Texas Football 2025 - Playing With Our Food
Hank Kingsley replied to closetojumping's topic in Football
Did a quick rewatch of the SJSU game and it triggered my reaction from Saturday: Why the fuck did we run a punt block mid-1st quarter? I'm assuming Sark blessed that decision? Just get the fucking ball back. Offense had two poor drives and desperately needs as many reps as possible. We could have scored a special teams TD there and I'd still be pissed. Is this coaching staff still hungover from the Ohio State games as well? For fuck's sake. -
Things not going well for Charlie Kirk.

If this is going to kick off the hot civil war, did he at least die?

Seriously. Your kids should have some semblance of a clue about their own family - you don't have to lay out your family's finances, bills, etc. with your kids, but they should understood their family is privileged. Like, yes, your grandparents are well off/wealthy. A good lesson in how to make a fortune for yourself, depending on how they did it. And another lesson in "just because they're rich doesn't mean you will be rich off of them one day" Your wife's argument makes more sense if your kids start asking about finances of non-family members. She just seems insecure about it.

this youtube channel is clearly a Ukr friendly channel, and tends to over-celebrate on events that occur that look like Russia has been punched in the nose... BUT if this story is correct, and Ukr sent their new cruise missiles directly into 5 HQ sites in Donetsk, they killed a lot of higher ranking Russians. Like Lt-Col or higher. its doubtful we will hear much from Russia on these attacks, it might be months before a story comes out that Col so-and-so along with 3 Komrades were killed in an explosion in Soviet err Russian Donetsk Oblast. But supposedly these HQ sites had been in place for years. - which again, is why you need to move your HQ's around when the battlefield has weapons capable of attacking inside 700km but hey Russia gonna Russia.

Why is the younger generation so intolerant?

This is almost never the case. It's just whiny ass snowflakes crying about having to hear opposing world views. -

I didn't take a lot of classes like that in the 2010s, because I was in CNS. But I took an American history class from the gilded age to Reagan and we read two books with different perspectives of American history and I found it quite insightful and I would have never read those two books without the class. Even in my ethics class, I didn't see any religious people whining or crying because of a specific ethical framework that may favor their beliefs would probably not work for everyone in a diverse society. In all of my schooling, I never felt like I was having someone's opinions pushed onto me. Even if they did, I'd like to believe being I have the critical thinking skills for an university student to take my own stance on it. -
See this surprises me a lot! I have worked with probably a dozen Stanford grads and all of them were excellent, but different field of course.

I see the boys from Penzoil are back behind the plate today.
