Weird. I wish it happens to every OU player I can think of, since the beginning of time. -
Winning is contagious, even from an owner’s standpoint. Unless, well…. Jerrah.

Correa is 30 not 35. There is a world where he gets healthy and rebounds into form

Some of their testimony runs counter to previously established facts. ABC also has reporting, no paywall: https://abcnews.go.com/US/kerr-county-texas-lead-emergency-management-official-asleep/story?id=124237644 "We received no alerts suggesting an extreme weather event was imminent [referring to July 3]. For context, we received hundreds of alerts during the summer. This past July, we had over 80. My first indication that this storm was different came when I woke up to texts and calls from Chief Kidd, Sheriff Leitha and Dalton Rice," Kerr County Judge Rob Kelly testified. "We now know that by that time, the flooding had already overtaken Camp Mystic, part of the hills in La Junta and several other upriver camps, something I could never have imagined. This extreme weather event was not forecast by the National Weather Service in a timely manner. Based on the volume and tone of the messages, I recognize that something more serious and potentially tragic was unfolding," Kelly continued. ... Alicia Baker, shaking with emotion and holding back tears, described the horrors of losing her daughter and parents. Baker told the committee she had spent her summers on the Guadalupe River since 1990, and her parents owned a cabin there for nearly 20 years. Baker described the harrowing hours of not knowing the fate of her daughter and parents. "I waited there for over 12 hours for news, and literally no one could tell you anything at all," Baker said. "Literally, no one was in charge." She added, "We need to do better for the people in this community, for the people that are suffering."

After all these years, finally some moral clarity from the Western democracies. Notably, the US is not among them. France, Canada and the UK have decided to grant statehood to the people of Palestine.

had a productive session today. bought in for 400, lost around 80 on my first hand, and then went total card dead for 2 entire rounds. like not even worth a limp call kinda bad cards. finally get a hand where I 4 bet AJo from $10-$25- to me making it $85 from the SB. got 2 callers, A high flop, bet out 90 both fold. win a few smaller pots to get to somewhere around 7ish. then the hand of the day. I am UTG after a live 5 straddle, 3 players acting behind me have been raising most hands. so I limp call KK with the intention of raising... except 5 others limp until the straddle basically min bumps it to 15. I again slow play here because 2 of the aggressive guys are still in and they love to make a move in this kind of spot. except my plan totally fails and everyone calls..... 7 to the flop. which is K 4 2 rainbow. checks to me.. now I want to keep everyone in. so I bet 15. all but 1 call. turn is fantastic, its the 4th suit 9. checks to me.. and now i size up, but again am trying to get anyone with a whatever straight draw to call i make it 55... and it folds completely around to the straddle 😒 who if he plays back at me, has me covered, He starts mubling about wanting to pack up and go... and then tosses in 1 chip and then 2 seconds later says all in... I dont react at all... dealer correctly tells him the all-in isnt valid, the chip meant call. inside Im like DAMMIT.... cause duh i have the nizzles right now. I also know based on the fucking go home speech hes got a big hand. river is a total brick. its a 7. and the straddle follows through with his all in. i announce nuts, call .. and he flips over AA. more than double up... play for only another 45 mins before the table unexpectedly breaks. in for $500 (had to buy time) out for $1512. AA v KK gets ugly a lot... this one just happened to go my way. I also played it super passive which isnt normally my style and is probably the reason he thought he was good.

Maybe I’m wrong, but I kinda get the impression the Canadians are no longer even trying to make a deal. They’ve just moved on and are disentangling their economy from ours.

The waters of high yield investments can be very difficult to navigate. At the end of the day any investment must have a decent total return in order to be successful. Many high yield investments just end up eroding the principal, so the yields give a misleading view of the investment’s return. And to make it worse, they constantly turn unrealized gains into realized gains that are taxed. Not saying there’s not a place for higher yielding investments. Just really must understand how they get those yields.
