Covid/Influenza/Black Death. 2024 and beyond
Descendant replied to Parliament's topic in Daily Texan
Covid vaccine manufacture has its own section and will be under the gun as well. DNA contamination has been demonstrated multiple times. A recent study was very detailed. https://www.tandfonline.com/doi/10.1080/08916934.2025.2551517?url_ver=Z39.88-2003&rfr_id=ori:rid:crossref.org&rfr_dat=cr_pub 0pubmed#d1e271 An endorsement from the director of the cancer center at Brown. Here, an explainer from one of the authors. -

No, you're not being clear. You're taking the side of the poor, oppressed white men WHO FUCKING OWN AND RUN JUST ABOUT EVERYTHING. You take the position that racism goes both ways when, actually, one side has been known to operate out of racism while the other side is subject to it. Or perhaps you see the American Experience being the same for all since its inception. I am a white man. I think white men running the country from a sense of superiority to non-white men has caused a lot of problems. White man government in this country has led to the poorly run carnage fest referred to earlier. I'd like to see a stop to it. I've stated that I'd like to see white men step aside for about 20 years. I haven't recommended nor would I support laws or extra-legal efforts to round them up into concentration camps or "holding camps" cheerfully named Alligator Alcatraz by masked, armored, unidentifiable, heavily-armed thugs motoring around in SUVs and military vehicles. You are correct in the quoted post that someone is indeed an idiot. Or willfully obtuse. -

My Dad was Mizzou Class of 1933. Mom took me and my two brothers there for 7 months to await his return from France in 1945. He passed away in 2002, so no help there…..and I don’t remember anything about the place. Sorry.

This is hilarious. Getting a pirated feed means that SOMEBODY out there is giving money to them so you can watch, which means you watching is helping them get money. You're still seeing their ads, which is where most of their money comes from. Way to go! You showed them! BWAHAHAHAHA... if they were still making money off pirated feeds then they wouldn't be so hellbent on shutting down every pirated feed they can find.

The destruction of America's public education system
Texas Jeff replied to Captainant's topic in Cloak Room
Bryker Woods is an interesting choice. It is a small school in poor condition but the surrounding schools are mostly full or overcrowded according to the rubric they released. Perhaps they are serious about limiting transfers to the West Austin elementaries, which might free up enough space to absorb the local population. Maplewood will probably be merged into Campbell. One of the trustees has mentioned this idea several times in board meetings. Fun fact: Bedichek was a filming location for "Dazed and Confused". IMHO, it looked old and out of date 30 years ago. -
Cancel Verizon and get a land line.

I didn’t think Nebraska did the whole transfer thing. I thought their coach cried about building teams from the portal a few years ago.

I think it would’ve gone so much better than it did under Trump. First, the plans and precautions and preparations that had already been put into place would have still been there instead of being dismantled by Trump. They would’ve taken the threat seriously and communicated it publicly, not tried to trivialize it like Trump did. And Congressional Republicans, not cowed by their fear of Trump, would’ve been safe to acknowledge the seriousness of the emergency. I think there would’ve been much more unity in messaging and hundreds of thousands of lives would’ve been saved. There might have been some pushback from the right-wing media, and of course Trump would have been tweeting contrarian bullshit, but the adults would have been in charge and that includes Republicans who had escaped the need to turn into cowardly sycophants to Trump in order to protect their political careers. And yes, literally anyone in the White House would’ve approved Operation Warp Speed (maybe under a less hyperbolic name). All or most of our leaders would’ve been open about wearing masks, maintaining social distancing, and getting the vaccine. Yes, of course there would have been instances of politicians in situations of not following the rules and their political opponents would’ve made a big deal out of it. ‘You had a party! You held a fundraiser and didn’t wear a mask!’ Just like did happen sometimes around the globe. But overall there would not have been a campaign of mixed messages and disinformation. Hillary knows a little something about health care. And you can bet your life that she would’ve respected the advice of Dr. Fauci, wouldn’t have demonized him, and never, ever in a million years would have suggested that maybe people should inject disinfectant into their bodies as a means of fighting the virus like Trump did.

I would say that at some point someone on Stephen Miller’s staff will compile a list of sites that are critical of TFG. This one will be on it and so will my favorite site that I subscribe to which is Defector. David Roth’s writing about TFG alone will get them on there. Roth is the best political writer in America and has been for a good long while. I hope more people will subscribe to them because as they grow they add more writers to the staff and give more freelance writers the chance to write for them.

Red Ash is really, really good, but – and this might be my age showing – it’s so loud that it’s hard to carry on a conversation with a party greater than two. I mean, louder than most restaurants in Austin.
