I bet a night with Sabalenka is like getting into a commercial laundry dryer with a mountain cat.

I was kind of thinking that if she has her heart set on you one night just lay back and enjoy it.

Also, did Nike seriously think that purple dress was going to catch on?

It could be a great match, or

AA might get double bageled in two straight Grand Slam finals.

AA looks confident and her game seems to counter Sabalenka well.   Should be a good one.

AA needs to study the Coco method of infuriating Sabalenka - play a clean match and keep chasing down every shot. Eventually Sabalenka will implode in a screaming, sweaty rage. And then everyone wins, really.

Loved the way she closed out that match against Osaka. She's on a mission. And make no mistake - Osaka was playing very well heading into and during that match. Very high quality match.

Sabalenka is one of the most unlikable people on tour and there's almost a 100% guarantee she has a meltdown win or lose because the crowd will be all-in for Anisimova.

Joker is probably done beating either Alcaraz or Sinner.  He's still good enough to win a major if those 2 get eliminated somehow.

Thinking the same.  Wonder if he’s just done after today or hang around longer.  My bet is he’s done.

I said much the same a bit ago.  He’s still damned good but, being #3, 4 or 5 is much different than being Carlos or Sinner.

He looked old towards the end of that Alcarez match. He’s done winning grand slams unless something very odd happens.

I don't think he's hanging it up.  The guy just pulled a Semi-Slam (TM).  He's, from a practical standpoint, a top 3 player in the world.  And I think he wants to see if something odd will happen to get that last trophy.  I honestly hope it does, but they're long odds.

That's been the state of tennis for a while.  Before those two, it was Djokavich and Rafa, and before that Rafa and Roger, and so on.  There's a lot more room between 4--12.  3 seems like always the bridesmaid.

I'm guessing he gives it one more go at each major next year and that is it.  hell he just made the semi's in all 4 majors.

well I think for a good 10 year period 08 to 18 there were all 3 but to your point it will be interesting to see if another 1 or 2 can challenge Sinner/Acaraz over the next decade

45 minutes ago this looked like it would be a triple breadstick blowout.  But AA came storming back and it's 1-1.  Sinner better find a way to slow the Canadian down.
