  3. I got you, fam. Have you tried soaking them in EVOO first? That will cut the friction considerably.
  4. I can tell you for a fact, and Sydney has already posted it above, that Traylor used to be under consideration. You then misread my entire post and mistakenly thought we were saying that Texas would still hire him today, which obviously they probably wouldn’t. Then, when I pointed out that you misread the post, you now doubled down on making a point that has nothing to do with what was originally posted, as if somehow you didn’t misread the post. Excellent job. Congratulations. Well done.
  5. What if someone tries to rob me while I’m cleaning my gun, smart guy?

  7. In the 1930s, the nazis deployed brown shirts and filled their ranks with the dregs of society that didn't have a job or prospects to look forward to. They then used that paramilitary force to attack their "untermensch" and political enemies. https://encyclopedia.ushmm.org/content/en/article/german-police-in-the-nazi-state We are at the point where the feds are hospitalizing journalists and activists for asking too many questions and taking too many pictures. The posse of highschool drop outs that ICE is hiring is just a modernization of hitlers Brown shirts - a paramilitary force that answers only to their fuhrer and doesn't give a shit about breaking the law or protecting public safety.
  8. Regarding this and your last several posts, I agree with your take on the terms being discussed between us, UKR and NATO. My hang up is that we seem to be speeding right past the discussion of what the terms will be regarding Russia. What is being said about what the demands on them will be?
  9. Texas in 2020 coming off of Tom Herman and Charlie Strong is so much different than what Texas is now with Steve Sarkisian, so it wouldn’t surprise me if Jeff Traylor was somewhere on somebody’s list at the time, though I’ve seen nothing to indicate that was more than fan fiction. Also, the NIL/transfer portal landscape of college football today is a different beast, and a coach at a place like UTSA does not have the fluency of that environment like a head coach or coordinator at a strong P5 program. If Sark does leave for the NFL, it’s because Texas is performing miles above the mess it had been in when we were on our last head coaching search. I seriously doubt Texas will hire a coach from a program like UTSA to replace Sark. It’s nice what Traylor has done there, and if he’s going to keep his Texas dream alive, that’s really great, much like Katie Ledecky is holding out for closetojumping. But I think Texas is way past Jeff Traylor. My mind could be changed if he gets UTSA into the playoffs on more than one occasion. But until that might happen, Taylor and his fanboys should more realistically set their expectations. My grip is fine, good sir. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
  10. Again, is this really true? As an adult I don't think I've ever seen Dems actually in power, and when they """have""" it hasn't been Dems road blocking legislative efforts, or playing identity politics games. Tbh, it feels like you and bozo are internalizing and evangelizing the MAGA framing and messaging by just "many people are saying Dems bad" as your whole commentary. It's not rank and file, it's the fish rotting from the head. It's not AOC or Mamdani being divisive or playing identity politics, but that's certainly how fox frames it to get the uncritical chuds onboard. And then the dem leadership is more than happy to tow that line for MAGA like a good controlled opposition does, because they're scared of letting go of their free insider trading meal ticket
  11. Nike just seems to bring the UO wacked-out aesthetic to half or more of everything they do these days. One might call it urban or street wear. Old. Also, I note that a lot of their "OG" type models seem to be very poorly executed in bad synthetics. I've seen some dunk-type shoes in stores and on kids feet that just look like vinyl dogshit.
  12. Is this game in Orlando like the Hula Bowl because Aloha stadium is falling down, or we still doing the 7th grade B team stadium in Honolulu?
  13. Today
  14. Thoughts in general on the Nike line of shirts and clothing for Texas? Getting better, worse, the same? Also highlight whether you are old, young, or middle aged.
  15. You WILL regret dating that chick.
  16. I don’t hate them. But I don’t really like them either. Maybe if they didn’t have the Nike swoosh on them
  17. Fucking legend
  18. I think you need to read the post just above yours. This isn’t me saying this, it’s what Texas at one time was considering. Fast forward to today and I think we all would believe that Texas would go a different direction, but Traylor in his own mind is still waiting around hoping to get a shot. So maybe you should be the one to get a grip.
  19. I’m sure it was discussed on Surly, but that doesn’t make it a reality or a remote possibility. Texas isn’t going from Steve Sarkisian to Jeff Traylor. Get a grip.
  20. That's just the silhouette of the round lumed index behind it. The hand is a straight sword hand.
  21. Putting Trump aside for the moment. Stirring up crime fear among a non-involved populace and subsequent governmental over-reaction is one of the oldest political stunts in the book. The governmental overreaction almost always involves terrible and expensive policy that sacrifices civil rights and does little or nothing for public safety. Think satanic panic, Biden crime bill, Miami and cocaine, the examples are endless. People are getting suckered in the worst possible way.
  22. There are a number of posters here who I think are perfectly fine to clean their gun while it was loaded…
  23. I’m an unabashed ABBA fan from my high school days in the β€˜70s. Early ZZ Top, early Aerosmith, Lynyrd Skynyrd, ELO, etc. It’s a playlist from Top 40 radio back then. I liked it all. Mama Mia is also a production masterpiece in my mind. Just a great hook and the guys that produced the sound were geniuses for their time, IMO.
  24. Some of them may be adherents to or knowledgeable of the Thiel/Andreesen unorthodoxy. The place did host Yarvin at a debate.
