This is the kind of training that NATO and the US needs.

For the first time in NATO's history, the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine led, planned, coordinated, and managed the opposing force (OPFOR) during the REPMUS/Dynamic Messenger 25 exercises held in Portugal.

The training incorporated modern trends in naval warfare, particularly the use of unmanned systems for coordinated strikes and rapid response to emerging threats.

This year's exercises combined REPMUS - the world's leading event in maritime robotics and unmanned technologies - with Dynamic Messenger (DYMS), which is part of NATO's series of operational exercises.

During the exercises, unmanned platforms were integrated into the DELTA combat system used by the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The integration was carried out according to the new NATO standard STANAG 4817, the testing of which was also one of the key goals of the exercise - namely, to verify interoperability, test unmanned systems under various conditions (including electronic warfare), and train operators.

Alongside Ukraine, the REPMUS/DYMS 2025 exercises involved naval forces, enterprises, and research centers from 26 partner nations, as well as representatives from NATO's Maritime Command (MARCOM) in Northwood, the NATO Centre for Maritime Research and Experimentation (CMRE), the Laboratory of Underwater Systems and Technologies at the University of Porto (LSTS), and the NATO Maritime Unmanned Systems Initiative (MUSI).

[Q]: Have you made a decision on whether to supply Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine or sell them to NATO and let them sell them to Ukraine?

President Trump: Yeah, I've sort of made a decision, pretty much. I think I want to find out what they're doing with them. You know, where are they sending them. I guess I'd have to ask that question.

I don't know if to use the Rage or Laughing emoji for your rep on this one.

Just when I thought I knew how dumb that sumbitch is, I see this post that proves me wrong.

If he had said something like "well, you know, Tomahawks are not the ideal missile for Ukraine because of the normal launch platforms, so maybe we can sell Tomahawks to our allies who have the capability to use them, and could use them to replace other systems that are better suited for Ukraine, and send those systems to Ukraine" I would have been slightly impressed that he thought that far ahead.

But if Ukraine ends up with them and he finds out where they are going to use them, I could see him telling some reporter "Well you know, Ukraine has those Tomahawks, and they figured out how to use them and they are going to launch them from these locations, and they plan on targeting these targets in Russia so any Russians living there better be careful."

edit: These are the kinds of systems that would be used to launch them on land:

You could give them a fully equipped carrier with no instructions and they’d be bombing the fuck out out Crimea within a few weeks.

Crimea is a weird way to spell Moscow.

If there’s any military on earth where your could drop off a bunch of equipment on the border and say “figure it out” It’s the Ukrainians.

Weren't the Russians gonna sell their shitbox carrier?  A willing middleman/weapons trader could do the funniest thing...

I bet we could find one. I would look in Malta or Athens. Maybe Dubai.

Name it the BevoSki.

Can someone make the UT BEVO flag into a Pirate emblem?

It’s gonna get scrapped. They had too many problems with it.  I don’t think they could really move it anywhere. Hell, the crew is fighting as infantry in Ukraine.

The fire at the Feodosia oil depot, struck by Ukrainian drones on the night of October 6, remains active. Flames have spread to additional storage tanks, with four large ones now at risk. Tanks marked in red were hit in previous strikes, while those in yellow are threatened as the fire risks spreading to two more.

This will hopefully piss off Trump since it's a jab at the US.

A “Moscow Format” meeting is underway in Moscow with Afghan Foreign Minister Amir Khan Muttaqi in attendance, his first visit since Russia officially recognized the Taliban government in July. Lavrov stated that any foreign military infrastructure in Afghanistan is unacceptable and discussed prospects for bilateral relations.

So what percent of Russia's refinery capacity is within Ukrainian range?  How many drones and missiles would it take to visit ALL of those refinerles?

@PTINS may have the numbers, but it's a lot.  And the two refineries on this map below Moscow, and the two near Sochi may have been hit since since this article came out in August.

Ukraine Is Systematically Striking All Major russian Refineries At Distance of Up to 1000 km (Map) | Defense Express

And the Ukrainians are putting pressure all across the oil & gas infrastructure - pipelines, pumping stations, fuel depots (Russia doesn't have as much static storage I believe), refineries, etc., so it's a lot of chaos- even if a refinery is up and running, it may not be able to receive enough to stay running 24/7 or it may not be able to push much downstream if the pumping stations or fuel depots are offline.

And they will fall back to rail, but damage to railways/engines has been happening here and there and Russia can't get their trains too close to Ukraine these days.

Konstantin says that he spoke with a Russian acquaintance who owns a freight company who confirmed that they are not shipping anything right now - - because his trucks can’t buy enough fuel to ship the contracted goods - - and even if they have enough gas to go on a delivery, they may not be able to buy gas to get back.

Is that good? Because that doesn’t seem like it’s a good thing.

Hopefully Russia keeps clowning him.

For whatever reason, he actually understands that wrecking Russia’s oil & gas infrastructure is actually a winning strategy.

Correction. They were fighting as infantry in Ukraine. It's doubtful many are alive today.

This was absolutely brilliant. Ukes knew boot up and target acquisition time on Russian AA, even knew exactly where to hit, and the time it took valves to close. This was Russia's big chemical plant that makes the propellent for rocket engines, and ammonium nitrate for artillery shells.

I saw another recent video describing how Russia is getting a large amount of their artillery shells from North Korea due to Russian inability to manufacture enough on their own, and this is before the destruction of the ammonia facility.

Just like NATO providing older kit to Ukraine, it turns out that North Korea is not willing to give Putin their good stuff, but are instead giving them their older artillery shells.   Apparently 50% of fired Nork shells are duds, rather significantly impacting the effectiveness of Russian artillery.
