Heart went into afib during the mri so im stuck here another night.

Im so sick of this shit.

You think YOU'RE sick of this shit?  Why don't you feel sorry for all of those cancer cells in you, who are presently getting their ASSES kicked by chemo and shit?  Man, selfish much?

Seriously, sorry you're stuck there, and that you're probably not even in the mood to make things awkward for any female medical staff.

Cancer gave me afib and pulmonary embolisms.  Now taking Eliquis (blood thinner) and Toprol (lowers heart rate and blood pressure) and will likely need to take them for the rest of my life.  C'est la vie.  Beats the alternative.

If they can’t figure out why you have pulmonary embolisms (i.e., what “provoked” it), you wind up like me - having to take Eliquis for the rest of my life.  My Onc thinks I had Delta variant Covid, because I had a slight fever about eight days before my MRI showing all my PEs - but since I was never covid tested at the time, it’s blood thinners forever.

When I questioned continuing to take it, my doctor told me that 40% of pulmonary embolisms are found on autopsy.   Fuck.  Eliquis it is then.

I will have to take Eliquis for the rest of my life.  My Onc said it is the cancer itself that likely induced the clots.  Did ultrasounds of my legs and nothing there.  Neurologist just said better to take the Eliquis and deal with it.  Lots of fun cutting yourself shaving and having it bleed for 30 minutes.

Had my post surgery appt and initial oncologist appt this week. Pathology confirmed that it is T2 (stage 2 Seminoma testicular cancer). Doctor said this is one of the more favorable outcomes.

To deal with a lymph node spot, I’m doing 4 rounds of EP chemo, starting 7/28. Will get a port put in this upcoming week.

If all goes well, I’ll hopefully be done with this about a week before TX/OU.

Looks like I got my invitation to this club. I felt something weird on my nuts last weekend, got a doc appt immediately, had an ultrasound/blood work…yada yada yada I’m having surgery on Wednesday. Doing a CT and Xray on Monday to see if it has spread anywhere/any other action needed.

On the bright side, I think I caught it early - aside from me calling as soon as I noticed it, I had a vasectomy in March and the doc definitely would have noticed anything abnormal based on the attention my nuts got. I’m feeling positive that I got the “best” one to get, but throw some good vibes my way.

how did you understand the thai tranny 'masseuse' telling you your balls looked weird ?

Breast cancer has entered the chat at my house. Stage 0 but nevertheless.

Wife went through it. Stage 0. They caught it after her very first mammogram. It was more of an inconvenience and pain in the ass than anything. Cost her a right boob and nipple. Gained her a lift on the left and a fake boob on the right. We were at Methodist in Sugar Land for everything.

Surprised that a mastectomy was done.  I’m expecting a lumpectomy and some radiation and get on with life, but all I know is what I’ve read on the internet so far.  Appointment with an oncology surgeon this week.

Just slapped the Zio monitor on.
The first few cycles of chemo had me fooled thinking it would be easy.
Fucking shit has me thinking it will kill me before the cancer has a chance to do it.

Pretty sure that’s the point. Take everything to the brink of death, shove the cancer over the cliff while you teeter on the edge.

She opted for it. She didn’t want to take any chances and it was only the one side. She also did the genetic testing and that came back negative, so keeping lefty was fine. Her right one betrayed her and had to go.

Feel free to message me if you’d like. I’m happy to share.

Yep, sometimes to kill the cancer they have to nearly kill the patient it seems.

The bastards don't even realize they can't kill MIA -- he's already dead on the inside, like a stripper.  A very, very, very unattractive stripper.

I’ve read that a very, very, very unattractive stripper is the most interesting stripper.  Because of the type of jobs that they are forced to accept because of their unattractiveness.   So they wind up beingmuch better luncheon conversation companions, what with the midget, sharpie and donkey stories and so forth..

Oh, 100%.  For conversation, always go with the ugly/unusual stripper.  That's just a good rule of thumb across the board.

I've watched that dude drop $500 at happy hour on a stripper who was never, ever going home with him.  Sad and pathetic.  Like, even more sad and pathetic than MIA.

So - how many packs of cigs did that cost in the joint?     Or was that during your randy prison guard employment phase?
