I'M NOT SAYING WE'RE THE 90S BULLS WE COULD JUST AS EASILY BE THE 00S SPURS

Dude shut the fuck up.

You're right.  All great teams have the entire 9 man rotation stay together for the entire time.

I was wrong.  Kawhai Leonard, David Robinson, and Tim Duncan all played together the entire time.

Bronny and Flagg in iso - Bronny actually plays some pretty good D - jars the ball loose but gets called for a foul.

Dallas inbounds the ball right back to Flagg. He wastes zero time and hits a 19 foot turnaround straight in Bronny's face.

This kid is a fucking savage.

He also tried to bang on someone from like 10 feet out - I thought he got fouled but they let it go.

He's going to put up 20 in his sleep next season.

He's 5-15 at the half and Bronny is not an NBA player.  Hitting a turnaround over a guy that's 7 inches smaller isn't a big deal.

I think Flagg is going to be good but let's not start sucking our own dicks just yet.

Aqua spitting some fiery takes. Reminds me of me after 2023.

Well Jokic Murray and Porter are probably better than the early 90s Bulls and they’ll be around for a while so 96-98 Bulls are basically happening too. Jokic is big MJ and Murray puts Pippen to shame, plus all those other guys will be around for multiple years, we’ll just fit any 3 and D guy in as needed. 8 titles inbound!

Where did I say OKC was as good as the 90's Bulls?  I said the Bulls roster had 100% turnover except for Jordan and Pippen.  Go back and read.

Flagg is a menace on D. Very Birdesque the way he is always in the right spot and gets his hands on shit.

Flagg is now Larry Bird.

He's playing in a summer league game against Bronny James and he has....checks notes...10 points on 5-19 shooting.

Now, that's a hot take.

You started off your post by saying, “It's easy to forget that the Bulls roster in the second three peat was completely different from the first” and then said that’s where OKC will be in three years. How else were we supposed to read it?

I mean - are you watching the game?

He's just trying shit out there and isn't shooting the ball well. It happens. 5 boards 3 dimes 3 swipes 0 turns (and he would have more dimes if he was playing with NBA players).

His activity on both ends of the floor is stunning for an 18 year old. It's all-time shit for someone his age.

If you want to short/fade this kid then go ahead. He's going to be a top 10 player by his 3rd season.

You read by understanding, like the Bulls, OKC will have a completely different roster in three years.

Jesus.  It's right there.

Well, most teams will have a completely different roster in 3 years. You’re the one that made the comp to the 90s Bulls, not me

your point of attack defense might take a serious hit if you no longer have Caruso and Dort guarding the other teams best scorers
You mean when Caruso isn't raping Jokic out on the floor?

Don't forget about Scott Foster in the Denver series and game 4 of the Indiana series.
The Thunder were undefeated with Foster in the playoffs. 5-0, I think. 2 of those were against Denver.

Let's be fair. Of course the Thunder are the next coming of the 90's Bulls or the 00's Spurs. What else could they be? Those are the only 2 logical choices.

Let's tone the smugness down a little bit, please. Michael Jordan isn't on your team and you just got taken to 7 in two series  and debatably needed a torn Achilles to get you the title.

I agree. Im ready for the historians to just put a * by OKCs championship.

Dude - I don't draft the CBA or negotiate media deals or set the cap.

That 70 figure kicks in in 2028.

If you think Book isnt worth the max number - for Phoenix, especially - then I can't help you.

I dont think it was worth giving him a max extension when he still had 3 yrs left.    I'm all for players getting their money but that is basically the same deal that Dame signed a few yrs back and everyone said it was one of the worst contracts in the league basically the second the ink dried.

I can’t tell if coopers big or not lol

He looks huge next to Bronny but tiny next to any PF/C

Some of the Cs last night were long as fuck.   Not surprised that he might look a little small next to them.    He played OK.   Its summer league though.   No one really cares unless he was absolute trash.   He wasnt.   He was confident and fit athletically.    He will be fine.   I think DAL and everyone saw enough and I would be surprised if he plays again in the SL.

Yeah I'm very comfortable with the Bird/Bron comps.

