2025 Boston Red Sox: Anti-Torpedo Countermeasures
MuellerHorn replied to MuellerHorn's topic in Baseball
Man, spot on summary. The redeeming qualities are the "young af team" part and how much the starting pitching has improved. I hate to waste Chapman, as he's 38 and having a great year, but maybe that continues next season. They're going to have to buy/spend in the off season to take advantage of the current roster, though. -
Have you read the thread? Most people agree it’s worth watching once, preferably not sober, but it still isn’t good. Both can be true.

I’m not 100% that I’m not mixing concerts together but I could swear I saw TOP with BB King and Jimmie Vaughan (and Indigenous) at the Arena in Houston in the late 90s. I was a kid going to a concert with my dad so of course it was incredible but I remember it being incredible.

It was an absolutely acceptable “turn your brain off, laugh and Leo point at all the cameo” type of movies. Not everything has to be award worthy. You’re mostly right, it’s being compared to a movie from when we were all 30 years younger than we are now, when we were much different people in a much different world Learn to laugh at things, folks. Not everything has to be critically broken down and analyzed.

As frustrating as these last 3 weeks or so have been, imagine being a Mariner fan. The Astros go 5-11 and the M's can only close to 4 games to date. Time to empty the fucking training room, tell Alvarez to either decide to play or have the surgery, and get Spencer and Christian back in the rotation.

Hillbillies and rednecks are different beasts and I feel that's getting lost here. Vol fans trend very hillbilly. Auburn or Miss State fans are pure redneck. -

When they have the means and your time is being robbed this early in the process you need to sit down and have a tough love talk. We love you, but I can't allocate 15% of my free time to you for the next 30 years. Right now your time IS MONEY, and you do not have an endless amount of either. Especially when you are trying to allocate for your own retirement/demise. You know simply acknowledging the efforts of others in life is one of the easiest things we can all do. And probably one of the things we simply do not purposefully act on nearly as often as we should. What's hard to understand is the ability of a sibling to not chip in time or money and allow one sibling to shoulder all the burden. Usually, for some reason, that neglectful sibling becomes very engaged if there are any assets post death... -
Was probably a little better than I expected. Wish they would have went a little different direction then the Maxi golf league.

Yeah she was shown for the first time in a major role in season 7 (?) I think

PERSONAL FRAGRANCES. My legal assistant has asthma super bad. We have a big sign on the door that says please don't enter if you have any kind of fragrance on. We tell people when they call for a consultation to not wear fragrance or lotion. The worst is the laundry fragrances. Shit I was on tennis court and someone from 5 courts over was playing and the "fragrance" was wafting over the whole facility. My assistant keeps an emergency inhaler and nebulizer by her desk for the folks who can't read or hear. -
This article is all I can find, best I can tell is the app is geofenced to only work in TX and they're just applying the same legal loophole that lets them run the brick and mortar card room. Texas Card House finds loophole to create online poker game

If someone started a campaign to have dozens of eggs delivered daily to the residents of those apartments, I bet a lot of people would chip in a few bucks. -

Maybe 3 SEC programs can call others in the conference hillbillies - Florida, Texas, Vanderbilt. And Florida has their own Floridaman version to contend with, so they should probably be quiet. And there’s very much different flavors of hillbilly in the SEC - the coonass ones are way different than the arky type of hillbillies. Or the Clem aggy type. -
This is the first time I can recall see Diane and she actually having lines in a scene. If I remember correctly, Rick was working on portal travel and was stuck, she encouraged him, and there was a comment about someone going for ice cream when Rick Prime dropped the bomb which killed Diane. I can't recall an explanation ever given as to why Rick Prime first killed C-137's Diane and then used the Omega device to erase Diane from all dimensions. One theory I heard once was Rick Prime was the first to discover portal travel, choose to explore the dimensions versus staying with Diane and Beth, Diane left him with Beth and the pain was so profound that he wanted to erase any memory of Diane. Overall, liked the first 20+ minutes of this one, thought it fell apart a bit at the end of the chase scene, and liked the ending. Reconfirmed Rick has always been a shit father, Diane is the parent who raised Beth, and when Diane was killed C-137 was unable to put aside his pain and loss for the good of their daughter. That story line is pretty damn real for far too many families.

Gotcha. That’s very true. Alabama is the measuring stick program for SEC teams because of their history of success. Even in the Bill Curry or Mike Shula years, beating them was a highlight of the season for most schools. -

FYI, you can find off-brand rechargeable batteries for Spypoint cams on Amazon that will last several months between charges. I've replaced the disposable batteries in almost all of the cameras at our lease. About $15-25 each depending on the model. Most use LIT-22 batteries and you can get a pack of 2 for $45. They charge with any standard USB-C cable.
