No return trip on Maryland’s schedule after we stepped out of SEC play last year to face them in their backyard. Very rude

Ohtani would disagree with this statement. I am sure he can learn to play third. Pull the trigger Jim and Dana!

If Crane was willing to spend $30M+ a year on a player then why not Alonso? Heck, even if they had signed Pete instead of Walker with all the injuries there are just too many needs. There isn't a silver bullet player out there that solves the pitching, third base, and left handed hitting.

CJ Vogel: First Day of Fall Camp Reactions *** First Team Offense QB – Arch Manning RB – Tre Wisner ... and CJ Baxter WR – Ryan Wingo WR – Parker Livingstone Slot – DeAndre Moore TE – Spencer Shannon LT – Trevor Goosby LG – Neto Umeozulu C – Cole Hutson RG – DJ Campbell RT – Brandon Baker ... and Andre Cojoe Second Team Offense QB – Trey Owens RB – Christian Clark and Jerrick Gibson WR – Kaliq Lockett WR – Jaime Ffrench Slot – Ryan Niblett TE – Jordan Washington ... and Jack Endries LT – Jaydon Chatman LG – Nate Kibble C – Connor Robertson RG – Connor Stroh RT – Andre Cojoe Third Team Offensive Line LT Nick Brooks LG Devin Coleman C Daniel Cruz RG Jackson Christian RT Jordan Coleman **** First Team Defense in Pursuit Drills EDGE: Colin Simmons DL: Alex January DL: Hero Kanu EDGE: Ethan Burke LB: Anthony Hill Jr. LB: Liona Lefau STAR: Graceson Littleton CB: Malik Muhammad CB: Jaylon Guilbeau S: Jelani McDonald S: Michael Taaffe Second Team Defense in Pursuit EDGE: Colton Vasek DL: Alex January DL: Cole Brevard EDGE: Zina Umeozulu LB: Trey Moore LB: TyAnthony Smith STAR: Wardell Mack CB: Santana Wilson CB: Warren Roberson S: Xavier Filsaime S: Derek Williams Jr. Special Teams Punt Returners (in order): DeAndre Moore, Daylan McCutcheon, Ryan Niblett *** NOTES – Freshmen DB Jonah Williams and freshman CB Kade Phillips were not fully active in the first practice of fall camp. They were mostly bystanders in the period that media was able to view. – I thought S Derek Williams Jr. was limited a bit as well. He is still sporting a big brace on his knee as he returns back from an ACL. Williams was on the field but probably closer to 75% than full speed in my opinion. – RB CJ Baxter was also sporting a big brace on his right knee. Baxter worked in the team drills and looked to be a full participant as far as I could tell. – I was blown away watching DL Josiah Sharma in pads. He was without question the largest defensive lineman from a physical standpoint. He also was moving incredibly well. Stock definitely rising off of the first watch for the freshman from California. – During the punt portion, I pulled out my stop watch for hang times on new P Jack Bouwmeester. @Bobby Burton and I looked at each other after a couple of boomers in awe. 1st Punt: 4.78 2nd Punt: 4.75 3rd Punt: 4.91 The first group of gunners I noticed were Warren Roberson and Ryan Niblett. Xaiver Filsaime, Tre Wisner, DeAndre Moore, Graceson Littleton all factored into the rotation as well. – It was Michael Taaffe who broke out the team for the first practice of the spring after warmups and stretch lines. I like what I saw from the Texas quarterbacks. Trey Owens had a few nice passes, KJ Lacey received some praise from the Texas coaching staff and new transfer QB Matthew Caldwell can really spin it as well. The ball looks different coming off his hand than the two others. But of course, all attention goes to Arch Manning in these situations. Manning undisputedly is the heart beat of the offense. Several times you can hear Arch let out a "Let's Go!" after another quarterback connected with a WR to end a drill. Often times put his hands up replicating a touchdown signal as well. He was fired up to be back on the practice field. – New TE Jack Endries received some run with the first team as media was asked to leave the field. – As for freshman LT Nick Brooks, I imagine he will work from behind the line to start fall camp, much like the remainder of the freshman in fall camp, but even more so after his offseason commotion. *** Texas added a cooling pod in between the Bubble and the practice field. I noticed the running back unit stopped inside in between practice periods to cool off before heading back down to the field for a team period. A couple of Texas spokesmen said the training staff also has crates of Gatorade and fruits cut up for water periods. Again, it was probably 99º on the afternoon for day one. I saw a lot of Texas players changing cleats or cutting the tape off of their ankles due to the heat as well. -
@destroya, @Superhero, I too love my stainless steel collar stays. Some from Amazon, some from Tyrwhitt (thanks for the Tyrwhitt link a while ago, SH). However, today they became a trivial thing that made me surly. The washing machine stopped working. Wouldn’t drain or spin. No front access panel. Had to drain it with a siphon and then the water under the drum with a cup. It was messy. Finally got to the pump, scrunched down between the wall and the washer, very limited working room. Two collar stays stuck in the pump, prohibiting it from spinning. Got them out, all is well. I’m surly that it happened but pleased that I fixed it. Moral of the story: if you wear dress shirts, check and doublecheck for collar stays before you put them in the wash. And be somewhat competent with household repairs. TLDR: collar stays are great until they’re not, and it pays to have some basic household skillz.

Yes, the travel will be hard. I wonder if he can afford plane tickets to come home or to have his parents come see him whenever he wants? If only he could somehow get money.... -
The Montgomery County DA might make that choice easy for the Texans.