I'm not as high on him as you are, but I do think he's going to be a special player. I don't see either of those two in him. Lebron was a physical freak of nature since he was like 12 years old. Bird was an offensive machine with impeccable instincts. Flagg is one of those guys where the ball just somehow always magically finds him. I don't know how much of an offensive mismatch he's going to be, but I do know that he is going to impact the game pretty much everywhere. John Havlicek was the best comp I could come up with - a guy who does everything and impacts winning everywhere.

Dallas is going to be an interesting rebuild. Before the inexplicable Doncic disaster, I thought Nico Harrison did an unbelievable job remaking that roster. They had a bad cap situation, very little draft capital, and he shrewdly managed to put together a team that made it to the finals. Other than the Grant Williams deal (that he quickly rectified), he made one great move after another. He took a relatively terrible roster that was a poor fit around Luka and completely remade it. I thought he was one of the best GM's in the league until he temporarily went insane.

It's not the scoring, the fact he was actually shooting is a good thing, while not forcing it.

He forced nothing. Only had 1 turnover I believe and did a bit of everything.

I'm not sure he'll be an offensive threat, but he'll be a guy that impacts the game on both sides consistently

Very reasonable on both sides.  Nice to see not some huge hyperbole.

And your second paragraph is what makes me so angry about Nico.  You're right...over the last 2 years Nico did an amazing job retooling the team around luka and that team, if healthy, was the only REAL threat other than Denver to take down OKC honestly.  And the dumbass went insane one night.

bro are you for real?

After all these years, I'm still fascinated that he thinks this kind of shit helps his immediate situation or his reputation, rather than just making him look bitch made. Windhorst+Shelburne basically means this came straight out of Bron's mouth.

Bruh, you're 40 years old, making $60M per, and they drafted your son for you. What else do you want? The ONLY chance you have at another ring is Luka coming in to camp in the best shape of his life and carrying the team on his back, letting you pick your moments.

LeBron also forced Westbrook onto the team over derozan.   He also handpicked the hc.  Fuck that old man.  Please leave so we can use your salary on someone else

Lebron has to be traded for the Lakers to get anything out of him, but he has a NTC, and the amount of teams willing to take on his salary for 1 year is pretty limited. I don't think the Lakers will be better off without him next year, because they don't have the assets to trade him for someone transformational like Giannis. They are stuck with him for the foreseeable future. The best thing they could do is placate him, and have him go recruit cheap vets that want to play in LA. Chris Paul, Beal, Horford, Westbrook, Taj Gibson, etc. Lots of guys out there that could help this team make it through the regular season, while enjoying the lifestyle of being in LA.

Plus LeBron won’t go to a team that’s gutted so you’re not gonna get any talent back for him.  Maybe draft picks?

they’re stuck this year but next year that salary slot will get a big FA

i’m admittedly not an nba guy, but i’ve never understood why danny wolf was just seen as some JAG by apparently every team in the league.

I love the guy..... I wanted the Spurs to trade back in the first and take him.  He can be a really nice big off the bench and eventually develop into a really nice starter.  His skillset at his size is very rare, even if his athleticism is only average.

I say this without any bias, Harper looks 10x better than Flagg

Harper got that shot off on him, but that post didn’t age well in a single game.  Flagg was far and away best player on the court.  Need to pull him now so he doesn’t pull a Chet.

I like the Flagg/Havlicek comparison.  But for me, it’s Philly Iguodala mixed with GS Iguodala at the same time with more upside on both ends.  Or Shane Battier with way better counting stats.

I do think it’s more likely he is a consistent all-star/3rd team NBA than transcendent.  But also think he’s going to have his share of rings when all is said and done.

With health, Flagg is going to be a 15-time all star.  Insane that he's only 18 years old.

Dallas' big challenge now is how to effectively build around him and not become the 03-10 Cavs.

I'm not accusing anyone of being racist but I honestly think his skin color and nationality is a serious mental block for a lot of people. Whether it's conscious or subconscious.

He is a fucking freak. People are going to realize it sooner or later but it may take a bit.
