  1. Past hour
  2. I remember these days. They sucked.
  3. 80 to 85 with low humidity and overnight temps in the low to mid 60s is perfect. We get that about four days a year. Two days in fall and two more in spring.
  4. Well, I think No Country for Old Men did what that movie did 40 years ago. I'd also argue that The Good, The Bad and The Ugly was more in line with my original point of altering the black and white narrative of who is good and who is evil to a much greater degree. Particularly, in retrospect over the decades. The US civil war aspects, various races, and lack of clear hero changed the Western movie landscape tremendously. Was Tuco, one of the best "villains" of all time, BTW, really evil? Does The Outlaw Josey Wales exist without The Good, The Bad and The Ugly? Does Unforgiven? I'm not diminishing Lonely are the Brave, but I'd wager pretty heavily tons more people know and lovd the Good, the Bad and the Ugly than Lonely are the Brave.
  5. True but I’d be willing to bet Gundy is toast. Bill did lose 55-0 to OU in Bill Snyder family stadium so yes, it happens ha

I assume Greenway? I like the bar area at that location. Nice and tucked back and away from the door.
  7. Have to agree that Superman did define the genre. Batman was just a better movie, IMO, while adding the movie song soundtrack to the mix.
  8. My read is that Bukele is saying they are going to send more people to El Salvador since SCOTUS just made it completely legal for ICE to racially profile people.
  9. Out of curiosity, do you have a targeted macro ratio and calorie goal? It kind of sounds like you do because you mentioned trying to up your protein intake. Just curious if you are working within a specific macro split.
  10. Yeah, there’s big enough wiggle room in there to drive a truck through it. Elmo will claim a million @Guadaloopys signed up and no one will challenge it.
  11. Yes we have. DEA teams embedded with Colombian Police. Raids in Guatemala. The difference is we did not make it a major policy announcement. Usually we used their police and military. But we trained and equipped them. Embedded advisors, provided intel, etc.
  12. Frat boy part is great!
  13. Enter the Dragon, for sure.
  14. Yes, a couple of posters say stuff like that. And a dozen more do not. Acting as if a couple of people represent the masses is a silly strawman and I'm not sure why you're bothering to spend the time to set it up. Far more people shit on APD on this thread and all the others, than defend it. One difference though, is that Austin voters aren't voting for the police chief, but they are voting for the DA.
  15. I'm starting to wonder if you're related to my wife. The exact same scenario and exact same age. We were at a college graduation party back in early May for his younger cousin and his wife had to hastily drag his ass out of there because he was spouting off to his mom's cousins and about to start some shit.
  16. from a crna friend in Austin. Shes been married to her husband (family originally from turkey) for 10 or so years. They have 2 kids. Crazy. Fucking.crazy.
  17. martial arts - I would say Enter the Dragon. Some may say Seven Samurai but that is almost all swordplay.
  18. You are a bit confused on Patterson's scheduling before joining the B 12. They would play anyone big conference school that would schedule them and that includes Texas, OU, Nebraska, LSU, Ohio State, Tech, Baylor, Arizona, and Oregon State and not those Baylor teams were with Briles and the Tech teams were with the Pirate, so not exactly the soft touches you lumped us in with and also note Texas, OU, and Nebraska were all at those schools.
  19. They saying auburn is gonna flip Corey Wells
  20. I've read it. APD gets a free pass, because you can't expect them to do their job when Garza sucks and also he's mean to them. "Would YOU want to be a cop in Austin?", attributing the implied "no" functionally entirely to the fact that we have a shitty DA. The "yeah but" is no defense of Garza. It's pointing out that some of the problems people are bitching about aren't tied to the shitty DA at all. The DA doesn't decide not to send units to a crime report, APD does that all on its own. Plenty of excusing APD and blaming it on Garza, or at least "it's not APD's fault":
  21. Heading to big island tomorrow for the first time. 4 nights at Mauna Lani. Probably not enough time, but wasn’t my call. Realistically hoping to do a full day for Volcanoes NP and then another half day for manta ray scuba. Has anyone scuba’d it before? Worth it over snorkeling? I’m the only certified diver in the group, so wanted to make sure.
