Let’s see what OU looks like without a Heisman level QB running that offense next year.

We are primed to win 10 plus games next year and should be right there competing for the conference the next two years. That should be easy to sell to recruits.

Billy Beane is the defensive savior we deserve.

People are saying Murray may stay, how is that possible? I would’ve thought his contract would say something about him playing baseball in 2019.

If Murray stays and they get a decent dc then they will be trouble again next year.

Hopefully Floyd pans out and quickly. Need lb help.

Need anybody that can rush the passer.

Play nickel and actually rush Murray instead of trying to contain him. We got to him a few times when we actually attempted a pass rush.

Agreed, You better have JJ Watt and Clowney to get home if you're only rushing three.

An infinitely winnable football game lost by lack of aggressive play calling and execution.

Dime has looked like shit all year and for some reason Orlando kept wanting to come back to it in this game. Wish we would have played Ossai some as well.

The A's would have to approve him playing another year.  He would probably have to forfeit a big chunk of his signing bonus since he they had an agreement before this season.

This is absolutely correct.  He loses a lot of money if he stays. A lot.  Not only for purchasing a renegotiation of his agreement, but also for continuing to subject himself to serious injury.  No way he comes back.  He's an impulsive, spoiled brat, but his parents won't stand for the monumental stupidity that decision would entail.  They want to get paid, too.

The possibility of Murray returning was squashed earlier this week when he himself said that he plans on pursuing baseball after this year.

This. Should have run nickel and played Ossai more.

Herman and Orlando need to have some personnel discussions during bowl season.

I have not heard anyone say Murray is going to stay.

He is better at football than baseball.  The A’s way overpaid.

Teams gamble every year on upside and tools.  Most of the time they end up like donavan Tate or bubba starling, but if the gamble pays off, the majors get players like Mike trout or if you want to throw the college QB to baseball player analogy,  you get Todd Helton.

Murray wil get killed tomorrow by major league pitching but that's why they have the minors.  He's toolsy, best playing CF or 2b where his size will not be a hindrance.  It's a mental game and reps in the minors matter. I have no idea if he will flame out in AA or maybe make it to the majors but that fucking dipshit can be successful in baseball at the pro level.

There has to be a drop off after Murray, in theory.

OU has had an extraordinary run of good/great college quarterbacks going back nearly 20 years:  Josh Heupel, Nate Hybl, Jason White, Sam Bradford, Landry Jones, Mayfield and now, Murray. That’s not even counting Thompson or Bell, both of whom won 11 games in 2006 and 2013, respectively.

Did you just list Thompson as evidence of their great QB’s? You kind of throw your argument in the trash when you do that.
