A very sound and important decision.  There are lots of MANPADs out there, for example.  And those could prove....tricky.   My expectation is that the west will need a whole 'nother mechanism/group out there buying any surplus ones on the black market, for a premium.  That's right, we'll be buying back our own weapons, and paying top dollar for them.  Which will be much better than the alternative, and is just the way of the world.  War is messy shit, and any expectations of a clean-cut conclusion at any phase of this need to be tempered.

Whoa, whoa, WHOA!

Don't tell me that Ukraine is going to accept North Korean workers to rebuild their country.

Does everyone forget that they were already the most sanctioned country on the planet until Putin told them to hold his beer? Now we're gonna throw them a lifeline?

That is basically slave labor and every dime of the payment goes straight to Kim Jung Fatass's pocket to keep developing Nukes.

Not to mention finding some of that leftover American military hardware while they are there.

Terrible, terrible idea all around. There are thousands of better options than this.

Its the Russian Ambassador to North Korea saying Russia will use Norks to rebuild Ukraine after Russia wins. So...no.

There will be a very high profile conference of Russian dissidents and minority self-determination figures in Prague this weekend “with the quiet agreement of the Czech state.”

According to the program provided to Seznam Zprávám by the organizers, among the event's guests will be world-famous personalities of the anti-Putin resistance - for example, former deputy of the Russian Duma Ilya Ponomaryev, who was the only one from the lower house of the Russian parliament to vote against the Russian annexation of Crimea in 2014.Today he lives in exile in Ukraine and even fights in the Ukrainian army against the soldiers of his native country. The former Foreign Minister of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin and the famous Chechen exile leader and warrior Ahmed Zakayev will also come.

Czechs will also buy 24 F-35s.

The government of Petr Fiala (ODS) addressed several important military issues at its Wednesday session in the House of Representatives.

One of them was the future of the Czech Army Air Force. The lease of the current Swedish gripens ends in 2027, and it is necessary to decide as soon as possible which fighters the Czech Republic will buy.

Prime Minister Fiala announced that negotiations will begin for the delivery of two squadrons, i.e. 24 fighters.

"Negotiations with American partners about the acquisition of fifth-generation F-35 supersonic aircraft will begin," he outlined the direction the Czechia intends to take.

Which would create famine and mass refugee issues which is just what RU wants to weaponize.

Seems to me Ukraine has a getting food to market issue not a fertilizer issue at the moment.  I am certain that in time it will be restored but the fastest way to end this conflict is to keep the pressure on Russia.  I doubt this creates a mass migration hysterics but more opportunities for others to get in the business.  Silver lining might be the reduction of the Amazon deforestation.

Or am I way off here?

Not all of Ukraine’s attacks on Russian positions end up circulating on social media like the recent strikes on what Ukraine says are over 30 Russian ammunition depots in the occupied east and south.

There are other, much more discrete operations that Ukraine carries out deep into Russian-occupied territories. Among these low-profile operations was the destruction of a Wagner Group base 45 kilometers east of the front line in Russian-occupied Kadiivka in Luhansk Oblast in early June.

Quote

As a result, the Ukrainian military hit the base with artillery on June 9, killing anywhere between 50-200 mercenaries according to different estimates and destroying their weapons depot.

According to Oleh, many locals knew that the Wagner Group was stationed in the city. “Wagner mercenaries don’t know how to keep their mouths shut,” he says. “They themselves went around and introduced themselves as ‘an orchestra’ or ‘musicians’”

These self-given monikers are references to German composer Richard Wagner whom the group is believed to be named after. “They were telling local girls, ‘we are an orchestra on a tour here,’” says Oleh.
