ALCS: Astros vs. Red Sox

You could have probably beat the Astros in a fairly called series, but we will never know.

Keep in mind Alex Cora was ejected from Game 1 because the strike zone discrepancy was so bad.

Calls go both ways. Yes, a majority have “probably” gone the way of the Red Sox, but the Astros as a team are screwing themselves more than the Joe West/MLB conspiracy is.

No question. Astros are playing terribly, but, consistently, theyve settled into that after uneven umpiring. Today, early, Astros hitters are still getting on base. A lot of bad strikes are called. They start swinging at bad pitches. Now the Astros are done.

Its also interesting that you avoided this reply when JD's ill gotten home run was your only score. Thats because you agreed with me then. The problem, even after Devers 3 run shot that caused you to come back here, is that bad umping led to that 3 run shot. Even as the umps settled down, Sox expect to be able to tee off, while Astros expect to be called on bullshit. Its why I said congrats to you before that JD HR even happened. The Astros simply werent going to be allowed to win this game.

So again. Congrats. You bought players. You bought a league. A modern day Jerry Jones without a salary cap. Feel good, I guess. Top 3 payroll should win once every 3 years.

First off the game isn't over but if it were damn Fondren you are being  a bitch.  Yea there have been a few iffy calls but a 4-1 series loss isn't the result of some unfair far reaching fix....

Sox won 2 legit. Might have won 4. But we dont know. And this game was a total fix. 100%.  Watch what happens to the umping if the Astros get a couple runs. Same as how it started.

You can’t honestly believe that there is a conspiracy to have the Sox win, can you?

I watched the first 4 innings of this game, so yes. And this is exactly how it works.  When the favored team starts swinging free and the unfavored team is unsure, start calling it clean and everyone will think it always was.

In the 4th inning of this game, even Red Sox fans were saying it was being called unfairly.  Now those same fans, while maybe continuing to admit the first 4 were unfair, will insist it doesnt affect the last 5.

But the umps set the tone, heavy handily, in the last 2 games. And in spite of last games interference call, this game was much more poorly called overall. Hard to believe it isnt intentional. Maybe  this game is retaliation for Houston fans hating on that HR call and had nothing to do with a desire for a Boston win. Still, it happened. Houston wasnt going to be allowed to win tonight.
