makes fans more pissed off because there is never any accountability for anything Quinn does. That was a horrible throw as seen from the QB POV but all you can say is that Quinn didn’t throw it better because the WR can’t track the ball. Like what? Just admit Quinn made a shitty throw. Even the Quinn doubters on here can admit when he makes a damn good play like he was doing on the crossing routes, but the Quinn devotees can never admit fault when he misses wide open guys all over the field.

You don't know what you are looking at. DB position tells the receiver where the ball should be. The fact that you are arguing against that says you do not know what you are looking at.

Quinn’s done here.  In this scenario, he would be transferring somewhere for his senior year if he discovers his draft stock is inadequate which he may find it very well may be

I was okay with Quinn over Arch because Arch would theoretically be more prone to costly turnovers and taking big sacks (pun kind of intended). The strength of Quinn's game was he protected the football, almost to the point where he was too careful at times. That was all good, but the past two weeks, he's turned it over 4 times and taken a bunch of sacks, making it tough to convert first downs and making for longer field goal attempts. You can try blaming away the turnovers on everyone besides Quinn, but turnovers are turnovers and you could argue it could've been worse. I'm pretty sure Arch could've matched or exceeded Quinn's stat line, with the added dimension of the defense having to account for a running QB.  And I'm absolutely sure Arch could have hit the 5 yard pass that Moore turned into 41 yards, and our only TD the entire game.

It’s been all season dude. Colorado State, UTSA, OU, Kentucky, A&M, UGA, etc. He’s had some horrendous turnovers. If Arch throws two picks a game in the playoffs, you have to imagine you’d get a similar result with Quinn.

I wasn't ever talking about that throw. That was you mistaking me for it. I said that earlier. We were talking about the OT throw.

Batted ball at the line. Fumble trying to run. Blocked punt. Somehow you guys think all 3 of those are Quinn's fault.

Batted balls are absolutely his fault because of his throwing motion. I have never seen a QB in my life get as many balls batted at the line than him.

Also, the special teams never even comes into play if not for Quinn's pick 6 on a terrible pass. That game was close because of him and him alone.

Why because you can't handle shit talk about an average QB that you dipshits fanboy like he's Colt or Vince?

No, it’s because you are shit talking easily a top 3 QB we have ever had here because he isn’t reaching your video game stats. Calling current players pussies when the site is actively trying to build a relationship with the team, players and athletic department is the other.

Not all of them, just 2 out of 3. Both the batted ball INT and fumble from Quinn inside the aggy 15 is still pretty shitty and resulted in 0 points.

Gentlemen. It's time to close this chapter. He's not going to get it done, and arguing about his deficiencies isn't solving anything. He's limited, he's always injured, and he's frail. He's like 6'1 and 195 lbs. He's done as well as we could hope for, but he isn't winning it all for us. We should thank him for getting us on the right track, but other than that, I don't know what to tell you.

That should have been 6, no question. He had some deeper throws that were money tonight, but this miss was really bad and very costly.

35 minutes ago, Thatguy said:

For that to be 6 he would've had to throw it over the opposite shoulder. You know.....how he did in the ez to the same receiver that couldn't track it. You guys are nothing if not predictable.

Honestly, he should use his last year of eligibility and get more snaps.

To be fair, he didn't say using his last year of eligibility at Texas. But that point has been covered multiple times before. Most agree Quinn is encouraged to move on, or if he were allowed to stay, he would have to compete for the position. I don't see Sark annointing him the starter at the expense of Arch Manning or even the message it would send to future recruits. Conventional wisdom says if the competition is close, you go with the new talent with the higher ceiling.

He's no where close to top 3 QB, lmao at you even suggesting that....

Layne, Street, Vince, colt......all fucking better....he's a distance 4th at best. So stfu

You even suggesting he's easily a top 3 QB in program history just shows how fucking delusional you Quinn fan boys are

Quinn has been great for the program in that he got a lot of recruits to come with him when he transferred (hello Xavier Worthy), but the fact is that Texas will be a better team without him.

It's ride or die with Quinn, fellas. That's just the way it is.

I’m not so sure about that.  We were in the playoff regardless of today’s outcome.  It’s win or go home from here on out, and while it certainly has felt Sark passed on many an opportunity to make a change this season, I think underperformance in a playoff game might just be the impetus

Why though? If he’s going to turn the ball over multiple times a game, just give the ball to the Freshman. I’m sure he could manage a couple of bone head picks too. I love Quinn. What are we doing here though? Protecting feelings or winning championships? If we’re just here to protect Quinn’s plummeting draft stock, cool. I won’t get too invested in a deep run.

It's a screen pass. That was the call. It was never meant to go downfield.

Are we talking about the same play? No linemen went down field in the gif and only one pulled to the right and he never went forward.

No shit.  In terms of actual production when it matters, I'd rather have Ehlinger over Quinn

Your idiocy knows no bounds. Both throws were wildly inaccurate such that the shoulder he threw to was completely irrelevant. He was short and wide on both and Moore couldn't get so much as a finger on either one.

Again. You don't know what you are looking at. First throw was inaccurate. OT throw was thrown away from the DB but Moore was looking to the side the DB was on. If he was reading DB positioning he would look over that shoulder. How else do you think QBs execute back shoulder throws? You throw the receiver open.

Quinn is not "easily" top 3. No fucking way anyone is putting him ahead of the VY, Colt, Street trio. And Bobby Layne was certainly better if you adjust for the era, but those comparisons get pretty tricky given how different the game looks now.

But to say that Quinn is appreciably better than the Ehlinger, Major, Simms tier is just wish casting. He has some physical traits that are better, but he's also been surrounded by some pretty elite talent (and two stout defenses) these last couple of years.

This fanbase was calling for Ehlinger to leave.

I would’ve loved to have seen Sam with Sark for a year. Casey Thompson was great in the bowl game but clearly wasn’t the guy for Sark.

He threw a single pick. The other ball hit Bond in both hands. The defense didn't play well when we needed them to.

Dude, that throw was terrible. It was a creampuff throw to the edge. Bond did him zero favors fighting for it after it was tipped into the air, though, but it was very ill-advised to be thrown in first place.

It's reactionary nonsense.
We will also likely get our NFL LT back for the playoffs. We can beat anybody and I would still have us as one of the top 3 favorites to win it all with our defense.

I don’t think Goosby has been bad filling in.

I could see some QB desperate P4 team throw a stupid amount of money at Quinn to portal and use his last year of eligibility. If his draft grade is day 3, he might be smart to take it.

Quinn is a celeb and I think he has a strong arm. Maybe he’s best suited for programs with lesser expectations and pressure?   I think Quinn could start for 85% of fbs programs next year.  I don’t believe the spotlight suits him

Sam probably wrecks this Georgia team with his running ability.

It's super easy for you to tell me that I don't know what I'm looking at but that doesn't make it true. Literally nobody on here has said they agree with basically anything you are saying about these throws. You're not some well schooled student of the game. You're just a stan.
