Epstein files update (there are no Epstein files)
Red Five replied to Gil Bang's topic in Cloak Room
This is how this always happens. By next week the polling will be 40/60 on whether a child sex trafficker should be set free. Then he'll do it, and by the next week everyone will have forgotten about it and we'll be on to the next horrific thing. "Mike Johnson, do you think Trump should make the US military use the Statue of Liberty as target practice, as he has proposed....?" -

Epstein files update (there are no Epstein files)
Hank Kingsley replied to Gil Bang's topic in Cloak Room
Welker reframed the question and Johnson said Maxwell deserved a life sentence. Obviously he has no idea what Trump will do, but good to get him on the record. -
To be clear, is it $99 / camera / year? Or, $99x6 / year? Do they maintain good battery life in your experience? EDIT: Looks like the Flex-S-Dark would be a solid option. And I see they do carry an extender (but it is not rated very high on performance...maybe because it's omni-directional and I'm guessing folks have difficulty with that).

Just checking. It is Surly and well...

Agree with almost all of this. Late night like Johnny, Letterman etc were build on a foundation of 3 items. 1) Endorsement of upcoming movies via interviews 2) Various Skits by the host. 3) Guest appearances which were 95% comprised of comics and musicians. Yes, there were rare occasions where the Animal person or others would come on but mostly it was bands or comics being promoted. Today #1 is so grossly over covered by social media, main stream media and other that it has become completely superfluous. People would watch to "get to know" the actors and then see a trailer of the upcoming film. People all have a "direct relationship" with their favorite stars these days via social media and have almost always already seen a trailer long before they appear on a late night talk show. Nothing new is occurring unless it is olds (over 60) who don't really use social media. On Skits and stand up comedians/bands or #2 and #3 there are truly endless skit type and music promotion options on YouTube, social media, streaming services and main stream. I find far more new comedic and music acts through my carefully curated and extremely limited social media. I pretty much only like and follow artist, musicians and comedians. If they go to extensive political post I unfollow them. Not that I object to them having a political stance at all, I'm just not interested in theirs. I'm only interested in their art. On top of all that, someone noted it upstream that if you want the highlights of Colbert you can get them on social media/YouTube without having to sit through all the filler, so why tune in? The point of all that is at this point there is zero need or value of late night talk shows in today's digital media environment for 95% of the population. More unique shows like Comedians in Cars, John Mulaney Presents and My Next Guest fills a niche of getting to know celebrities in a seamingly more genuine less promotional method. They have a bit of skit but not a ton. Net is there are SO many different sources to get the 3 components of late night that it's time has passed. It's over. Go home.

Epstein files update (there are no Epstein files)
Gatorubet replied to Gil Bang's topic in Cloak Room
That is certainly one very possible result. But then I remember that it was common for βsundown townsβ to exist, for kids to work 16 hour days in factories without any thought to safety. When my grandparents were alive, there was no minimum wage, so it was a routine for companies to pay people almost nothing- while requiring employees to rent their shacks and shop at their company store - turning employees into virtual serfs and hiring private goon armies to break unions - all while the employers were protected by the bullshit known as βfreedom of contractβ. I remember American history and seeing that the klan was so strong in the 1920s nationwide that it controlled politics in many states - and was supported by Americans to the point it felt comfortable conducting huge parades down Pennsylvania Avenue in front of the White House. The widely supported Mccarthy hearings that destroyed the lives of many innocent people by innuendo, abandoned by friends, who knew they were innocent, with their employers bowing to fear and pressure and black listing them, truth and the rule of law seemingly no longer mattering in the face of false patriotism that, like today, wipes its ass on the constitutional liberties supposed to protect everyone. I am not holding out false hope at all. But being a student of history, I am not going to completely ignore the other times in American history when things looked so bad that most agreed it was the sign of the end of the country. Citizens and their government were so heartless, stupid, and cruel that it was the only result possibleβ¦but it wasnβt. -
Piastri with a brilliant move for the lead at the top of the hill.

Yup, sounds like itβs just sorting the details of the add-ons. Hopefully sooner rather than later and I hope Newcastle can get Sesko through the door to expedite Isak. That announcement in the Adidas kit will hit like crack. A CB (or two, preferably) and malleable winger profile (Fofana, perhaps) + offloading Nunez, Chiesa, and Elliott would likely complete the window. -
Yeah, if 19-15 (6-12 SEC) gets a team an 11 seed, I'm not gonna worry about a "shitty" noncon schedule. Just win the games.
