You’d think an all world talent 3 years in to the program could put some touch on the ball at this point in his career. Might fuck up progressions or pre snap reads but a basic touch pass? He should have that now.

Yea, some of those misses were Quinn's bread and butter. Maybe don't rocket it to your receiver's feet when he's 5 yards away.

Good luck. All the gates at dfw are full and on a first come first served basis per our pilot. Been sitting on the tarmac waiting for an open gate for an hour. I’d be surprised if 50% of the plane makes their connection.

Ugh. That's frustrating. She's got a 5 hour layover so that should give her enough time. Should being the key word. Lol

This was all on Arch and Sark didn’t help. Once again we have a third year 5-star quarterback under Sark who seems to be getting worse. I still have hope Arch will get better and be ready for Georgia but Sarks Texas’ qb track record isn’t great.

And if it isn’t Arch, then we need to give someone else a go.  At a minimum, we should let other guys play more in the next three games.  With this defense, we just need a competent qb who can make some passes and run the ball when needed.

what then is the problem?

is the five star RS sophomore qb who's mechanics have somehow regressed to the point they are so bad he hit a barn? the red zone play calling?  something else?

Just took a good look at the final stats and they’re highly maddening. We outrushed them by 100 yards, and also had more passing yardage.

the penalties were the biggest difference maker, both in helping them continue their first td drive and in offsetting would-be safety.  And baker’s false starts did a decent job of stalling drives as well.

The only reason they held in the end zone is because of the hands to the face, it wasn't like it the hands to the face was on the other side of the line or something.

How is Arch getting worse? When was he good vs a defense worth a shit?

Sark can only call plays, it's up to the players to execute...I can't tell you who failed the most, but it's obvious they both failed tonight. But let's play your game and fire Sark just to hire our own Elko once again.. fuck your mom's big nose

We ran quarterback delayed draws

There was no delay in those at all.  Likely one of many signs that Arch was too amped up.  He was moving almost before the snaps hit his hands on the draws.

They need to teach Arch how to run the sneak. It is a skill. Tom Brady was a statue but had like a 90% success rate on them. OSU stacked the middle but no one was off the LG. Run that way.

Maybe a QB who couldn't hit a single throw tonight? And a wr room who couldn't get open? Arch had plenty of time tonight, so you tell me what was the problem.. I am really interested in making fun of your ideaplay calling

WHAT THE FUCK HAPPENED!? 7 months and our supposedly offensive genius HC and his 5 star qb that's been on campus for two years manage a single touchdown against a team breaking in a new DC?

FML.  Sark peaked in September of 2023. We've done jack shit against anybody with a pulse since then.

Agree with your wife. Grow some balls.

Arch's issue weren't about the redzone. They were about his inability to throw the ball anywhere near his receiver. We win going away with Sayin. I'm sorry you're in denial. Whether Sark should have schemed the game differently or not is irrelevant. As schemed, it was winnable if the QB play is even halfway to competent.

I'm not in denial, you are in denial.

Sark had the same end results with the previous QB at Texas as he had with Arch. In order for your hypothesis to be true, you would have to acknowledge that Sayin is superior to Ewers. You won't, because you don't, or hell maybe you do.

In order the things you cannot blame for this loss…..

Sark and play calling

The defense

The O Line

The running game

That leaves the wide receivers and the QB and I don’t think the WR’s were the issue.

ESPN added "inaccurate on 37% of throws" at the end of Arch's stat line on the crawl.  Ouch.

Don't take this the wrong way, but it's already been posted a gazillion times already.

Whether that stat is accurate has also been questioned, but I don't think the theme of Arch suffering game jitters is wrong.

Ewers would have won today too.   It would have looked a lot like his Alabama game. Sark had problems with Ewers, but he didn't have the same problems. You're a hammer and everything looks like a nail to you right now. While, redzone play calling is an issue, it wasn't the primary issue today. I guarantee if you just watch all of Arch's throws back-to-back-to-back, you'll agree. He was the problem today. And that's ok. I think he'll get better.

You know what's worse than mediocrity?  A fan base that accepts mediocrity. For the money that was put into what was displayed today,  heads should roll.  A bunch of kids on that field made more today than any of you will this year and you are making excuses for their shitty performance.

Our receivers were not getting clearance enough to make plays…perhaps OSU had something to do with that….but, our receivers have to drop the DBs.

Zone read, toss sweep, counter, roll arch to the right, motion, plenty of option. Not that bullshit

And at which time did arch actually make this simple play?

OSU played good defense. But the receivers got open and Arch missed them. They weren't consistently open, but they were a lot of plays to be made that Arch missed, badly.

If you are talking about the QB sneak I would say just about any other play in the book. They had barely converted it earlier in the game.  I don’t pretend to know anything but when you are in tempo at the goal, it’s about the safest bet for the defense to set up for.
But, you are right that not much was working today.

I've not at any point said Arch's play wasn't a problem. I differ from you in that I hold the head coach partially responsible for the performance a QB who has been on campus for three years.

Not sure if you missed it, but consistent red zone issues are a known problem for Sark. Its curious you say not scoring a TD in the RZ was not a problem when we lost by 7. I differ from you in that I expect a head coach to address known issues with his game plan and hold him accountable when he refuses to do so.

The body of evidence differs with your hypothesis that we win this with Quinn when the last game we played, against the same opponent, Quinn was playing and the results were actually worse.
