  1. Past hour
  2. Sky Decker, a professional yacht captain who lives about a mile from the crash site, said he jumped in his boat to see if he could help. He said he picked up two police officers who directed him through thick fog to a nearly completely submerged plane. Decker jumped in the water and found a badly injured woman trapped beneath chairs and other debris. 'I couldn't believe. She had maybe three inches of air gap to breathe in,' he said. 'And there was jet fuel in there mixed with the water, fumes real bad. She was really fighting for her life.' He said he also pulled out a man sitting in front of her who had already died. He described both of them as being dressed in civilian clothes. Mexico's Marines said in a statement that it is sending 'its deepest condolences to the families of those who lost their lives in this tragic accident.' Preliminary data shows the aircraft disappeared from radar over the bay around 3:02pm with the first 911 call placed at 3:07pm.
  3. Help me understand… so do blame minorities? I didn’t realize we had that kind of soft power in the US.
  4. This place is a run down, indoor soccer spot now. Or it was a couple of years ago. I had the pleasure of playing a season here, during the summer, w/o AC. The iron gate, Pennywhistle Park sign is still there.
  5. They need another column: targets. probably break it out game by game as well since we had two Arches this season.
  6. Gives a great perspective of the fog.
  7. A: give me some proof, not just statements. B: here's some proof. A: look this isn't productive, I'm finished discussing.
  8. Why did those in power fight so hard against the release of files that were all about fake news?
  9. This is true. Plus beat ou and aggy again. Which is not nothing.
  10. Work it. Own it. Bee it.
  11. If my daughter wasn’t at Oregon, I’d be rooting for Tech. Here’s a view from her seat in the press box working the James Madison game.
  12. I'd think Schroeder - Schraders are for air. "A Perineal .500" is a pretty good motto.
  13. Evidently the counter argument to that position is “quit blaming minorities,” and “bringing back racial covenants.”
  14. You think that's crazy. They used to have an entire Gulf
  15. @thunderlounge No, but I’ll gladly donate this tailgate outfit for Immamac… http://www.universitycoop.com/products/texas-longhorns-plaid-packaged-sleep-set?option_values=7168262570347%2C7178441752939
  16. I think it's hard to argue against that at this point.
  17. Tech has badass school colors/uniforms. My brother went there. He's never been delusional about them and is shocked at what has happened. I would actually like to see them do well.
  18. Not much to report in the GFY household other than elderly mom that we care for with her recently broken hip is, more or less, not causing chaos this week. Other than the doctor follow-up appointment today which she will doubtlessly whine and wiggle her way out of -- cross post to a new "getting old sucks, but caring for olds can suck worse" thread. But still overall, #winning. So a Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Kickass Kwanzaa, Bitchin' Bodhi Day and a Yolo Yule to all y'all ne'er-do-wells and freaks.
  19. Update on Fulnecky and OU....
  20. If this means that it was something I thought was worth talking about, indeed that’s why I wrote that. No. That’s not what that means, which is only what it says- if I personally were a millennial male who was denied opportunity, I would be bitter about it, and I have to imagine a subset of those people (ie “a few”) were radicalized by the experience. Thank you for a close read, however: That is not my worldview or anything like it, so let me make this clear: - I very much do blame our current situation on affluent white progressives for abandoning majoritarian middle class economic interests in favor of narrow social issues and reinforcing their own economic security and social status. - I have NEVER proposed giving back goddamn inch on anything, particularly when it comes to opening up opportunities in the workplace. - I spent a good bit of my career working on this stuff, which is why I’m trying to be thoughtful about how we could have done more and better. Hope that helps. As for the screed at the bottom, it’s got nothing to do with me, what I think, what I said, or what I do, but if it made you feel better to get it out, I’m glad.
  21. Worse still because the team around him cannot shoot the 3 with any consistency when Max Christie and Naji Marshall go from ice in veins to ice cold.
