  1. Past hour
  2. We did a spur of the moment road trip there one weekend and had a blast. Highlight of the trip was getting pulled over going 107mph in a sweet Ford Escort by an Illinois state trooper with enough booze in the car to open a liquor store. Not a one of us was over 21. We paid the fine errrr bribe with the last couple of bucks being change scrounged from under the seats. But no worries, we had a plan. We went down the road and hit an ATM. We bought some snacks and shoplifted more. One guy in our crew took our last couple of dollars and won $500 on a scratch off Lotto ticket. Sweatergawd later in the trip when funds were low, same guy won $200 with another scratch off ticket. He was like a God damn slot machine that always paid out.
  3. Brigitte before the MAL Makeover…
  4. Taker is the goat ( character wise) . 25 years as the top bill while portraying a dead guy. Last old school mind set wrestler. Liked the idea of him waiting to kick Shawn Michael's ass at wm if he didn't do the job ro stone cold. A really nice guy also.
  5. Yeah....DEFINITELY a different class. The prof was an obviously angry short-haired lesbian who smelled of patchouli and bitterness, and the ladies signed up for the class weren't much different. Now, my Plan II seminar called "Love and Vengeance," or another one called "Mental Illness in Popular Literature?" Yeah, they were like 14 person seminars, and I was one of two guys in each of them (and, we read The Bell Jar, and Love in the Time of Cholera). Was an evening seminar. We'd then pick up and continue the conversation at Quack's for another couple of hours over coffee and such. Me. And a dozen smart gals. I was happier than a pig in shit.
  6. Overlooked it.
  7. When did @THUJONE take his work to Colorado?
  8. So- let’s say the pirates called up and said- we are trading Paul Skenes what’s your offer… would you offer: Melton, Matthews, Arrighetti and Ullola? personally I wouldn’t do it if I were houston. Pittsburgh would say no. I think any discussion for Hunter Brown would look a lot like that.
  9. I took that class (and finished it) in 1988. The prof was smoking hot and it was just me and two other guys in the glass with a bunch of women. I look back at it fondly. Only class I attended a study group in. I remember we read The Bell Jar and Handmade’s Tail.
  10. Ain’t a bad life. @Beau Vine’s boy Nick Ahmed hung ‘em up today too.
  11. is there an echo in here?
  12. Yeah, I mentioned it upthread
  13. That was it for Chavez, Shadow.
  14. Those women and girls are gonna be sexually assaulted
  15. Who are you referring to? Elias Haslanger went to Austin High, same class as my wife, he played sax with Maynard for a cup of coffee. I'm not familiar with too many trumpets from Austin other than Ephraim Owens.
  16. I thought White's Settlement was west of Fort Worth?
  17. Had you not dropped, there's a small, but not zero, chance you could have won their trust and by virtue of that, their gender's secrets. And had that happened, wow we would come and say "Don Brisket, give us the secrets." We would ask with respect. We would offer friendship. We would think to call you "Godfather."
  18. @Ghost of LL
  19. 38 Then the Lord answered Job out of the whirlwind, and said, 2 Who is this that darkeneth counsel by words without knowledge? 3 Gird up now thy loins like a man; for I will demand of thee, and answer thou me.
  20. Actually it's not that boring. I've spent a lot of time in Champaign-Urbana. My cousins grew up there and my sis went to grad school there. It's an outpost but those kids have a lot of fun.
