I'd imagine it's also get out before the stink from this makes it difficult to get a decent job. It's Mizzou, sure, but it is the SEC.

I want in on this.

I'm imagining that scene in As Good As It Gets where the lady asks him how he writes women so well, except instead of being an asshole Roth is just very uncomfortable with the idea that he understands them at all.

This one was playing ahead of Avatar at the IMAX and looked amazing.

2021 - Is inflation finally back in the conversation?
Evil Bill Obrien replied to Reagan1k's topic in Business and Markets
Watched two incredibly informative videos on YouTube yesterday that really made me think of this thread: TL:DW= Instacart and grocers are using various tech/algorithms/AI to maximize profit by finding the highest prices we are willing to pay, sorting us into buckets based off our shopping behavior (*cough* and probably some illegal sorting based off federally protected classes *Cough*) and charging people different prices for the exact same goods in the exact same store. TL:DW= It isn't that we don't make stuff like we used too, it's just that we have way more cheaper choices than we used to. Turns out if you pick items that are roughly the same price adjusted for 50 years of inflation, they are just as good if not better than they used to be. -
Don’t worry yall, Stephen said they’re gonna hold themselves accountable. I’m sure they’ll have performance reviews of themselves and decide they did a good job just need to replace a few staff members, and won’t consult the head coach, because he’s just a figure head anyway, which is why a real coach will never take the HC job. God I hate that this team grabbed me as a kid. I’d be so much happier as a sports fan if I could have supported any other franchise.

I heard this unique cover version of the National Lampoon's Vacation theme "Holiday Road" a few years back and instantly loved it. It's not a traditional Chrismtas song but it has made it onto several of my Christmas music mixes since then.

I was also rooting for the 3-0 win to finish off that abomination of a game, but the INT was even better. Just an absolute dagger to the Aggie hearts. The best possible outcome.

We can answer this by observing and understanding, for example, the laws of physics and mathematics. Simply, these laws define consistent, immutable patterns of nature. Take for example the Law of Large numbers which states that over time the average result of independent tests will converge to the expected mean as you conduct more tests. Yes, deviations from the mean will occur, but the long term performance will be the mean. In the case of a&m, a 11-2 season will happen, but 8-4 will be the result more often than not. Why? Let's look at physics, specifically gravity. We measure gravity on earth at a constant of 9.8m/s2. But in college sports the gravity is different for each program. I failed the define gravity to open this paragraph, so let me do it now. Gravity is the force of attraction between two objects. In lay terms, this is how strong a sucking force can be. a&m just sucks a whole lot more - it's a consistent, immutable pattern of nature that can only explained and understood as such.

I wasnt familiar with Chloe Fineman’s game. In the dance skit her body is tight, nice thigh gap and fit legs.

Damon, Bernthal, Pattinson, Theron. Great actors all. Nolan has made a few good movies. This might be another.

Tulane beat Northwestern (P4) by 20 and Duke (a P4 conf champ) by a TD So no, don't lump Tulane in there just because they also lost by 35 to Ole Miss in the regular season. They went 2-1 versus P4 teams. Now JMU, yes. 0-1 versus P4 teams.

Back to the original idea - Waymo on highways. I think they've started on slower speed roads because the consequences of a failure are lower. Fender benders vs 80 mph collisions. And they know that they are being held to a higher safety standard than human drivers. And they also don't want to hurt people. They are getting more confident that they can handle higher speeds and greater risk and they are expanding to highway driving. But it's not their main use case right now. Right now, they are expanding to more cities ... mostly as an inner city taxi service. More cities gives them more visibility to more people, and establishes them as *the* leading driverless car solution. They have a limited number cars and they are trying different business models in different cities, while experimenting with higher speeds on highways.

2026 Surly 10,000 Pushup Challenge
Celery Man replied to Celery Man's topic in Can You Help Me With This?
Alright, i feel like we have some takers on 10k pushups. I'm going to do this bike thing as well, and I'm down for trying the squat thing but it seems like UT_OB1 and I might be the only two interested in that? I set up a workbook here for tracking at least the pushups - Surly 2026 Pushup Challenge I've probably fucked it up in a few ways but there's a sheet for inputing daily totals and then another sheet that should tally the totals and display a chart of your progress. I'll fuck with that some more as whoever set it up last time had some nice averaging stuff that i probably didn't get right because I am not a spreadsheet guy. -

Game Week Thread Citrus Bowl, Dec 31st - Texas vs Michigan.
South Austin replied to naija's topic in Football
Not a good look, but in all fairness, he probably knows there's a good chance the new HC will hire his own staff, so he's jumping on what might be the best job available instead of waiting to see how the shitshow of Michigan's head coaching search shakes out. Edit: Js1 beat me to it. -
Isn't he just jumping on a job now before a new head coach comes in and brings his own OC? Then the carousel has stopped and Lindsey is unemployed. This is not an "oof," this is smart of him.
