I was about to say those are pretty good numbers. Tick the completion % up a tad and he’s playing really well. Looking at you wingo.

You're expecting a coach, who twice tried passing on third and short, only to fail, then decided to pass on third and short again the next time, to change his ways. That may be a tall task.

If this fucking dipshit calls another slowe ass developing reverse play with this OL that has never shown the ability to hold blocks long enough for a play like that to work someone needs to tackle his dumb ass on the sideline.

I can't find the post from another thread, but I think @Thatguy is right. We're doing this all wrong with Arch.

I know he came here for Sark's NFL-esque offense. But right now, he's pretty shitty at all that stuff. His timing sucks, struggles with play action, we're playing bunched 12 personnel all the time and depending on too many rhythmic passing plays. While playing behind one of the shittiest OLs I can remember.

Simplify everything. Spread it out. Embrace off-schedule plays/throws. If he needs to see guys open in order to throw it, then get him out of the fucking pocket to create. Honestly, it reminds me of the VY situation with Mack/GD.

If it pisses off the Manning family, so be it. Do they want him to be successful, or continue to struggle in a style that he's clearly not ready for while getting killed in the pocket?

Both sides are right.

We want to win, and Arch needs to play like VY / Colt / Tebow / Cam (but slide, Son... Quick putting your head and shoulders on a platter)

The Manning wasn't him to learn to play pro ball now, not learn in the pros. Learn now , then perfect / iterate.

I need to see a better angle of that play. I couldn’t tell if it was double coverage or just Wingo’a guy leaving his assignment to break on that ball after it was thrown. I want to see where that second defender was and what they were doing right before the ball was thrown.

Bracket. It was double covered.

Seeing these reverse plays makes me want to photoshop a dildo under Sark’s ass when he is squatting down because it’s fucking stupid and ridiculous.

It doesn’t matter if it was double coverage, he beat it and the ball was perfectly thrown.

It bounced off of Livingstone’s hands.

How about our receivers catch the fucking ball when the QB hits them in the hands, in stride?

Seemed to be a problem quite a few times today.

Such an easy concept, but seems to be easier for trolls (like the one you responded to) to blame it on the QB

Lol. Of all the balls that got dropped yesterday this wasn't the one to bitch about. That ball was high and into double coverage. Parker jumped, got his legs clipped from under him, and saw his life flash before his eyes. Dude is a freshman. It would've been an extremely tough catch, but hey, at least he left his feet and went up for it. We should really focus our attention to the diva in the number 1 jersey. That's who we should be bitching about. 13 made a few tough catches yesterday. Meanwhile 1 is out there like

My mind goes lots of interesting places at random times but I can’t say that watching bad football has ever led me to wanting to see that.

Any kind of delayed handoff in the modern game is just asking for a loss, but trying one on short yardage is pure idiocy. Coach, step away from the chalkboard, please. Start thinking.

Maybe Sark should've tried running the ball on 3rd and very short to take pressure off Arch.

FTFY

We had less than 100 yards rushing 2 weeks in a row and won both games because of the QB, D and punt returner.

And no running game. Also, worst performance by our defense in a while.

This was eating me up. The color idiot kept saying that MSU had stifled our running game. No. We did, Mr. Brilliant Football Analyst Hired to Add Something Insightful.

Never running for a first on third down has become the new always go for it on fourth instead of kicking the FG or maintaining field position. You must make first downs to establish a running game. You have to stick with a running game to set up play action. On third and 2 or 3 after two running plays, you kill any groove you're getting into by always fucking throwing it thinking you're fooling anybody.

We have a QB who is terrible at simple short passes. He throws maximum velocity cannonballs that are generally inaccurate and extremely hard to field. (I'm all for the Arch lovefest after yesterday's 4th quarter. I think I felt better about this win more than any other so far this season. It saved the season.) The one time he threw a ball to lead the receiver was on the first pass play to the sideline. That's what that play should look like but has only looked that way one time.

Work. On. Sustaining. A. Ground. Attack.

We have big OL. Sometimes they can run block. Wisner is hard to keep from getting a few yards. The pass plays with open receivers who should make first downs are not well executed. It doesn't matter if they are well designed and called if execution is a failure. We don't have a run game because we reject having it not because we're getting stuffed every play.

I would say he looked better, I would even say he looked good. But for the first three quarters he made a lot of bad plays, too. But yes he absolutely deserves kudos for that late game performance.

Yes. He carried the load as QB in the fourth quarter. Yet another corner he may have turned. I hope the concussion doesn't block him from remembering it. Bravo Arch!

However, Arch should be hot wired and delivered a shock every time he throws deep to the left side of the field to Wingo. It's his favorite pass. It almost never works. Stop fucking doing it and find a route that may actually work.

Is there a reason Niblett isn't playing Wingo's position?

We will win both games with Caldwell as the starter.  Then there will be a huge QB controversy, with former Applewhite devotees calling for the plucky Caldwell to start because all he does is win and Simms mavens saying that Arch should start because of his massive physical talent.

No I expect average QB play. Not throwing dirt balls on screen plays out wide.

He threw a perfect pass out wide on literally the first fucking play from scrimmage.
