cannot believe that russ made such a heady decision there. deadass. i was sure he was going to try and get to the basket himself. smart play, and an unusually heady decision.

Old Russ would have gone straight to the basket for a flailing, "maybe they'll call a foul" layup attempt.

Yeah that was just dumb.  And it cost them the game.

All time dumbshit move. I get fouling up 3, but for fuck's sake, let whatever time you can burn off.

OKC is probably still going to win this series, but tonight is why the notion of anyone other than Jokic as the real MVP is highly suspect.

And that's not a knock against SGA. Jokic is just on another planet when it comes to putting a team on his back. Dude's bringing it for 48 minutes.

The SGA dunk was pretty dumb, too.

They were up 1. Take the guaranteed 2. What’s the other option, dribble around for 2 extra seconds and then shoot free throws? Give me the dunk 100 out of 100 times.

Gordan could never make any threes early in his career with the Magic.

He was over 40% from 3 this season.

Hah, .271 his first year for the Magic

Looks like he did get a little better as the years went on.

I'm seriously beside myself at how idiotic that was on OKC's part. Who the fuck tries to extend the game up 3? The more I think about it, the more I'm glad they lost. They really deserved to.

Shaq asking Jamal Murray while he's celebrating a huge win what he's going to say to himself after a 6-16 performance when he knows the team needs more from him to win...

WTF? Like Murray was James Harden out there. Shaq sucks at this.

I’ve never seen him move like that before. Could tell he really wanted this one

The Thunder fouling Gordon with 10 seconds left 80 feet from the hoop was hilarious.

Fouling when Denver was out of timeouts and had Jokic on the bench, like how regarded can you get? I'd fucking fire that coach into the sun. Inexcusable.

Idk. SGA at the line gets 2 points 81% of the time.

He could have taken more than 2 seconds off. There was no one in his zip code.

I think part of it is OKC doesn’t really have any bigs defenders that wear on you like the Clips and Wolves have. Easier to run when you’re not getting bodied constantly.

career 85% in the playoffs. So that drops it down to 72% chance he makes both. Take the dunk all day long.

OKC made their mistakes defensively by fouling instantly on inbounds play down the stretch. And obviously Holmgren missing 2.

You don't watch many Nuggets games, then.

joker jumping up and down defending the inbounder then turning around and face guarding 4 other guys? yea never seen him move like that

Home teams 0-3 so far in the conference semis.

Seems being rested by easily winning the first series isn’t doing the home team any favors

What the what??? I stopped paying attention when I saw OKC go up like 99-88.

Funny enough so did my espn gamecast/box score on the app. It froze at like 98-88 with 9 and change left in the 4th all the way through to the end of the game.

The photoshops/gone fishin segments are still good.   Everything else is extremely stale.   Especially the running to the board.   Its worse because Kenny acts like a bitch anytime one of the others beat him

Jokic is too strong for either Hartenstein or Holmgren. He can bully either one right into the basket. OKC doesn’t want to double but I’d take my chances with the other guys knocking down shots. They need a bigger body on him and they just don’t have one.

After Zubac for 7 games, those 2 are a cakewalk. Neither has the strength or girth of Zubac

Who's nervier after G1 - OKC or Boston?

Has to be the Thunder, right? As bad as that Celtics collapse was.

Do the Celtics shoot that badly again? How hurt/“sick” is KP?

100%. Boston's not scared of New York whatsoever. And they've been down in a playoff series many, many times with that core. They know if they even shoot below average from 3, they almost certainly win.

OKC is a young team playing the best player in the world, now knowing they have to win at least one game in Denver.

When do we start asking if J Dub is good enough to be a robin? OKC goes about as far as he shows up. They’re not gonna get shooting nights from caruso had last night while J Dub goes 5-20 with below average 3 pt shooting so far these playoffs. Dub is great when it’s December 19th against the Raptors.

Chet works as a decent gimmick player nobody can put a hand in his face but he still shoots like 45% which isn’t good for a 7+ footer

Wiggins, Wallace and Joe, OKCs vaunted depth were a complete non factor

Counterpoint would be this is probably the best Knicks team in 25 years and now they're feeling themselves. MSG is going to be rocking and wouldn't be shocked if they get a little ref help to at least extend this thing.

I still like the Celtics but they instantly have a series on their hands.

How OKC comes out G2 is going to tell us a lot.

Chet is much more than a gimmick player lol. He had 4 blocks and a swipe last night. The missed dunk and missed throws were bad but that was a team loss.

I think the answer is OKC for sure. Boston won the title last year, Cleveland is a legit competitor in the East this season, and everyone wanted to pencil in OKC to the finals before the playoffs started. That’s less pressure overall on Boston imo.

I meant on offense. Stretch big with a weird frame but if he’s not making the defense honest with his 3 pt shot, what does he add on offense?

OKCs big 3 has a Batman and a couple of question marks as robin. And no robin if they lose to Denver
