Some good bullpen work today. *knock on wood*

the wood must have been fake...

I'm sure there are some analytics on LeClerc that say he's awesome and we'd be stupid to let him go but do we have to keep doing this?

I spoke way too soon. I hope we don’t keep doing this.

And I was going to respond to your comment yesterday about you feeling less worried about things now with me feeling that way about LeClerc. But it's not the playoffs/World Series any more. The worry about him has returned.

Seems even more amazing now how the Rangers survived such a shitty bullpen last year to win a Championship. LePew is back to normal. Rangers still need to get a semi legit closer somewhere.

if it comes down to it we have two break glass in case of emergency guys in robertson and yates who have experience and success closing games and a third in sborz who might have the makeup to be a closer we could trot out there in the 9th until we make a trade for someone.

Sborz was money early season and the playoffs but I'd assume they like to keep him as a setup/reliever -- where he's flourished, outside of injuries.

Early 2023 and postseason totals per DMN were 36 2/3 innings, 0.74 ERA, 46 strikeouts, 8 walks, 14 hits allowed. 23 of 26 outings were scoreless.

Maybe he can mentor LeWildThing at least.

I was unfamiliar with the pitcher we’re facing tonight, so I looked into him a little. He was picked up in a trade from the Dodgers, he has a small sample size in the majors, but it’s impressive. In 42 innings last year, he had 38 strikeouts to just 5 walks with an ERA of 2.14 and a WHIP of 0.76.

We definitely need to take advantage of opportunities when they’re presented. Bruce probably saw these stats (and much more) and immediately called Leody into his office with some ‘fuck you’ news.

Only bad part is having to watch 3 games there.

We went to a game last summer before going to Clearwater and it was the worst professional sports atmosphere I've ever witnessed.  We left early and thought we'd see the sting ray on the way out, and someone spilt a beer in the pool, so it was put away. Straight ass.
