Mitchell is still a work in progress offensively. Don't think our offense should run through him. Needs to just be a slasher/crashing the boards.

Agreed. Mitchell is a complimentary player without any reliable offensive game at this point.

Zero shot. Other than an alley-oop, it's really playing 4 on 5 offensively.

Shedrick has been an incredible pickup. He’s very consistent in his play, just need disu back and we will be fine. Abmas is just streaky, he was streaky at oru too but when he gets hot he will drop 30.

On that Abmas layup…they banged the backboard. Is that allowed?

No but he made it so they didn’t blow their whistle. I’m assuming they would have if he missed it or given the spirit of fucking Texas by refs they probably wouldn’t have.

So the trend of teams making threes against us continues. Just crazy.

I don't mind the strategy really. Louisville is #307 in 3 point shooting and were #228 in 3 point shooting last year.

They're a terrible 3 point shooting team but were 4/7 in the 1st half. The strategy against Louisville the last 2 years has been to just let Louisville jack 3s but they're hitting them today.

Disagree.  Their guards lived in the paint that half.  Keep them out.  Take your chances that they won't hit 57% BTA for the whole game.

We give up too many open looks because we hedge too hard. Both inside and on the perimeter.

I would also say a lot of the penetration happened from either miscommunication on the hedge or creating issues after a switch.

Agreed, but it does seem like teams that suck at 3s somehow get hot when they play Texas, then go back to sucking the next game.

3 point D has been fine.

Incarnate Word 4/23, Delaware State 3/9, Rice 4/22. A bad 3 point shooting team just hit them in the 1st half.

Getting boned on the officiating. 11-2 FT discrepancy right now.

There were some soft calls in that 1st half.
