  1. Past hour
  2. I remember reading Lupica's book about Mac and Sammy's chase of Maris my freshman year(2000). Such a great time to be a baseball fan.
  3. The Yankees keyboard guy is gettin’ it. I hear him/her play Cream’s “SWLABR,” earlier. Wth?
  4. A guy named Jason Alexander in the Bronx
  5. Great job Costanza. So how long do we stick with him? We've had success in the past going to the bullpen in these kind of games in Yankee Stadium.
  6. A guy I used to know...he's Irish-American, and very wrapped up in the Irish thing. When he and his brother graduated college (about 30 years ago) they had inherited some dough from grandma's estate. They decided to take a year off, move to Ireland, and buy a pub. Just for the experience. At the end of the year, they'd sell for whatever they could get for it. He told me that priests are really hard on the bottom line, because it's widely understood that they drink for free. He said there were nights when there were more priests in the place than there were paying customers. That's from a sample size of 1, so YMMV. edit: I thought it over...it had to be 40 years ago.
  7. Ooh getting good
  8. I had the same thought. Didnt hate the guy, but ready to see what Sark can do with higher upside.
  9. Granny with her artificial hip could have made it to 3B before Trammell did. Not saying another guy definitely would have scored on that, or that he'd even have been waved in, but the guy wasn't running all out.
  10. Because it is a cheap fix
  11. Maybe he needs to go spend some time in a yurt and have some ayahuasca. I'm not saying he needs to go full on A. Rodgers but damn he has got to get out of his own way.
  12. I'll counter on the WR concern. Last year we had: Golden: 987 yards. Bond: 540 yards Wingo: 472 yards Moore: 456 yards Bond was pretty much a non-factor after he got injured (at least he didn't have his top end speed he showed earlier in the season), and there were several times he was not on the same page as Quinn in big moments. Plus, replacing his production likely won't be hard to do. So, it really comes down to replacing Golden. Can Wingo tap into more of his potential / get more looks to fill that role? Seems probable. Can Sark and Jackson get more out of Moore? Seems probable. Will Moseley get 400-500 of yards of production, at minimum? Seems certain (if healthy). Plus, reports are trending positive for the freshmen WRs. Let's not forget there is a statue being made for Livingstone outside DKR as we speak. Golden definitely leaves a void. But the talent / experience in the WR room points to us being at least comparably fine at WR in 2025.
  13. 0 for 4 and a lost fumble It can only get better.
  14. Fumbled. Very reminiscent of aggy game in terms of loose ball security.
  15. Ewers looks identical to his time at Texas. Even the strip sack.
  16. Receivers aren't doing him any favors
  17. Ump has been trash, but I'm just gonna say that the missed call on Cam was the baseball gods evening out the luck after Chas lost an RBI on the ground rule double.
