JBrown on fire. 27 in first half.

fucking ridiculous half. him and Sam Hauser

Wolves won but coughed up a 12 pt lead in 2 min again. inexcusable bull shit, or we're sitting at like 13-6. those losses will be the difference between the play in and the 6 seed unless we go on some crazy run.

If Minnesota can't edge out Golden State and Phoenix for the 6 seed, they're not winning a playoff round anyway.

Clippers are legitimately bad, even with The Nephew and the Strip Club MVP putting up numbers.  They're 0-4 since the The Nephew came back from his latest "injury."  Had the most winnable games in a long time playing bad Memphis and Dallas teams at home.  Lost both.  The next 5 are all on the road.

That's about to get ugly fast.

OKC has their pick.

I can’t hate CP3 as much as I used to after his year in SA. His career was marred by never having great enough teammates and/or consistently getting injured at the worst possible time. But as far as point guards go, depending on whether you define Curry and Harden as point or shooting guards, he’s probably top 5 all time: Magic, Stockton, Kidd, Isiah and that nut punching whiny asshole Chris Paul. He’s also, as far as I can tell, the last of a dying breed of true table setting pass first point guards. You just don’t see guys play like him anymore, and it’s kind of a shame the way the game has evolved to eliminate that style of player.

@ztejas point about him always making his teams better is a great one too. It’s pretty remarkable how he elevated every team he played for (notwithstanding that one weird year in GS). For a guy who never really won anything, he’s in a certain respect one of the great winning players in the game.

I don't know who you kick off of that list, but Oscar Robertson has to be on there. Averaged 25.7/7.5/9.5 with 9X NBA first team and an MVP.  I'd probably boot Isiah, because he's a whiny bitch.

this post is less about jalen johnson, and more about the fact that it feels like a nightly occurrence to see tweets like this about all sorts of players from all over the league. austin reaves, jalen johnson, kon knueppel, kel’el ware, tyrese maxey, cade cunningham, josh giddey, etc, etc, etc, i could keep going for awhile. does it feel to anyone else like half of the nba is putting up video game numbers every single night? this feels like the steroid era of basketball to me. i don’t recall ever seeing this many players putting up these types of obscene stat lines.

its now part of their culture. pure bullshit basketball. Yea OKC is legitimately 20-1 without their 2nd best player for 90% of thes eason? Pass the bullshit. This is the most mickey mouse fabricated fake team I've ever seen.  but its their culture. 3 players ran over to help out their fallen bullshit master artist. It's all encouraged now. Nobody has a problem with it so long as it works.

I hope they all feel dirty with the pure BS they pull on offense while hand checking everybody with physical defense on the opposite end and getting away with it. but they dont mind, no morals

fuck em. again.

zach edey tonight: 32 pts, 17 reb, 5 blk. zach edey. you used to have to be hakeem to do that. you used to have to be steph to do what peyton pritchard did tonight. shit is wild, yo.

I celebrate their entire catalog. I want to see them finish just above the Pelicans in the standings.

When everyone is putting up numbers the stats lose their luster. Good for Jalen Johnson, but again when so many guys can put up stats in the hyperfast era of the NBA it is not really a big deal. It's just normal and eventually teams that have to pay these guys for doing the new normal will figure it out and adjust accordingly. Austin Reaves is going to get paid well, but his stat line is inflated if for no other reason than he's quite the free throw merchant.

I did not watch this game, but I recognized maybe half those guys playing for New Orleans when I looked at the score against the Lakers. I did not know Bey was still in the league. Someone has to score on bad teams so might as well be him I guess. Looks like Luka and Reaves went foul hunting with 26 free throws combined.

"James Harden but good in the playoffs" is going to make for an interesting legacy. This shit is always going to be the first thing people think of, not how legitimately great he is.

It still boggles the mind that the NBA hasn't done anything to combat something that's clearly harmful to the sport. Everyone embellishes and flops a little, that ship has sailed. But this shit where you're making absolutely no effort to make a basketball move or put the ball in the basket...it's embarrassing and bitch made.

in 10 years kids will look at michael jordan’s stats and say, “deni avdija used to do that every night, who cares?”

seriously. wtf is happening with the most random players dropping video game numbers every single night? his stat line is only partially explained by his insane 19/22 ft/fta line.

Bookers a Dbag but good to see a star player step up and say what every fanbase says about that team.

Shai didn't even take the most FT's in that game.  What's his nuts took 23 and SGA only took 12.  Meanwhile, in the Lakers games, Luka took 14 and Reaves took 12.

Shai isn't even the league leader in FTA's.  That would be, yes, Luka.  Giannis is #2.  Shai is #3 and Reaves is right behind him.

Don't let the actual numbers get in the way, though.

How average is SGA if they called offensive initiated contact an offensive foul?  He wouldn't have lasted 5 mins in some of the early Olympic competitions where running over your defender was frowned on instead of rewarded.

All the inflated numbers are because of the way the games are officiated. The numbers are broken because they don’t let you play defense anymore. *

It's not the number of attempts. It's how they're being collected. Stop being obtuse.

Oh, so he's different from literally everyone else?  He's the only one that flops?

You watch SGA, Luka, Giannis, and AR play and honestly think the calls they get are the same?

You're arguing with the most biased poster re: the Thunder on this board.

I know you don't actually need this explained to you...again...but...

There's a difference between feeling slight contact and embellishing or flopping...

and non-basketball moves designed to initiate the contact, act like you got shot--sometimes even when the planned contact doesn't happen--and making no effort whatsoever to make a basket.

You can't honestly tell me that SGA isn't guilty of the latter more than anyone in the league by a wide margin. So instead of appreciating him for bringing back the mid-range, this shit--that, unlike Harden, his game doesn't even need--is what people talk about.

this was the first time i really noticed SGA, his freshman/only year at UK. he was so badass. totally took over the game and was the best player on the court. i was such a big fan of his…just like i was at one point with russ and harden. i really wish he would cut this shit out so that i could remove him from that list and just admire his game again. he’s such a badass, it’s so unnecessary for him to pull this crap every time out.
